I’m so glad you love that Nivea sunscreen ( white bottle , the first one you were talking about it) I live in Australia where uv ray is strong. I discovered this sunscreen last year ( I was using their blue bottle version before for my body , a bit too greasy for me) and I absolutely love it. It’s available in most of pharmacies and supermarkets . And it s constantly on half price sale (yay) It’s Not too greasy nor drying , perfect for face and body , also perfect under makeup as well. I barely wear foundation these days but when I do , I skip primer , instead I use sunscreen as my primer . and it comes in 200ml which means I can just slap big lots on my body without guilt. It’s fragrance free as well . I was actually thinking if you would approve this sunscreen , don’t know why I didn’t get this video notification last year , I have been subscribing your channel for a few years now.
I love the DRMTLGY ones. I use them both. I have subscribed to this sunscreen and that is saying a lot. I’ve tried probably 50 different sunscreens over my life span for my face. I have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. This doesn’t break out my skin. And it leaves me just a little shiny not waxy looking like a lot of other ones.
Just ordered DRMTLGY sunscreens and so far I’m loving them! The tinted one feels similar to the Australian gold one to me once it’s dried down! It’s a bit dark for my skin but I can make it work! Hoping they don’t break me out over the next few weeks!

I don't live in the US, but I'm *_guessing..._* if they approve the new UV filters, then no one will spend their money on the old UV filters because the new UV filters are more photostable. The brands that have already created sunscreens with old UV filters might have less profit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Bless u for debunking myths about skin care, ingredients and sun care. When you eliminate fragrance it helps to reduce the amount of skin irritation, the amount of money you spend on unnecessary products and the amount of brands that has unrealistic claims and reduce the amount of waste! So so so important! Thank you!!!
I really dislike that almost everything has fragrance. Mostly because any type of “smells” it’s a migraine trigger. Specially lipsticks. Wish there was a cosmetics brand without fragrance and perfumes altogether.
The Skin Aqua with a pump is my husband's favourite. I got another spf from the same company but it was in a tube and he didn't like it due to a heavier feeling on the skin. The tube is the moisture essence and the pump is the moisture gel. I like both, essence looks a little more shiny but that's easy to cover with some powder.
The DRMTLGY original and tinted SPFs are my FAVORITE!! I also have my Vanicream lip spf back up ready b/c I never wanna run out of that! ❤️ You’re seriously the best Dr Dray!
Happy Sunday 😊 I like that practical advice of applying 3 x daily as in all honesty trying to apply every 2 hours is unrealistic for most people and not to mention very expensive with a lot of sunscreens. I also think a pop up on the screen with sunscreen filters would be a great addition and then talk through the various sunscreen filters in order but other than that your our best TH-cam dermatologist by far and not to mention rather gorgeous 😉👍🐶
Love hearing you talk about sunscreen ❤️. The Drmtlgy spf 45 did sting and cause redness. I’m fine with the sunscreen ingredients in it. I couldn’t figure out why it did that. I’m curious about their other sunscreens. Currently I’m using the Supergoop Zincscreen which I love but it’s rather expensive.
Michelle Parsons I keep hearing about stinging and redness for some people with SOME niacinamide containing products. I too have had burning and redness but only from certain products containing niacinamide. Others, there’s no problem. Doesn’t make much sense.
Happy Day it might be the Niacinamide. I’ve been using 10% Niacinamide for probably 3 years now. I started with Paula’s Choice and use the Ordinary one now. Maybe it has to do with how they formulate it in the product.

I need to try the Vanicream just because I react to so many of the SPF lip products.
So for as long as I can remember I've always been allergic to things labeled hypoallergenic or for sensitive skin. Bizarre, I know. But any time I put on a sensitive skin product, my skin get really inflamed and irritated. The worst reaction I've ever had was putting on some Almay eyeshadow. My eyes and eyelids felt like they were being burned off of my face. So I've always wondered if there's some common ingredients they use in sensitive skin products that people can be allergic to? I would love to know so I can avoid products with these ingredients
I've finished up a few La Roche Posay Shaka SPF 50 sunscreen! I use it under the Colorscience Face Shield and love it! I also like the Drmtlgy SPF untinted, but not as much as the first two I mentioned.
