I bought the MaxDisctance retriever a few weeks ago and have to attest for how awesome it is. It's fully carbon fiber, so lighter weight than comparable metal ones, and if a rod segment breaks you can order the individual carbon rod and replace it yourself super easy. Also it will make everyone jealous of your superior retriever. It grabs discs better than traditional rods - it looks gimmicky but somehow works, especially in the water. The only gripe I have is collapsing the rod back down requires you to be a little more careful to seat each large segment first before going to the next smaller rod. Overall extremely happy.
Max distance retriever is a suction ball I played with as a kid with retriever pole. I created this with a $5 ball and $15 pole. Couple clips and bolts I had around the house.
Very strong magnets would hold it onto a bag. The bag is just resting on the stand so the magents only need to hold the weight of the stand not the bag and stand.

if the Mojoh stand could be an option to easily connect to a Ridge Roller bag, I would not hesitate to get the Ryzer. Seems a perfect match! That disc doctor would be a must-have for any wooded-courses-state. I know plenty of my discs have had the woods of Wisconsin do their fair share of damage! And no one likes having to grip a disc in certain spots because they're damaged.
All you have to do is take the top off with the chains, and then the center pole wrap a piece of yoga mat around it with a couple bands of tape around it and then tape the top of the yoga mat onto the top of the pool to keep the yoga mat jammed down at the bottom of the cage, this will make it sure it does not ride up when the chains bang it. Then put the chains back on . If you want even quieter they sell rubber dip you can individually dip all the chains several times with a couple cans of rubber dip hanging the chains around the cage top loosely while they dry each coat if you want 4:16
The Disctance Retriever is nice, but it only works if you can see the disc. if the disc is in the water, but can't be seen, you are better off with a retriever that lets you drag for it. Still an awesome idea. With the Mojoh Ryzer, that looks like it would add a fair bit of weight to the bag, which kind of offsets the value in having the bag a little bit higher off the ground (and how does it work on slopes).
@Mojoh Gear that's like lugging around a clothes iron on top of water, discs, retrieve tools, small first aid kit if in the mountains or places with stinging bugs, and whatever else. I haven't gone past 10 discs max due to weight when playing a course. Typically, I play with 8 that are based on the weather and course I am at. My boyfriend has an 18+ disc bag that I will borrow for field work. That's about the max weight I could enjoy playing a course with if I was determined, carried it once, and that was enough. (Sure, I could carry more, but this isn't a camping trip, I don't want to be huffing and puffing). 8 discs at 155g comes to about the stand's weight. I generally play with 140-150's. So the stand easily doubles my weight for my standard disc carry, bringing it up to that of my boyfriend's larger bag. After trying his, I went with a lighter bag because of the weight. It would be a tough decision to buy this stand. One of the other options I am currently looking at is a lightweight camp stool, and it is 0.6 lbs. I can sit on it while waiting and then rest my bag on it when my turn is up. For me, how heavy this thing is takes the excitement out of it and is a hard sell. But my boyfriend might like it.

No. The only thing of interest was the suction disc pick-up toy, when you're practicing and picking up 10 discs at a time. Shaving my discs, and becomes illegal play and to keep the discs active for practice, a Gerber multi tool file.
Speaking of silencing, why there are no baskets that use rope or other similar material for chains? I mean, you can make one yourself using a thick rope with many knots on it, but where are commercial options?
Likely because they aren't good at catching, not helping you practice with a basket as close as possible to ones on courses and the rope will likely be more feeble than chains.
Oh no, more disc golf stuff I want to spend even more of my money on🙃 random question, but what sunglasses are you wearing in this vid? I've been iso a new pair lol
I had a ridiculous vision of using a remote mower that can locate, pick up and bring back disc during a practice session. I think that suction cup might be part of the solution. Extreme over-engineered solution for laziness.
I'm all for these, except I'm waiting until there's a version of the riser that doesn't require me to drill holes in my bag. Different strokes, though. If you like it, go for it.
Just got my max distance stick in the Mail because my steel (insert any brand) stick rusted out. Epoxy or a single loop of electrical tape tightened up the end cap.
I wasted 2 years (first time i was introduced to a suction cup retriever) thinking that the Kwik Stik retrievers and similar models were superior. Read again: Wasted 2 years. Now that i've got a variation of the max discstance retriever I will never go back.
Disc Golf Nerd he tested the prototype of the Mojo Riser that he was not sponsored by other then they let him buy a prototype and he liked the protoype. Mojo sent a revised edition, and he liked it even more not taking into account he got the second for free even if he had to pau for it. The first had 4 legs and would not work with most backpacks with only the bigger and really big bags fitting, the second was made to fit most backpacks including the single drink holder like the ones Dynamic Discs and MVP make, all besides the really small ones like the Innova Discover, or the similar small sized disc golf backpacks.

I've never bought a disc doctor so fast in my life after I saw it lmaooo
Instead of spending $30 onna flight towel. You can get an automotive drying towel. Its bigger and cheaper.
The chain sound is the best part it musmt b silenced
I had a ridiculous vision of using a remote mower that can locate, pick up and bring back disc during a practice session. I think that suction cup might be part of the solution. Extreme over-engineered solution for laziness.
I live for the chain rattle. Why would you silence that??!
I'm all for these, except I'm waiting until there's a version of the riser that doesn't require me to drill holes in my bag. Different strokes, though. If you like it, go for it.
You don't need to wait for earth day to pick up trash! That reminds me I need to attach a trash bag to my disc bag
Just got my max distance stick in the Mail because my steel (insert any brand) stick rusted out. Epoxy or a single loop of electrical tape tightened up the end cap.
I was super impressed with this video, and have now subscribed. Great job.
Suction cuppy orb. That has to be the first time those words have been put together like that. 😄
PDGA states that light sanding is totally fine
