    These tractors were sold as "Universals"with orange tin work and dark blue castings in the UK I,ve used and worked with both the 3 and 4 cylinder models and they were impressive little performers in both 2 and 4 wheel drive.

      The 4 cylinder models (500 up tothe 600 series) use the D127 engine, a very reliable engine originally used in our ARO offroad automobiles. At winter times, undo the hot plug, cover the air filter with your hand and approach some fire to the plug hole, after it started, quickly screw it back, take the fire away, and uncover the air filter. That's our method to start ANY diesel engine in Romania..

      @@laurentiu.panait2536my 550 DT Super has a d121 motor in it. So strong.

    They were the most cold blooded tractors to start in the winter. Giving them a shot of either would lock them up for awhile.

    You need to turn the pre heat switch the other direction. Clockwise.

      Exactly!

    • @zee_nyc
      @zee_nyc 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It works in both directions on these tractors. (I can confirm for my utb 550)

  • @Ken6151
    @Ken6151 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The cold start heater operates with the lever rotated clockwise. You are doing it backward-- and it does nothing for preheating.

    yes we would i walked in front of my moms 2007 minivan and i leaned on it and broke the entire front bumper when it was - 35 C outside after that i knew i had to get my hands on a truck with a real bumper and real parts no plastic no electronics the most electronic part on my truck is the radio everything else is mechanical

  • @6030diesel
    @6030diesel 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes sir thats why i dont know much about glow plugs, intake heaters or head heaters because deere only used ether in their tractors and it works jsut dont use too much haha

    I think shorter start trials with heating between would make it to start faster, and it's nicer for the starter also.
    Nice tractor though, like this prety modern tractors without cabin. Where i'm from, any tractor that was used by an employed person had to have some kind of cabin or protection cage. So all tractors since 1959 have differnet kinds of ugly cabins.

    such tractors (and all UTBs of that era) are italian FIAT projects build under license in Brasov, Romania, with low-cost materials.
    These models all correspond with an italian FIAT model with high-quality materials.

      I have a friend who has an ORIGINAL fiat 450 from italia and another friend who has an ORIGINAL UTB 445 from Ro same year , the italian one needed to be rebuild 3 times until now and the romanian one has a new injection pump and a segment , so FUCK YOU FUCK ITALIA FUCK FIAT

    • @armandsauciuc
      @armandsauciuc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They weren't build with low cost materials.Actualy they held pretty damn well in time
      What was probably low on building them is the labor.

    yea your too new for me i run with the older tractors my self like the 10 and 20 series from the 60's to the mid 70's my 2 favorites are teh 4320 and teh 6030 but i had to sell my 3 6030's because grain prices went down and i couldnt make payments on fertilizer and it killed me to part with my rare NA 6030 and the 2 turbo ones but i still got my 4320 and 8630 and im not giving those up NEVER!

    AOO08DOYOUHEAR What is the red light with a G on the top left of the cluster? Mine stays on all the time and i cannot find anything on it in the service manual.

    • @marianbucur48

      It's the alternator charging light. If IT stays on when The engine îs runing it means that your alternator is not charging your battery.

    On my 310 the glow plugs are warmed up by turning the start switch to the left halfway, not to the right. Did Long change this in your model??

  • @6030diesel
    @6030diesel 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    so it kinda warms the head up for starting?