I didn't know that UV index only meassures UVB. It's been 0.0-0.2 midday where I live, it's dark winter and the sun is only up for a few hours a day. Good reminder to keep the habit up anyway! Thanks! ❤️
Hey Dr can you please make a video on an overdose of vitamin b5 for acne :) I have seen people with really positive results Please enlighten us, Thanks in advance
Love a good sunscreen video. I've been using the La Roche posay tinted physical sunscreen. It Really eliminates the stinging if you're using tretinoin, and nearly 0 cast on light-medium skin.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to share! On top of being a horribly pale individual, I was recently diagnosed with a connective tissue disease and absolutely need to take better care of my skin. My rheumatologist actually recommended your channel to me so that I can try to find a good sunscreen!
Yep. I reapply sunscreen twice a day in our dark winter's,then step it up in March to three times a day,it's habit like brushing my teeth. If you don't think it's worth the money and effort to make sunscreen a habit, three weeks ago someone thought l was my daughter, she's 29 I'm 56, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!!!!
I love the Drmtlgy it's my favorite on my second bottle thank you!!! I ordered their scrub and it's freaking awesome as well:) Your recommendations are always the best!
Happy Sunday! I must confess that I don't apply sunscreen three times a day. I'd have to take off my makeup every time. I put Olay spf 30 sunscreen underneath my makeup. I use Dermablend, which has an SPF 25. I can reapply foundation during the day by not putting on a thick layer in the morning. For those who use makeup every day, do you have any tips or tricks for reapplying your sunscreen...! Skin Aqua is out of stock on Yesstyle. The price is reasonable and the SPF is 50, maybe I should apply a sunscreen with a higher SPF! Good review!
Thanks for another very informative empties video! I have the Skin Aqua lined up, ready to try when I run out of my Hada Labo UV White Gel. How would you say these compare?
I have oily, blackhead prone skin and I LOVE the DRMTLGY Broad Spectrum SPF45!! Side question, how would you recommend reapplying sunscreen throughout the day over makeup?
I've heard people recommend the colorescience brush sunscreen for that specific purpose since you can just layer it over makeup but it is expensive. Not sure if there is a better/cheaper alternative?
@@chanpreetkaur9141 Hi you could probably use a good mineral powder over your sunscreen . I am 56 and found that mineral powders were starting to sit and draw attention to my fine lines and large pores ,which colorscience doesn't . The mineral powder I did use for several years is Alima Pure . They have very few ingredients and over 40 shades . They sell samples for about $2
Thanks for the sunscreen update Dr Dray. I always feel that I learn something new. I’d love any recommendations for a hand cream with a good SPF? My hands get so dry this time of year and my pale freckled needs some additional help. Almost all hand creams I’ve seen have fragrance
At night the CeraVe Healing Ointment applied heavily & put cotton gloves on overnight & your hands will be softened in the morning. I do this to soften my hands from being in water a lot. Now I use rubber gloves when I can to try to keep my hands 🤲 dry. I wish you all the best 👍🙋♀️.
Butterfly I use Kiss My Face sunscreen. It is a combination sunscreen. They have spf 30 and 50, it is fragrance free, cruelty free, water resistant and moisturizing. The regular tube, for the body, is four ounces and if you get the facial one it is even more moisturizing. The facial one is in a 2 ounce tube, either are easy to carry in your purse. I only use it in my hands and body. Kiss My Face has gotten hard to find in stores but I think you can still get it from Amazon.
DRMTLGY spf 45 stings this rosacea sufferer due to the Octyl methoxycinnamate (octinoxate). It smells like cinnamon to me. I use B3 in other products without problem, so it's not the niacinamide. It's too bad because it's a great sunscreen otherwise. TY!! 😎💙
The nivea one is the worst, my skin is super dry but this sunscreen is just soooo sticky and makes my face look horrible, idek how people manage to use it. And it actually is too greasy, I'm surprised it worked for dr dray.
Can you do a video on what type of products a child/preteen can use or should start to use? My daughter is beginning to get a few pimples and a few blackheads. Thanks !

Would love to learn what sunscreen works for people in dry climates with dry skin during the winter ❄️ even with a moisturizer the sunscreen causes my skin to be dry and sometimes itchy especially on the forehead and nose area. The colorscience works the best so far but it’s pricey. Thanks!
Can you PLEASE make a video for affordable BODY sunscreen that isn’t sticky and isn’t rough to apply. I am Mexican so I get tan fast when I go outside in the sumer and when I get tan I stay tan and it doesn’t go away. Half my arms and half my legs are suuuuuper tan and when I want to wear certain clothing I can’t because I have such a crazy uneven tan
Dr Dray, Can you please make a video on what skin care ingredients are good to mix and what are bad to mix? There is a lot of information online about what goes good together and what goes bad together and it's really confusing...
