    Last weekend I saw a dragon and a wolf in the negative space among the foliage. Every season has it's wonders.

    We have a green man - he's on a tile above the cooker. He has a benevolent expression and I feel he gives his blessing to the food we cook. I say we, I'm not the cook of the house but I do make biscuits and treats, and having him looking on is a bit like making the stove into an altar. Which I suppose, it is. Thank you, I enjoyed the video :)

      What a lovely idea, to make the stove into an altar - really creative witchcraft!

    Personally, i see the green man as the king of the tree spirits.
    The week i first became a witch, i was on a spiritual high, and I believe i saw one of his kin. It was a blessing i will never forget.
    Great vid Tylluan 👍

    I have a couple of Green Man ornaments and am forever on the lookout for a perfect wall mounted one for the garden. I haven't had an encounter with the Green Man personally, or at least I think I haven't, but I did have a series of dreams decades ago that left me feeling rather angry at the time as I felt I was being mocked. First dream was about the Green Man, second one was about Pan - both fairly straightforward and easy to make the connection, then I had a dream about Osiris that was really involved and notable and I kept feeling the need to go over and over the dream to myself. Weeks later I saw a painting of Osiris with green skin and the penny dropped finally and the sense of amusement and laughter in the room around me did not please me one little bit. There was a further dream about a hare that was also connected but I wasn't in a good mood with whatever it was at that point!

    There s a face of a green man in the park where i work. I try to connect to it and i found an intelligence that manage the growth of the park, more like a green giant. ❤️☘️

      Have you tried The Spirit of the Greenman near Tintern Abbey? Kathleen Minton makes them....there is a website of the same name...they are amazing and really weather proof.

    Whenever I hear "greenman", I hear the lyrics to that song. "The Eostre Sun
    It cuts my eyes
    Open to the wind and rain"

    This was beautiful and informative! I love the name Silvanus. When I first learned of the Green Man, the name I heard was Viridios. Both are equally lovely, I think. Any thoughts on this?

    • @Morgan_Pryce
      @Morgan_Pryce ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I'm mistaken, I hope Tylluan will correct me, but from what I remember, Silvanus etymologically refers to "wood/forest" and may be of Etruscan origin, whereas Viridios etymologically is connected to "green", so literally "The Green One". Unlike Silvanus who was quite widely known, Viridios appears to be more of a tribal deity in Roman Britain with only 1 preserved inscription. I seem to remember Lincolnshire, but may be mistaken there.
