      I bought clear/transparent sticker paper and placed it over the post arms where the weights go. And my irons weight slide onto the post arms, no longer destroying the powder coat. It looks a little off, but it protects it!

    Just a thought. You can make DIY spacers easy if you don’t care about the color by buying the cheapest length of 2” pvc pipe at your local hardware store and a few minutes with a hacksaw and sandpaper and you’re done. Well under a couple bucks and takes maybe an hour including an average trip to the hardware store. If you do want color you can always paint them or wrap with colored electrical tape too.

Seriously, though - when you gonna put some 'outriggers' on your 6-post Monster rack and create some APEX-like plate storage? That's my plan for my Rogue RML-490c - first turn it into a RML-690c then add 'outriggers' employing 2 addt'l 90" uprights and 4, 24" crossmembers - I'll put the plate storage posts on those 2 'outer' uprights (unlike the Sorinex Apex rack design that dedicates a crossmember FOR EACH plate post!) It doesn't get more convenient than having the plates right there on each side of the power rack. Am I right? Eh? Eh? @2:45 - Unrelated to the topic but more of a curiosity (because I’ve decided to start back from square one for my front squat [no rack to do back squat] and sumo deadlift to fix my form so my torso angle remains the same from start to end) ... have you always squatted using the same form where the hip drives up while your torso starts to leans over ... because it sort of looks like a mini-semi-good morning squat?

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Low bar squats will have a less vertical torso angle due to the placement of the bar and mechanics needed to keep the weight over the mid-foot.

    • @strawberryyogurt0
      @strawberryyogurt0 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BasementBrandon ... I do realize that low bar squats have a less vertical angle, and maybe it’s just me, but I think having the hips and shoulders rise at the same time "might" be "better" even for low bar squats. @2:45 point, it looks like your hips shoots up first, causing your torso to dip downwards. Anyways, you’ve got more in the bar than I’ll ever lift in the squat, so you’re doing something right.
