I randomly stumbled upon this and stayed for the entire conversation. Beyond all the valuable information, my biggest takeaway was that Seth not only openly shares his experiences, data collection, actionable insights, and solutions-or perhaps perspectives that help others approach things differently-but also delivers them in an extremely calm, composed, and fully present manner. To me, it seems that years of self-reflection have led him to a place where he can genuinely sit with someone and honor them in the moment. Not once did he appear distracted, look around, or fidget. He was completely, comfortably, and totally engaged. I don’t know you, Seth, but you just elevated my baseline of how I want to show up in the presence of others. Thank you!
Seth, the way you answered this guy's self-serving questions about sending his son to a famous college (because it's famous) made me appreciate your depth and maturity. Your book is heading my way.
Great interview! Bryan, I just discovered your show as I too had the pleasure of interviewing Seth to discuss his new book. Love everything you're doing, keep up the excellent work.
@@BehindtheBrand One side-alley we went down during the conversation was placebos. It's not necessarily in his new book, but it's a topic that fascinates me and I knew Seth had some strong ideas on the subject as he's written about it so many times on the blog -- he did not disappoint!
'The wheels are turning' - my thoughts exactly Bryan! Fantastic interview once again mate. 'This is Strategy' was delivered to me today... this video was a great introduction to get me going :)
I used to get frustrated when people quoted Drucker as saying "Culture eats strategy for breakfast," but today I view it as the equivalent of people insisting San Francisco is some nightmarish hellscape. A person who says that about SF is saying much more about themselves than about reality, and people who use that Drucker quote prove they don't understand him. He didn't say it and he would never say it. I have long known Drucker is the goat, and for an equal length of time I have been a fan of Godin. Delightfully and unsurprisingly, Godin got it right when he said culture is a part of strategy (see 1:37). Bravo, once again, Seth

Hey Bryan, I have read the book this is marketing and I have also read the book all marketers tell stories. Both book talks about telling stories, creating a culture, hopes and dreams. But in these books I didn't get a complete "how to" guide to do all the above I mentioned. Is this book about that "how to"? Because I have still not understood how to tell stories. I am interested in this kind of marketing seth talks about. All I am learning on the internet is about direct marketing and sales letters. Which is something that I don't like. I believe that these kind of marketing are spams. So can you please tell me is this new book this is strategy about how to tell a story? And if you can make a podcast with seth about how to tell a story it would be very helpful.
There are lessons about storytelling baked in here as well as several of my other vids with Seth. But if you're looking for a books on storytelling I'd recommend: Save The Cat by Blake Snyder; Creativity, Inc. by Ed Catmull or The Hero's Journey by Joseph Campbell
A good chess master can’t tell you who is going to win the game after 10 moves unless there is a massive mismatch in skill. If you amateurs are playing or two IMs or GMs are playing rarely is it clear after move 10 who will win. The game is barely out of the opening at that point.
Mr Bryan. Thanks for thé itw i will buy thé Book. Please Can i Ask for a favor ? I would like to send a special thank you to Seth Godin and i want to be sure hé will read. Can i mail you so you forward it to him ? If yes AT what mail? I started my company in France following thé advice of Seth Godin i was still a student. I started by Reading purple cow... My company IS in its 11th year. So i would liké to thank Seth with a personal message. I am from cameroon living in France. Hope you will grant me the favor. Cuz Seth IS behind my brand 😊
