Great video, emphasising the single-mindedness of approach to fundamentals that is so essential for good and consistent trumpet playing. Love the duet at the end - it takes me back to when I did those very ones as a teenager. I swear that I became a very strong trumpet player very early on by my teacher relentlessly setting these duets on us both. In hindsight, I also know that he loved having a pupil that could take on such challenges and so he himself also enjoyed a thorough workout in our lessons. I am a great sight reader because of this approach and my concept of stamina, ensemble, dynamics, style and ultimately endurance came directly from ploughing through such challenging and difficult duets with a wonderfully keen and enthusiastic teacher. The notes shown below are incorrect for the first Clarke study. They're playing a chromatic scale, but it shows a Dorian scale.

at 4:04 they are not showing the Clarke first study. they are playing the first study but the music at the bottom of the screen is definitely not the first study.
