This man has the voice of an angel! Been Listening to I See Stars since I was a young teen and now I'm 26, I always find myself coming back to these music videos and they blow me away every single time!
It always saddens me when diversity isn't accepted in the "alternative" scene or whatever you want to call it. A band can grow. A band can change. If they didn't, they'd be stuck in the same spot with no creativity, and y'all would be complaining about that. Personally, I like it. I like seeing a band do different things. I like seeing a band adapt after losing a member. Sometimes I may prefer an old style over a new, but I can at least appreciate what they're doing. I think some people need to remember that a band can, and is very entitled to make changes, subtle or big. And if you don't like it, there's no reason to be negative about it. Just move on from it instead of bitching about things you can't control.
indeed. very well spoken. it's keeping good music alive. as we all see in 2020. this is more accepted now and bands such as i see stars helped and struggled for that to happen. i still love this album. it's aged well even
It depends on the band's reasoning with, let's say, changing their style to something softer. There is a difference between growth and a, "We are gonna go light to grow the fan base:" (A cash grab) Growth would be something like, Amity Affliction and/or The Devil Wears Prada(who always experiments with different sounds anyhow), as to where bands like I See Stars and Issues dropped down into a more pop sound, which seems more like the latter of the reasons I gave, being: "We are gonna go light to grow the fanbase." That is why I can justify people being mad at bands like Issues and/or I See Stars. It doesn't seem like growth, it seems like a cheap attempt at appealing to the mainstream masses.
If you don't like this, you're using the wrong headphones, because HOLY SHIT. A. Devin's screams are wicked B. The synth is perfect C. I need this new album NOW
Everyone is saying this is trash. They've obviously learned from their past mistakes. This song is exceptionally good, and I See Stars will once again rise to the top. I dig Devins screams.
You hear it live you would disagree. I saw them at warped with just Devin who was ATTEMPTING to do Filth Friends Unite (one of their best songs ever) and he just couldnt keep up at all and it sounded like complete utter trash. My ears started to bleed and I had to move on to a different band.
I genuinely cannot believe this premiered over 5 years ago. I have been a fan for a super long time, you all are amazing and i hope you continue to make amazing music. Been bopping to your shit since i was 11-12 years old LOL.
I love when popier, electronic music has screams because I love when music has contrast. So, in other words, I really like this new direction they're going in!
This song is magnificent. Really. I'm so tired of all the negativity. The electronics are on point, Devin's cleans are great (as always), and his screams are quite impressive. Super fucking stoked for this new record.
These lyrics are straight raw poetry. ISS has always hit deep with meaningful words that I just straight up need to hear sometimes. Fan since 2010. Not going anywhere.
This song was not as good as it could have been, but I'm genuinely impressed how Devin is maintaining his cleans so well whilst doing his screams. I can only hope this is their softer side of the new album, but either way I'll support ISS
+dragonforce991 You can't say he's doing cleans well until you see it live. You can do variuos crazy shit while recording a song but when it comes to live performance not many pull it off.
+mason Williams if he learns properly he shouldn't hurt his voice. I do all types of screams from frys to false chord to gutturals and tunnel throat vocals and can still flawlessly keep my 3.5 octave clean range intact untouched. (I've done vocals 9 years though as opposed to his not even a year of learning basic screaming)
I actually really like this. I didn't know Devin could scream. His screams are much more pleasant to listen to than Zach's. My only complaint is the seizure I had from this video.
+Matt Lishman It's even harder to tell who's screaming if they haven't found out about the band members changes. I thought Zach was still in until I read the comments. Hah.
he didn't leave this time though, Devin kicked him out. he's unfortunately gone for good, unless Devin ever comes back to his senses. but Zach did say he's going to start making his own music/band so I'm honestly just excited for that. Not looking forward to this iss album at all
+Dominc garcia actually bro, he did leave back in th "3D" days. he recorded the album but left. hence the reason Chris Moore (the black guy) filled in, in the videos and live performances.
