Thanks for the video. According to my grandfather’s enlistment papers for the Boer War he was living at Thorpdale at the time. He got very sick in South Africa and was invalided back to Australia. On the hospital ship got friendly with a Kiwi soldier and he along with some of his siblings emigrated to New Zealand. Was interesting to see Thorpdale. Must visit one day. His parents are buried in the Brighton cemetery in Melbourne