I wear makeup so it’s difficult to re apply sunscreen throughout the day, i use the alurist spf 50, what I do is use the complexion rescue tinted gel spf 30 and the bare skin concealer under my eyes so I get a bit more coverage, that way i can re apply the complexion rescue and still get a bit of sunscreen on my face (I think) don’t think there is much else we can do for us girls who wear makeup 😂😩
Can't wait to finish my stash so I can try some of these sunscreens you've mentioned here. I'm missing Sunday's with your mom and you at Whole Foods and then Tybee back at home but certainly enjoyed the time that they spent with us last week.
Dr. Dray, what is your opinion on the plastic visors that are commonly seen throughout Asia? Would those be a good alternative to the Coolibar face shield?
I really like the filters in the Japanese sunscreens-Shiesedo Senka is my favorite, but I also have issues with hyperpigmentation. Are there any tinted Japanese sunscreens that you recommend?
Can you give us some advice on sunscreen and makeup? Do we apply sunscreen and wait a few minute then apply make up. And how about reapplying sunscreen with makeup. Thanks!
Im 44 years old and just started using additional sunscreen on my face over my moisturizer with spf 30. The aveeno (mineral) sensitive skin spf 50 left a white film that would not absorb. So, I got the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel lotion sunscreen SPF 50 helioplex. However, upon looking up the active ingredients, this is a chemical sunscreen and has the oxybenzone that can disrupt hormones. Should I ditch this? And are there any zincoxide / mineral sunscreens that do not leave such a glaringly white film?...
Can you do a Bioderma Brand review? Specifically the sensitive skin line? I know you like their micellar water but I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on other products--especially since they have some trademarked ingredients that are kind of hard to decipher for the ordinary consumer :))))

Hi Dr. Dray! Please if you can review kopari’s sundaze mineral face sunscreen, would love to purchase but too nervous to try something new, especially for the face. would really appreciate your input. Thank you! ☺️
What are your thoughts on the UV filter homosalate? I read some concering things about homosalate being a potential endocrine disruptor, impacting hormones and enhancing the absorption of pesticides in the body.

Alpaca Hmmm....I see. Have you tried a humectant like Hada Labo skin plumping gel cream followed immediately with a moisturizer? Dr. Dray mentioned in one of her earlier videos that she uses that combo around her eyes in the winter. Or maybe a thicker moisturizer would help like the Cerave one in the tub.
Dr Dray, Would you consider doing a review of coral reef safe sunscreens? Use of reef safe sunscreens is an individually small but collectively powerful act that would bring great benefit.

Hi Dr Dray! Congratulations for your chanell! Your work is amazing ♥️ 🌹🎀 I would like to ask you something about sunscreen. I have read that the chemical sunscreen must be placed first to react with our PH. On the other hand, the herbal sunscreen is applied above the skincare. Is it right? I recently start using the "NIOD Survival 20 Serum" for sun protection. Have you ever use it? Do you know by any chance in which order should I use it, before or after my skincare? And generally, can I use my hyaluronic acid and my moisturising cream before my sunscreen protection? Finally, which is the best order? Thank you in advance B.W. Karderina♥️

What are your thoughts about chemical sunscreens having to be put directly on top of bare skin without moisturizers or serums underneath? I’ve seen a couple videos of people including a dermatologist talking about this. Is that really a thing? to be frank, makeup (especially foundation) gets in the way and mineral powder sunscreens are not enough
Dr Dray thank you so much for your response :)
Josephine Hernandez i will check that out. Thank you.
I started using the Cerave daily moisturizer with spf on my face and I love it!
Love a good sunscreen video. I've been using the La Roche posay tinted physical sunscreen. It Really eliminates the stinging if you're using tretinoin, and nearly 0 cast on light-medium skin.
Thank you so much. I wish y'all a very happy new year filled with many sunscreeen empties.
There is powder sunscreen to brush on
She used up 8 sunscreens meanwhile i struggled to finish one bottle
have to say that the drmtlgy spf 45 clear is terrible for oilyskin , plus it leaves a white cast
So do I and I love it 🤗
I've heard people recommend the colorescience brush sunscreen for that specific purpose since you can just layer it over makeup but it is expensive.
They sell samples for about $2
mary ann Gonzalez thank you!
Chanpreet Kaur I use a DIY one, works great!
Thanks for the sunscreen update Dr Dray. I always feel that I learn something new. I’d love any recommendations for a hand cream with a good SPF? My hands get so dry this time of year and my pale freckled needs some additional help. Almost all hand creams I’ve seen have fragrance
Butterfly use your sunscreen on your hands
Dr Dray 🦋 Happy Sunday!
