Good Morning @Cars_Dogs_Cats, Wonderful to hear from you again and thank you for continuing to watch. We certainly appreciate the area around Gundagai and the town itself. I was impressed with how clean and well maintained the buildings, the streetscape, the homes and the general area were. Definitely a town and area that deserves further exploration for an extended period. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy reading and safe travels Cheryl (ABT)
Good Morning @rustysmith6419, Thank you for joining the channel and watching and thank you for your kind remark. 40 years? Good Grief! You do need to visit again, soon, I should think!! Gundagai, as you will already know, is a wonderful town and deserves a visit, preferably a long one! We hope you are able to visit soon. We also hope you continue to enjoy the channel. Take care, happy reading and safe travels, ABT
Good Morning James! Lovely to hear from you again. Gundagai truly is a beautiful town. I was so impressed with how clean and well kept the streets and shop fronts were. It showed how proud the residents and shop keepers are of their historic town. I also appreciated the historic buildings and the recognition of the Aboriginal people and their role in the towns survival. Definitely a town we want to return to and explore so much more in order to soak up the natural beauty and atmosphere. We hope you had a relaxing Christmas and enjoyed whatever you did on the day. Happy reading and safe travels. Cheryl (ABT)
@@jamescrawford9883 Wonderful to hear James. It is nice sometimes, to have a quiet Christmas to help wind the year down. We too had a quiet day, which suited us so we could relax and reflect. Take care, Cheryl (ABT)
Good Morning @sharyngrantsaunders7322, Thank you for joining the channel and for your comment. Aren't they wonderful? Such fun and bring back memories! Gundagai is full of little hidden treasures and things to see around corners and in nooks and crannies. Our time here was well spent and we intend to return, for the channel also. We hope you continue to enjoy the channel, Happy reading and safe travels Cheryl (ABT)
I once walked from one end to the monument at the other end of the main street and a Cockatoo followed me all the way flying and landing on buildings trees and the monument watching me. It was very strange but in a good way.
Good Morning Neville! What a beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing that. I will have that image in my mind now, forevermore. Perhaps the Cockatoo recognised you? They do have remarkable memories! Or was he/she perhaps just a nosy parker? Either way, it is a lovely image. We hope you had a lovely Christmas and are enjoying a bit of 'relax' time. Happy reading and safe travels. Cheryl (ABT)
@@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy My wife and I stayed over night there as we were traveling. The next morning I walked up the main street to see what the town was all about. I talked to that cocky all the way as it perched on street signs lights balconies etc etc a wonderful memory. I used to listen to the antics the Rudd family would get up to many years ago on the radio and laugh. Your show brings back memories. Gundagai is a wonderful place.
@@nevillemills9517 Now that is a fantastic memory. Were you looked at strangely by locals as you spoke to the Cockatoo? We are so pleased that our channel brings back memories for you. We hope they are good memories too...although it sounds as though they are. Gundagai is magical. We admire the town, very much. Take care, have a wonderful New Year celebration and we shall 'see' you next video. Cheryl (ABT)
Good Afternoon @mattaikay925, Thank you for watching and joining the channel. It is lovely to hear from you. I understand that California does have some Eucalyptus, Is that correct? Australia has some very unique towns, flora, fauna and geology, but obviously we share some of these things with the rest of the world in natural formation. We hope you enjoy the channel and find similarities with your own country as well as an appreciation of our authors and novels. We also hope you continue to enjoy the channel.
