I came into the Messianic movement 15 years ago. I started reading the new testament with the understanding of the old. It was like reading it for the first time. My eyes were opened. It was amazing. Shalom.

Thank you so much for your teachings Lex. It wasnt until I decided to throw out everything everyone has ever told me about the scriptures and tried to read them as one who has no knowledge about them that I was finally able to truly understand them in the manner that the author originally intended them to be understood

      Hello Lex
      How are you doing?
      To avoid biased interpretation?
Use of faultless rule is necessary. Did Daniel interpret thz Kings dream privately? No, Order, Fulfillment, Language and Timing of events provide faultless and verifiable rules. Ten commandments form standard for moral behaviors and spiritual growth. On the 17 prophecies in Daniel and Revelation, they are chronological. Rules include: ORDER of EVENTS, FULFILLMENT of each EVENT, LANGUAGES of prophecies and TIMING of EVENTS. Understanding of Daniel 2 and 7 is the foundation of knowing apocalptic prophecies in Daniel and Revelation. Be it known that no part of the scripture is of private interpretation. USE of verifiable rules nullify private interpretation namey church, religion, institution etc

At 45 years old, I had never read the Bible. Wasn't raised in church. When I finally cried out to God, asking Him if He was real, and if so I wanted to know Him, the Bible came alive. I came to Torah within a very short time by His Spirit. So thankful for being a part of this Ephraim Awakening. The prodigal son who wants to come home.
    Thank you brother, beautiful job.

Thanks Lex that was very easy for me to understand. I hang out on TH-cam and love having the Bible KJV read to me. because i dont understand what the subject is while I attempt to read scripture. The other day i clicked on a site I was getting in my feed alot. I started listening to the speaker reading different verses. After about 5 minutes I started saying no, no, no that's not what that verse says. I immediately ended the channel and repented and asked for forgiveness. I had severe head injuries at the age of 15 from auto accident. I for the life of me can't quote scripture from memory, but I've read them and heard them enough to know Satan's gospel compared to Yeshuas true gospel, thank you for helping me to unlearn the lies and learn to decern scriptures. Thank you Lex

I was lucky enough to not have grown up in a religious home, thus avoiding a lot of biases and hang ups as well as emotional scars from religious abuse. Discovering the scriptures and exegetical/hermeneutical principles have made my journey easier than it has been for many who grew up in religious homes. Not knowing anything at all about Christianity(and being well aware of that fact) coming across James 1:5 , was actually an immense blessing. Let the scriptures speak to you!

I have only recently stumbled upon your series of teachings and have found the experience very rewarding. Clearly, your study here regarding Biblical interpretation has resonated positively among your subscribers, as reflected in the comments.
May I offer a suggestion? In the studies I’ve listened to-and I have many more I wish to immerse myself in-I have not yet seen any mention or use of figures of speech as a means of properly interpreting the Biblical text. There are numerous figures of speech embedded in the text-including acrostics, alliterations, wordplays, parallelisms and chiasms-that when correctly identified, draw out the meaning of the text from the author’s point of view. The inspired writers of Scripture have, through the use of figures of speech, laid down “footprints” that lead us to grasp what they intended as the central meaning of a passage or a series of passages in the text. This method of reading the text elevates, as you so strongly emphasize, exegetical treatment of the text.

Like in Daniel, there are two words translated vision, mareh which means something you see with your eyes, and chazown, which means vision, as in a vision. That helped me to separate the visions as he was seeing. Line must be upon line, precept must be upon precept, here a little, there a little.

Although I may not agree with all of your teachings in other videos, I think this is a good explanation on how to study the Bible.
I like your usage of the different glasses. Back in lat 2004 early 2005 God gave me a hunger to study and the ability to actually understand. When I share that story I always tell people that it was like God took doctrinal goggles off my eyes and I could finally see what the text actually said and not what my doctrine made it say.
I’ll have to change my explanation from goggles to glasses now lol

Centuries old traditions and biased thinking is, for most, impossible to remove, and as is said in this video, stunts spiritual growth. Even God had to use extreme measures to overcome these things, i. e., letting a whole generation of Hebrews die off (even God couldn’t remove their wrong thinking and understandings!)before allowing them (their offspring) to enter the promised land.
What is said in this video is so relevant and important. How you approach the Scriptures is as important as what the Scriptures say…. and will determine how you understand the Scriptures.

