Before they get old enough to start thinking for themselves, you mean? It's been my experience that Christians are absolutely _terrified_ of actually talking to atheists. But indoctrinating children is something Christians, Muslims, Mormons, Hindus,... _every_ religion seems eager to do. Well, worldwide, faith-based people _overwhelmingly_ tend to believe in whichever religion and whichever god or gods they were taught to believe as a child. So indoctrinating children is probably a good idea, if you don't care whether or not your beliefs are actually _true._ If you _do_ care about the truth, then maybe you should talk to adults who disagree with you. I do,... when I can find a theist brave enough to actually talk with an atheist. If I'm wrong - about anything, not just gods - I want to know that so I can change my mind.

I am a complete fan of yours, Cliffe. Street preaching is where it is at for the LORD and you are extremely gifted. However, I have been visiting churches for the last decade and never found one that really cared about the people inside. It is always a group of business men operating it as a 501c3, with one man who delivers an uninterrupted monologue (lecture) with no EDIFICATION of each other (Paul teaches that ALL THINGS should be done for the edification or BUILDING UP: original meaning of edification. 1 Cor 14:12). They should be small groups in homes talking, teaching, reading, singing, praying, eating, strengthening and encouraging each other. Not a social club, facing forward and upward, watching a show, with bands, where polite exchanges are made after the monologue and then everyone goes their way. Music is another abomination -- it should be a form of all inclusive participation, not a "concert", and a form of prayer not spectator sport. They have cut off half the population over 50 with "rock" lukewarm songs that no longer sing about the battle that is raging like the old hymns that are tried and true. It is pablum and kum ba yah on guitar, with wannabe rockers. (I am a musician and over 50 and really can't stand this aspect of "church".) And finally, there should be no "PASTOR" titles. Jesus said not to use titles and didn't even want to be called "TEACHER". We are all brothers and sisters. I can't tell you how many times I have called a pastor "brother" and have been corrected. This man, Tom Wadsworth, (in the video link below) has spent a scholarly lifetime researching the original texts of the Bible and what "Worship" (should be ASSEMBLY) was in the first century.... he explains here how we got it wrong... th-cam.com/video/z84QJzWlRJc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uvOZUAwVE17Nf9Pq I pray this comment gets to remain here and that those wanting meaningful ASSEMBLY will watch and learn. @givemeananswer Cliffe, as I've watched many of your videos and have almost never agreed with any interpretation of scripture, I must say that your level of Intellectual Excitement about that which is Spiritual is fun to watch. I do have a question for you though... How does one sit and commune with you? I'm not talking about engaging in an intellectual debate or argument about God/Spirit, as that would be the attempt to rationalize Spiritual Truth, and that's impossible. So, anywhere, anytime, any forum, I'd be honored to Commune with you about Spiritual Things. One thing in general I'd love to talk about is why you believe God is Imperfect??? Spirit is Calling(again)..... Will you answer the call of Spirit reaching, or continue to refuse and remain intellectually still? Peace Be Unto You
As a Christian I avoid the age of the world debate because ultimately I don’t think it matters. For example, I think the days in Genesis were literal days of creation. Others think they each spanned hundreds or thousands of years. I don’t argue with anyone about it because when it comes to salvation such a point is minor at best.
Hey Cliff, i also have a question for you. When God is eternal and the universe not.. so what have been God doing before creating the universe? Why has he waited a certain period of time before he created us human?
It doesn't specifically say in the Bible what God was doing before he created the universe, we get a few glimpses of how Gods nature is eternal. God is described by Jesus as having eternal love, it states that God had a plan for that love and redemption of us, his children. Since God exists outside of time we as mortals cant really grasp the concept of what living outside of time means. To God it could all just be, all at once.
We can answer this with some simple laws of physics. Time is relative to space, so you can imagine the universe as a bubble where time exists within in, but not outside of it. So knowing this, God creating the universe as the first thing he did as an eternal being, means that likely everything was going on before then. Heaven exists then, and it exists after our time, simultaneously. It is hard to grasp because our existence experiences time linearly, but that is only relative to our existence. Outside of time, it is plausible that everything is happening together.

If there are countless trillions of trillions of planets... maybe not only planet Earth has living creatures inhabiting it...? For example, if there are a trillion other planets that have living creatures like Earth and its inhabitants are various types of non-human creatures, would Jesus also be God on those one trillion inhabited planets...? 2. If the celestial bodies were super massive in size like that, the number in the trillions would be uncountable. How big do you think God the Creator is, bro...? Maybe God is only as big as the man Jesus...? 3. According to scientists, the universe is more than 13 billion years old, whereas according to historians, Adam and Eve only existed about 7 thousand years ago. Based on this science... maybe the universe has been empty without any living creatures inhabiting it for more than 13 billion years...? So what was Jesus doing for 13 billion years before there were humans, Adam and Eve...? Please answer me!!!!?!!!

This man has no concept of the big bang, which wasn't a bang, but an expansion. He thinks this supports his god hypothesis. Cliffe should go back to school.
Cliffe was actually right in this scenario - yes the Big Bang theory only starts from expansion, but what caused the expansion? The cyclical model is currently disavowed (because the expansion of the universe is not reversing) so the question then is, why was all mass and energy bunched in one place, and why did this expansion happen at a definite point in time, implying creation (for ex nihilo nihil fit)? He was basically making the cosmological argument.
Cliff is wrong. He just dismisses the infinite univere hypothesis and then explains evidence of the big bang. But the big bang does not make an infinite universe impossible. The big band theory is about the expansion of our universe and not the reason for this expansion.

True. And just because _you_ claim something, that doesn't mean that _your_ claim is true, either. You agree with that, right? We're on the same page, so far? You don't actually think that you're infallible, I hope.
So, how do you define "sin"? As I understand it, "sin" is whatever your god doesn't want. Is that correct? If that's true, then "sin" doesn't exist if your god doesn't exist. Correct? Again, are we on the same page, so far?
If not, please correct my misunderstanding. So far, we're just talking about _your_ definition of a word _you_ use. Obviously, you can't define your god into existence, but you _can_ define "sin" by telling me what you mean by that. So please correct me if I misunderstand you.
I'm an atheist. That means I don't believe in gods - _any_ gods. Therefore, _under that definition,_ I don't believe in "sin," either. Yes, I believe that some things are right and some things are wrong, but they're not "sins" if a god doesn't exist. Correct?
Therefore, if you want to convince me that I "sin," you need to start by demonstrating that your god is real, rather than just imaginary. And, obviously, evidence is how we distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking.
So, how about *one piece of good evidence, specific enough and in enough detail that I can judge it for myself,* that your god is real, rather than just imaginary? Just *one,* please - to begin with. I can't address a whole Gish Gallop of stuff in a TH-cam comment.
But, alternately, I'd also accept *one piece of good evidence* that _any_ of the magical/supernatural stories in the Bible actually happened. Again, just *one,* please. But it's entirely your choice which one. And I will _give_ you a guy named Jesus who was crucified by the Romans.
Sound good? I'm willing to be persuaded here, if you've actually got something.

For example, if there are a trillion other planets that have living creatures like Earth and its inhabitants are various types of non-human creatures, would Jesus also be God on those one trillion inhabited planets...? 2.