I been wanting to try the Supergoop sunscreen. Thank you for the recommendations.
Can you do a video on what type of products a child/preteen can use or should start to use? My daughter is beginning to get a few pimples and a few blackheads.
Thanks !
Dr. Dray, I bought klairs midnite blue cream and it has given me new breakouts. Is there anything in it that is not good for acne prone skin.. infact, la.roche cicaplast is a love and made my skin really better..Dr. Dray Wish you and your family a very Happy New year in advance.
I have that issue. I use upf clothing.
Just got nivea kids this morning. I like the feel of it on my skin 😻 thank you. Your videos are always helpful
I find it balls up like crazy after about an hour 🙃
But Its cheap 😊
Sable 711 💙
Following
lesley henry Following.
That is my favorite sunscreen. I’ve recently ordered 3 more tubes from Amazon. The downside is it takes over a month to get here.
lesley henry I’ve not used any or come across any
The best is Anessa BB booster but unfortunately fragranced but the finish is beautiful. Shiseido also make some.
Skin aqua by rotho is the best, i use it as moisturizer too ...
I dont have that pump bottle in my country tho, sad
Can you do a Bioderma Brand review? Specifically the sensitive skin line? I know you like their micellar water but I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on other products--especially since they have some trademarked ingredients that are kind of hard to decipher for the ordinary consumer :))))
Happy Sunday, Dr Dray! I'm thinking of trying the Clinique Pep Start once I'm finished with my First Aid Beauty mineral one. Tfs Enjoy a peaceful evening. 💤
Hi Dr.
I have the Skin Aqua in my cart and after watching this video I’m sold and I’m forsure purchasing 🥰🥰🥰
It’s a wonderful sunscreen, with the exception it leaves a shine behind that I don’t enjoy much
Do you have any reviews on the Skin Aqua sunscreen?
Hello Dr Dray! Could you please please do a video recommending "eye creams"? It could be face creams, foot creams or whatever 😂 that can be applied to very dry and sensitive eye area? Thank you so much 💜 happy new year ✨
see my video on products for under eye circles and crowes feet
Alpaca Dr. Dray recommends just a regular moisturizer for the eye area. There’s really no difference. Just make sure it doesn’t have fragrance.
@@wap9137 yeah I know, that's why I used quotation marks 😊, regular creams aren't enough for me though, because my eye area is very dry, that's why I asked for recommendations. I'm gonna try those from the under eye circles video.
Please review up & up kids mineral formula, especially which comes in pupm and is 16 oz
Dr Dray, Would you consider doing a review of coral reef safe sunscreens? Use of reef safe sunscreens is an individually small but collectively powerful act that would bring great benefit.
i have one
Hi Dr Dray, I usually apply ultrasun 50+ I would like to ask you if applying the moisturizer tint with spf 30 over, the protection of the ultrasun is canceled. Thank so much!I wish you a 2020 full of beautiful things🤗😘
Great video. Would u consider to a teview on the neutrgena rapid wrinkle repair face scrub exfoliant and toner??. I know it has fragrance but i love it. Would love to know your thoughts. I feel like no one has mentioned it.
Hello dr dray very nice video :)
If i may ask you a question dose retin A cream or gel (topical) can cause a liver damage ?
That Nivea Kids Sun is available in Australia. It is amazing and always on 50% off in Supermarkets/Pharmacies.
Thank you for all you do. I never knew so much about sunscreen and skin care!!
In Australia we are in the beginning of one of the hottest summers ever and I am just about bathing in sunscreen. And now, thanks to Dr Dray, I am layering as well - that was new to me and a great suggestion - also do that to the 2 and 4 year olds along with all the physical protection. Thank you so much for all the excellent information without any need to spend loads
Hello!
Can you do a morning/night routine recommendations per skin type? I used to have oily skin and since I moved to Florida a few years ago it’s now dry and flaky sometimes. I’ve been having issues finding the right products. 😊
Can you do a review on averr aglow skincare?? my current routine was inspired by products you’ve recommended & I didn’t know what you thought of that brand. Thank you in advance! ❤️
Hi Dr Dray, love your videos, have been watching a long time :) I've been experiencing a lot of hair loss (am 34, female) and I started taking Viviscal. Would love to hear your thoughts on the supplement if possible!
Thank you for the video ! Would love if you could make a video on hand sanitizers?
Happy Sunday ✌️😘💕
So what kind of sunscreen is best to prevent the skin from darkening?