Yeah cris, he's obviously aware that Zach has been missing from the lineup before, so you can stop pretending like you're the only person in the world with this knowledge, we all have Wikipedia.
Despite what everyone else is saying, I really dig this! I like the lyrics, I absolutely adore the instrumental, and I love Devin's vocals. I'm really excited for what's to come.
I love them! I can't wait to FINALLY see them live. I've been a fan since like the beginning. I've grown up listening to me. For my 20th birthday I bought myself a ticket to see them this March. I'm excited. I like how they sound, this way and their old ways. They're a great band either way.
I don't know why so many of you are hating on this song. If you are a true fan of ISS like i am, then you would like it either way. I honestly love this song and am excited for the new album. Also, for all of you who say this doesn't sound like them or the last album are crazy. this is a straight mix of Digital Renegade and New Demons. Devin's screams actually sound really good for someone who usually just sings. All of you seriously need to get off your high horse. One criticism i have is that the production quality could be better, but who knows, they will probably remaster it. Been a fan since day one and that won't change.
A hollow shadow of "New Demons". Scream is good but synths are incredibly weak =( Is this some kind of unmixed version like "Filth Friends Unite" we had before release?
+Hate Razor I know about Zach's departure but he's not the only one who's responsible for great synths on the previous album. It was heavily produced by several people and Klayton of Celldweller did his contribution as well.
I See Stars had been my favorite band for 4 or 5 years now. No matter how they change I'll still love them. I love the old stuff but I also love every song on this album! they're one of the biggest influences on me and my bands style.
Just be proud the guys didnt give up making music , They could have went seperate ways but they didnt to continue a "New Era" for us ,and i think they are doing a gr888 job so far , I LOVE THIS SONG .
this song is a turning point for ISS. it gives an emotional tone with a vibrant and fulfilling vocal chorus. I believe that ISS is working on growing as musicians; if that growth means they are writing more singing over screams, then as a fan i support you Devin. Your cleans are like an angel and a human decided to have sex on a harp; its amazing. If anything i want more of high ranged singing from Devin.
Great job guys, you have transformed your sound while still maintaining your true roots. I miss you guys, and I hope we can tour one day again soon. Much love, Chase Wagster
I actually like Devins screaming, I can understand him easier.. maybe that's just a sign I'm getting old.. I prefer the screams to sound like actual words 😂
Lol at everyone "Devin screams suck, they need zach back". Both of their screams sound very similar, they really aren't that different. I actually like Devin's screams more, but I also understand that is a matter of taste and opinion. This song hits hard. I have been unable to really pay attention to the band until these three singles that they have released. They are written well, the production is awesome, and its heavy and melodic as shit. Also, what fan of any band ever isn't going to say that their older stuff is better? Exactly, no one. No legitimate reason is usually given. This new stuff is rad, and I would consider myself a new fan.
I'm gonna say the same thing that needs to be said whenever something like this happens. IT'S ONE SONG. People need to stop their judgements and opinions after only hearing ONE SONG. Wait for the full album to come out.

I can't believe how legit Devin can scream! people underestimate how easy it is to do so. this just shot him up so far in terms of vocalist marketability. damn. this dude can officially do everything great. anyway, great song. as long as there are song heavier tracks on the album, this will be a worthy follow-up to their band-defining record new demons
So tired of seeing comments saying they need Zach back and shit, yes it sucks he isn't in the band anymore but move the fuck on... this album is not as bad as a lot of ppl are making it out to be. As someone who was a huge fan of 3D and The End of the World Party I think this album was pretty good
Look what happened with Asking alexandria, main singer left been a whole year out fan were begging for him to come and then he came back and they didn't want him back like wtf
I was hoping for something with a sound more like New Demons. (I loved that album to no end) but this is still good. Don't see myself enjoying it quite as much as I did New Demons, though.

BlueLineRipper Only people who understand that this seems like a personality crisis at hand within the band will disagree. New Demons is far, far superior.