Almost any Believer I've known has omniscience regarding his personal Biblical doctrine and worldview. Very difficult to evoke open-mindedness due to the severe bias issue and being mostly unable to actually read a Bible with fresh eyes to see what it says. When one does, many proudly held denominational doctrines and widely held Christian doctrines may melt. I've had this happen as I've been a truth seeker the past five years.

Beautifully put brother. I'm basically new to taking the lord my God serious and studying his desire for creation and humans. I will say this: I'm at a point to were there is NO proof through Jesus were he changed law and I'm tired in the mind of how people are chrlerry picking on what to follow and what not to. It's clear through the fall of the temple and through jesus christ, hence the name "Lamb" that he was the perfect sacrifice. I'm coming to the conclusion that we as God's children need to obey all that's applicable of his LAW in modern society. From what I'm studying, some laws are specific to gender and location but I see no reason but arguments on why we don't obey ALL that we can of his word. These are the same people that claim jesus never changed law but yet don't keep the Sabath, don't preach about head coverings and women/Man roles. I'm here, new to GODs light and yet just by my hard short time studying, how can people cherry pick but at the same time claim jesus never changed law but yet say he has, for example: dietary laws. Beautifully put and put together about jesus saying food when all items are not food to begin with, only what god desired to be food in the first place counts AS food. Amen and I'm really looking for guidance on a teacher who follows the scriptures in the best way they can be followed in modern society. I have seen and understand God did put difference between The descendents of jacob and the Gentiles on what to follow but yet many laws that gentiles should keep all the same while telling among his chosen people. I also think that people assume that all the writings of the bible are completely sin free and the writers are far from it. Yes the writings are truthful but it has been stated the apostles did sin and even when it came to teaching the gentiles, it clearly states what "We" as in the elders and apostles decided that the gentiles needed to follow. Theres No record of every commandment that GOD or Jesus decided for the gentiles. The main law most Christians follow are the 10 commandments and some rules given by the apostles. I also plan on getting baptized in yeshuas name. I was ignorantly baptized when I was young but as I stated, finally, my mind yearns for god and I want to do it right. Tell me what everyone thinks about all I've said, someone with true wisdom and not man made ideals please. One question I always ask is that ok, if gentile and children of isreal, not just "jews", another man made tradition but I always ask if these 2 types of people have different laws to apply then How do we know if we do or don't have the blood of the 12 tribes in us and how com nobody asks this question? I really want to know why we don't take precaution and obey all laws as if the 12 tribes runs through our viens. I can't find an answer and I pray for help on this revelation, thankyou. Also: there is a complete blasphemy on some versions of the bible, I also don't understand how some could recommend these versions that can have lies and human made ideals in them. I grew up with KJV and I've studied so far in it, I like the audio of NKJV and I've recently turned to the NASB 1995 edition for more depth of word on word accuracy which I feel should be the best do to it taking less human idelas out of it but some say different. I've also studied and have opened my mind to translations in general and how those biblical languages changed and the true meanings of certain words in these past languages. I feel people miss some meanings due to lack of knowledge of biblical hebrew and greek and I understand a person could study for 20 years and may not still grasp all the nuassiances. I want to grasp gods word in English better before, if gods will allows me to move on to those biblical languages. I've posted this here on your latest video hoping for response, thankyou to anyone for help. I know I keep going but being new to GODs will, I feel lonely and crave others with a like mind minus the hypricritcals of most churches that literally display all manners of blasphemy. God only teaches holiness so I'm not looking for denomination but yet I've seen were I might be categorized as a christian torah observant, would this be accurate? Where should I go to fellowship with others who seek the true word of GOD not MAN?