Love ❤️ your reviews . Can’t wait to finish my current sunscreen to try some new ones. Also could you do a review on the Myro deodorant that they have at Target. What do you think of these natural deodorants that they now carry. Thanks 😊
Would you recommend "kiss my face factor" to use as a moisturizer on top of my entire face before my makeup?
Hi Dr.Dray! I’m an European teenage girl with dry skin. I’m looking for a good every-day sunscreen especially for my face, although my skin is dry all the sunscreen I tried leave my skin sooo sticky . Do you know any European sunscreens that don’t leave the skin oily without drying the skin??
We have that Nivea one is Australia as well! It's easily available and pretty affordable will def give it a shot :))
Great channel been following you for a few weeks now. Have you done a video on color treated hair and beards for shampoo, and moisturizing face combinations for men. If so just lead me to that video. If not could you touch on the topic in a future video. Thanks.
Have you tried anything from Korres? I love their children's sunscreen and would be curious on your thoughts.
Happy new Year!
Hi Dr Dray! Congratulations for your chanell! Your work is amazing ♥️ 🌹🎀
I would like to ask you something about sunscreen.
Thank you in advance
B.W.
Karderina♥️
Happy New Year DR Dray
PLEASE , can you do a video about your favourite product from LARCHE POSEY an AVENE ALL FOR AGING AND VERY DRY SKIN THANK YOU
Elihams f f I have shared many lrp favorites but I don’t use or recommend that much from avene as it is more expensive and a lot of the products have fragrance
Dr. Dray-new subscriber here. Just curious how to fit in sunscreen 3x daily if one wears makeup?? I have rosacea so like to wear some kind of base makeup. Also, I tend to get very flushed after eating. Is that a thing associated with rosacea?? I do have type 1 diabetes so didn’t know if it was a blood sugar thing or what?? Sorry for all of the questions......thanks!!! 💜 to you & your mom.
Have you heard about the korean sunscreen Sunprise spf50+? Do you think is soft por people with rosacea and sensitive skin? 😓 Or what is your favorite sunscreen that you recommend for people with this kind of issues?
Could you do a video on mixing sunscreen what you should and shouldnt do?
Hey Dr. Dray, could you give any recommendations for UPF umbrella’s?
I know this isn't related but can you let me know or do a video on what to do about ear blackheads in people with wet ear wax. I'm not sure what all is safe to use in that area. I get them in the concha.
Thank you Dr Dray! What do think about the Estee Lauder Night Repair Serum?
Hi Dr. Dray, can you please make a video covering fucidic acid/cream. Thanks
We are very outdoorsy people and I'm needing to know is there a big spray that's actually safe for kids skin I usually use Vicks on all of our almost 5 yr olds pressure points but have to constantly keep reapplying
I really wish the DRMTGY brand would sell the tinted version again. I don't see it on amazon anymore. I know they sell a lightly tinted one but its more money than the Elta MD one now on amazon. Oh well.
I bought 4 clarins sunscreens during the Sephora 20% off sale... I go through it fast and I just love that product!
Hi Dr Dray, would you consider making a video on the Goop products by Gwyneth Paltrow?
I would love a video on sport physical and chemical sunscreens that are sweat and water resistant.
What are your thoughts about chemical sunscreens having to be put directly on top of bare skin without moisturizers or serums underneath? I’ve seen a couple videos of people including a dermatologist talking about this. Is that really a thing? It’s scary to think that my sunscreens might not be protecting me the way I think they are just because I put other skin care products underneath them.
Awesome video, can you review suncover spf 30? it's a non-profit sunscreen with 4 modern filters with no fragrance/eo's. 250ml for 15 euros
My favorite video of the year. Always. Happy new year to you and mom and Tybee ❤️
Reed Berger-Fleishman Happy New Years to you too 💙
@@DrDrayzday thank you
Hi Dr. Dray! Have you reviewed Sun Bum SPF 50 face fragrance free? Forgive me if you have. I did a search and didn’t find it. Thank you as always. You are awesome!
They’re discontinuing the pep start? No! I’m going to have to stock up on it too. That’s such a bummer. But, thanks for letting us know!
It’s so difficult to reapply sunscreen 3 times a day. I put make up in the morning and I should take it off and on than 3 a day. Is it helping to put mineral sunscreen in the morning and bb cream with spf and be safe from 10-3?😊
Perhaps a powder sunscreen to touch up throughout the day could work for you
Sabrina Spencer I saw in another comment she said that powder sunscreen is not enough. Hmmm I have this problem too uggg so I just stopped wearing foundation.
Super goop makes a setting spray to go over makeup with sunscreen in it. Expensive but the skin is worth it!