I guess these dudes are doing a Dang good job, Devin's voice sounds identical to Kellin Quinn's but his screams CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT be topped, the synth and all the electronic stuff is beastly, I would DEFINITELY see this band perform live😍
@@rikkatheconure2395 I know right! Literally Running With Scissors sounds ripped straight from How It Feels To Be Lost (even though, I know Running With Scissors was first)

if you love a band you will stick with em to the end. Korn and bmth have done the same but they are still amazing. accept change dont live in the past!!!!!
I like how they're keeping the electronic side to their music, it was what made me notice them as an individual band, whereas if they just sang and screamed then they would've most probably faded away into obscurity.
Jimmy and Zack and yeah, they care. I liked what was and I like what is. They've all shifted their musical positions and have added people too. They've ALL been very kind to their fans too.
Ya we care but they obviously weren't with the new direction ISS was goin and had to be let go..life goes on ..sucks but I'm not at all mad at this new style..its fkn killer🤘🤘🤘🤷🏼♂️
This is pretty damn good yknow, it's sad to see people in this scene bashing each other when a band changes its sound and is still releasing quality music. We build and we grow and we adapt or we become stagnant. Glad to hear that this band is keeping it interesting. Stay tight

Thank you so much for posting the seizure warning. I wish more people would follow suit with this sort of thing. I have had seizures, and there are a lot of videos I click and end up having to click out of quickly because they trigger a seizure. So, thank you so much.
If you don't like it, chances are you're shallow and don't understand the very deep meaning behind it. This song is beautiful.
You can scream as much as you want and maintain your singing voice fine it's about how you take care of it.
This is the best ISS album, only pre-teens will disagree.
BlueLineRipper Only people who understand that this seems like a personality crisis at hand within the band will disagree. New Demons is far, far superior.
true
yes
agreed
Yes little fkrs
I guess these dudes are doing a Dang good job, Devin's voice sounds identical to Kellin Quinn's but his screams CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT be topped, the synth and all the electronic stuff is beastly, I would DEFINITELY see this band perform live😍
Kellins voice is substantially higher pitched, but it is neat how similar they sound
@@rikkatheconure2395 I know right! Literally Running With Scissors sounds ripped straight from How It Feels To Be Lost (even though, I know Running With Scissors was first)
@@brysonxd that is kinda neat now that you say something XD
I don't see why everyone is trippin. I think it's good. Not as good as the older songs but still good. ❤️ CANT WAIT TO SEE THEM AT WARPED!!!!
2024, still jammin 🎉 🤘
The screams 😍💪
Am I the only one who likes this?
We're all safe in the Treehouse
It's almost light
im laying my head down
i try to smile
but im weighing myself down
im losing faith everday that im running with you
im losing faith everyday
i will not go
ill make it through the night
i will not go
ill shine my brighter lights
Continue the song...😀
thats right .. they dont make music according to your taste . i love it .. cant even tell zack isnt there lol
why you didn't like the scream of Devin? I think it's awesome but he need pratice a little more
if you love a band you will stick with em to the end. Korn and bmth have done the same but they are still amazing. accept change dont live in the past!!!!!
Honestly i love the song , i miss zach, but this is a good song
WOW WOW WOW i`m schocked this is the true essence of I See Stars.
I like how they're keeping the electronic side to their music, it was what made me notice them as an individual band, whereas if they just sang and screamed then they would've most probably faded away into obscurity.
Poor Jimmy. Nobody seems to remember (or care) that he's not in the band anymore either.
I will not go
I'll make it through the night
I will not go
I'll shine my brighter lights
everybody be hating I'm digging it lol
+Eyes Worth Mentioning yes haha, and there's nothing wrong with the screams...
Can't wait to see them play, at this years Vans Warped Tour😁
This is pretty damn good yknow, it's sad to see people in this scene bashing each other when a band changes its sound and is still releasing quality music. We build and we grow and we adapt or we become stagnant. Glad to hear that this band is keeping it interesting. Stay tight
