Dude, the commentary is golden. The sheer speed of their strikes is crazy. The effects the venom have on the mice is crazy. People will say its cruel, but i think its funny
I’m a snake breeder/keeper, and have a degree in biology with a focus in herpetology. I understand the passion for reptile keeping, but you really need to do a better job of taking care of your animals. I think every one of those water bowls was bone dry. Poop (that had obviously been there for too long) in just about every enclosure. Snakes only poop every couple weeks at the most. Not hard to keep up with. I’m not going to go too much into the questionable kick you get out of seeing the mice suffer, but keep in mind that when you put this stuff on the internet, you’re representing the reptile keeping community. How you do that determines whether you’re representing us in a positive or negative light. Most importantly though, take care of those awesome creatures.
I noticed every bowl was bone dry and every box had poop in it. I dont know anything about snakes but even I was thinking I guess they dont need water or something.
Ain’t no water in the desert. As a biologist you should know that these particular snakes get moisture from their food. Maybe he could clean the cages a bit more, but the snakes all look very healthy to me and always have.
@@StevenCanas-v2u I did unfortunately, that’s why i said what I said. Dude clearly knows how to take care of his snakes, just cuz ur a biologist doesn’t mean you landed a job in that field 😂

hey serious question if its stupid? forgive me. Is there a way to remove the venom from a snake? Like what ever produces it, so these snakes could be handled?
they are not dying that fast by the posion, is the fangs that destroy them faster, the poison do the rest after. the size of the mouse vs the length of the fangs = be stabbed by 2 swords at the same time. goinng into all organs in their body.
New better title: grown average discord mod talks shit to a animal that cannot even speak while not even taking proper care of a single viper like he cannot even take care of a baby
I'm always amazed at how lightening fast their strikes are! I'm also impressed with how quickly the venom works. Two questions: 1. I've never had venomous snakes. My corn snakes just struck, constricted, and ate immediately. How long after killing do the venomous ones eat? 2. Do your snakes ever get bitten?
I love your setup; the drawers are nice and roomy, the substrate looks comfy, the hides are nice and secluded, and I see lots of bright, healthy scales~ I do think that rattlers are my favorite venomous snake family in general; they're so polite that they literally evolved a _'Personal space!!'_ warning for us clumsy mammals. They have a bubble, and dislike it being popped; I can relate! XD
And for the morons that b*tch constantly about the empty water bowls. Do you people have any f*cn clue how long a snake can go for without water? Especially the rattlesnakes and ones that live in desert climates. No bowl of water waiting for them in nature. The snakes are obviously alive and in good health so that should be viewer's only concern.
Probably the best bin setups for these snakes I’ve seen so far ! The substrates and hides are nice ! Other vids I’ve seen are so plain with only a snake in the bin and nothing else. Awesome vid !
The video should've simply be called "Strike compilation". All of the pit vipers are rattlesnakes, and then there's a couple of regular vipers, and one non-venomous kingsnake.
Got a quick question... you ever been bit by one of your own snakes? Well you seem to have em all pretty regimented. I hope you never get bit by one of your Rattlesnakes. A friend of mine was bit by a big ol timbersnake, right on his calf. We were hiking ,and I heard the slow steady buzz of those rattles, and I suggested we change direction, but being the fool that he is, he said it was the buzz of a cicada, and I told him that cicadas were not this far north....just as that snake struck him. When all was said and done....., he got his calf amputated. The snake venom digested it. By the time we got to the hospital, his calf looked like a cheese pizza!!!
Dude, the commentary is golden. The sheer speed of their strikes is crazy. The effects the venom have on the mice is crazy. People will say its cruel, but i think its funny

This is definitely a "Nature, you're scary." Moment.

The king snake was just giving the mouse a hug 😂
That snake got quiet real quick 😂😂
I LOVED THIS VIDEO IT WAS SO GREAT THESE SNAKES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL IT TAKES TIME TO MAKE A VIDEO DOES IT GIVE YOU A HEART?
are the boxes just for feeding? seems very small for that big snakes... just asking, i dont know that much about snakes.
plenty room for snakes, they like small closed in areas, that's why they're often huddled up inside of a hidebox.
15:36 - "Man get yo dirty ahh feet off her head man, what's wrong w you?" 😂😭😂😭
😂😂😂 I read this comment as he said that
The reaction of the mouse to the venom is beautiful and gives me mixed feelings at the same time.
Snake: I'ma have a rat for lunch
Me: ok bro but I'm having you for supper

hey serious question if its stupid? forgive me. Is there a way to remove the venom from a snake? Like what ever produces it, so these snakes could be handled?
You would have to surgically remove the venom glands but that’s very dangerous and not good for the snake at all .
Bro you have a awesome snake collection.. you got guts because very few people can do what you do!.
Is there a reason some of the snakes bite and not let go?
different kind of strike but same end😂

I can answer your question 1, usually a few minutes after the mouse stops moving. They can even smell the traces of there own venom to find the pray.