Especially good points at 3:53 Approach the Bible with humility.... 4:40 to 7:00 The difference between exegesis and eisegesis. Exegesis requires humility and discipline. (I believe that the differences in doctrines are largely due to eisegesis, especially when they deal with interpreting current events and end times. Some questions are not answered in Scripture. Mysteries remain. A good example is doctrines about free will vs. predestination. Another is God's justice vs. God's mercy and love.)

Love the video...one point re: the difference between 'private interpretation' in 2Peter1:20:21 vs. personal APPLICATION vs. eisegesis.
2 Peter 1:20:21 isn't saying that God can't use scripture to give you a personal word and personal application towards your own life, it is saying that the apostles didn't 'invent' (private interpretation) what they were preaching/writing down in letters...they saw it with their own eyes and received prophecy directly from God.
    PERSONAL APPLICATION
The Word of God is living and active....through the Holy Spirit a Christian experiencing a verse or chapter, can certainly be personally applicable and not necessarily universally applicable as doctrine. The first read through may be like 'baby milk' for newborns....then you get to the true bread/meat as you grow as a Christian. Each time you read the same book, you may get entirely different takeaways and learnings out of it.
    EISEGESIS
Even so, some interpretations are just 'wrong' and the way folks are reading it is not of the Holy Spirit, it is from their own sin, their own agenda or the devil.

I think many people understand that different translations have different ways of interpreting the old texts (word for word vs thought for thought), but they don’t understand that different translations can also have different doctrinal beliefs that also color their translation and formatting decisions, as well as their study notes, which can lead readers in different directions. I wish more Bible reviewers, as well as the introduction to the translation and the study Bible version pages in each Bible made these distinctions more obvious to the average consumer so those of us who want to read different translations for better understanding/bias removal can better understand if we’re getting a totally different point of view/bias or is this just another translation under the same viewpoint/bias/denominational umbrella.

Lex, I’ve only known your channel a couple of weeks now and coming from a Baptist Church. I was never feeling fulfilled. I feel like our father led me to all the channels that teach that the law has not been done away with and we are to keep it. As you probably know I’m trying to understand the law and apply it. I’ve only been a believer for about four years and most of that time was wasted(I say wasted, but that isn’t true for it gave me an understanding that there is a Father and Yeshua)I do not know my bible that well, I understand some and can remember some but not by their verses. My first question is: Is there a way of learning the law in truth without truly understanding it in scripture, I’ll explain I am not an intelligent man far from it. And knew without doubt there was a GOD at 48 years old and came to the faith Coming from a truly non-religious family, for better words. I had only read a few books in my life. At the moment a lot of the Bible confuses me but I’ve learned a lot from channels like yourself, and I’m ready in my heart to read but sometimes the enemy manages to stop me most of the time as l try a take the True journey. If I remember the law is in Leviticus and Deuteronomy & others and I have just started reading the Septuagint but as you can imagine, it’s a very slow read, but one that I want to get right. My second question is : do you hold any truth (I use that word loosely because I don’t know the true word) to the books of Jubilees and the book of 1st Enoch? And I just want to say thank you for your work and understanding of the buth that has been hidden from us. I I know you came from a church that called the sabbath a Sunday worship, and I suppose you could sympathise as I’m having to learn things that would just not taught in church. I am a baby Christian but hold no denomination, I just want to follow the law as best I can and walk in the footsteps of Christ & and trust him, but I just wanna get it right and I’m having a tough time. YAHWEH has been so patient and Yeshua as well being our high priest and making atonement my sins and mine are truly always before me. It feels like I’m reading Psalm 51 I little too often. Anyway, that was the question, or if you’re willing direct me to verses in the Bible. Again, thank you for your channel, it has been a truly overwhelming straight to the point channel. I pray you read this and give thanks for any help you could furnish me with. I hope this made sense as my brain is extremely slow. These days may our father bless you with more subscriptions to make your channel of truth grow, other Christians need need it. Love and peace to you

Why don't Hebrew Roots people do the same? Many of their doctrines are easily refuted by reading the text for what it says, and without injecting stuff into contexts that's simply not there.

@@unlearnthelies The worst of it is their belief that the Mosaic Law is still binding upon us today. It was never destroyed, but was fulfilled. That's the core problem with their belief system.

@@musicinspire1745 Paul plainly stated that the apostles were upholding the authority of the law in Rom. 3:31. While HR has beliefs that contradict scripture, the belief that _God's_ laws are binding on Christians isn't one of them. It is _you_ who refuse to accept the text for what it says.

    • @musicinspire1745
      @musicinspire1745 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@theeternalsbeliever1779 You must have a strange version to think that Romans 3:31 holds to any idea that the Mosaic Law is still binding upon us.
Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Reading it for what it says, we can see that FAITH is the means by which we establish the Law. FAITH is the operative word, not obedience and adherence to, as you seem to be injecting into the text.
      Galatians 3:24-25
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
If you choose to remain under that schoolmaster, then go for it. I'm justified by faith, not by adherence to a system of Law that was fulfilled by Christ. We have the Law of God written in our hearts through faith. You? Well, you can live by the deadness of the letter, but not me.

Every time I read the Bible God appears very witchy. Dust to flesh, cast of deep sleep, bone from flesh, flesh of flesh bone of bone become 1, a crafty serpent, trees that bring enternal life and another that gives God like knowledge ,cursed grounds, hears the blood that cries from the ground, smell the offering of the cooked offering, the mark of lock n key which you shall bare those that attempt to harm 7fold shall be done upon those that attempt harm.

Well, funny. Someone who through his Torahism lens reads into the Jerusalem Council that gentile Christians eventually had to learn to follow the Torah claims others should remove their lens.
He says that while he claims the Jerusalem council means the opposite of what is written in the bible.
Remember Lex, teachers are subject to a more strict judgement. Ever wondered what the Lord will say to you if your leading people from the message of the Cross that was made superior to all other religions in the history of the world to Torahism which clearly was not intended by God to be spread (for otherwise God failed for 2000 years) is actually leading people away from Christ into falsehood?
What will all the attention you get and all the money you make be worth then?

    Luke 6:41-42
    King James Version
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Luke 5:32
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
    Romans 10:19
But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Christ calling sinners to repentance had to be God's choice to provoke Israel to jealousy as it is written in Romans 10:19.

It says that prophecies did not come from human will, so we can assume they come from God’s will. What is God’s will? He wills that all be saved and come unto the truth. Notice how badly most denominations, preachers, priests, TH-camrs, or whoever apparently don’t want all people to be saved and come unto the truth, but clearly God does. How bout that.
Will God get His desire or will men? It’s big brain time.

Nobody should be trying to interpret the Bible, because that is by far the biggest reason false teachings exist. The Bible is usually plain enough for any honest reason to understand what it teaches, provided they are humble enough to accept what it says without prejudice. Ppl try to interpret the Bible because they want to make the Bible agree with them.

Amen and with that said how about we all investigate and unlearn the lie about the shape and motion of the earth, and the firmament in the first chapter of the bible ,we are to give glory to GOD for everything HE has done in his will, we are also to prove all things and hold fast to what is true. Strange how some people profess themselves to be priest and pastors but know nothing about the firmament and the waters outside of it and inside of it in the first chapter of the bible in Genesis and lets not ignore the fact in the bible where it states that the earth is motionless and can not be moved and many more descriptions that describes the shape of the earth that can only lead to the undeniable conclusion that implies that the earth is a flat disc with a imprint in the center as described in the bible ,I do not remember all the wheres' in the bible but I will assume that you ,LEX, will know where in the bible it is all written. PS I am not a flat earther or in any flat earth organizations ,I am just a Christian wanting to learn more about GOD according to HIS will
