      Nader would have been an excellent president. Unfortunately, the two party system is so dominant that it seems impossible that a third party candidate will ever be successful in getting elected.

    Do not forget you must vote everyone in office out. They will with time get the idea as to who runs things. It not the DEMs or GOPS or the RICH. It is you the men and women with the vote. Everything you want is up to you and yes it will take some hard work on you and everyone else that want these things.

      We need the right people to vote in to do that. The two-party system makes that difficult. And our media shuts other candidates out. Ralph Nader did not appear in the 2008 presidential debate even though a poll indicated that 65% of Americans wanted to hear what he had to say.

    Nader is a fine and dedicated public, "professional" citizen. His grasp of how social change really works is spot on. He should be a national treasure, especially of the so-called, self-styled "left." Of course he isn't. Of course.

    i googled how much in 2016 did America spend on healthcare. 3.2 Trillion dollars. Bernie Sanders Medicare for all is estimated at 1.5 Trillion dollars. So we will pay 1/2 and everyone will have covrage. For Greed alone we should go to Medicare for all !!!

    This is vintage Nader. One little point. Belgium and those other smart countries don't have a huge military budget. Is it that simple? How does Russia compare to USA on military spending? Japan has a very small military budget. What about China? If we took just 10 percent of our war budget and gave it back as amenities for the poor would that be good?

    The fear is that a free market cannot work when government gets involved. It causes prices to sky rocket. Granted the free market cannot work when the health insurance gets write legislation either. The fear is not just fear but the realization that this country CANNOT afford health care. Maybe you should research more about free markets and what happens when a country goes broke. Then you might understand that there is something far worse than expensive health care.

  • @ProjektLament
    @ProjektLament 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    You won't find any argument from me on that. That we are in agreement of. But that is not the subject at hand. Health care is. Instead of focusing on health care you should read about the evils of central banking. if you get that in control the wars will stop, our currency will become stable, and our economy will improve. That will help people be able to afford health care. In the end no one should be forced to pay for someone elses health care. Its morally degenerate.

    I can only support a Single Payer System if it includes holistic and complementary medicine. If the AMA and Pharma were to dominate a Single Payer Monopoly System it would surely discriminate against holistic doctors.

    • @Romeloblade
      @Romeloblade 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Joao Alvarez yea, except holistic medicine is complete bullshit with no evidence of efficacy. That's like saying I'll only support single payer if it covers prayer circles for children with cancer.

      If it's done like the Canadian system, any treatment approved by the FDA would be covered.
      But many provinces still don't cover non-invasive therapy eg. Physiotherapy is not covered but surgery is, even though doctors recommend at least trying physiotherapy first.

    • @deannadelmar4485
      @deannadelmar4485 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joao Alvarez We need to start somewhere. So you will hold out until a perfect medical health plan is completed...so how many more Americans have to needlessly die before that perfect plan is offered?
      Danger: all the groups holding out for their perfect plan can divide us and we will never even get started. This is how the Republican Party can defeat any health progress. We need to start. We can offer changes to improve our imperfect plan over time. We need to start with programs working in countries who are having better medical outcomes than we have.

    I believe in freedom and individualism. I believe it is morally degenerate to take from your neighbor to better take care of yourself. Health care, food, housing, etc are all commodities not rights. To call them rights is to say you have claim to what someone else earns with his or her own two hands. No sir, theft is morally wrong whether done for duty, profit, or fun. In our country we have a constitution and no where does it say the government will take from Peter to pay Paul

  • @ProjektLament
    @ProjektLament 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    So by your logic if there wasn't a fed there would be no debt. However, the opposite is true. We had plenty of debt before the fed as well as after. And yes the national debt is comprised of a lot of military spending--which I do not agree with-- but if you end the wars you can end the spending. Its much harder to end the welfare state which is why i said it 'MOSTLY' contributes to our debt. Are you sure you can read, Didlo Baggins?

  • @ProjektLament

    Giving single sentence accusations displays that you have thought about this subject far less than I have. Most likely you feel about the subject and not think. My ideas are an attempt to protect many of my foolish countrymen from themselves and their inability to see the consequences of their morally degenerate demands. No nation on Earth has yet to afford health care for their citizens, even with 90% tax rates.

    The wall can keep the bad immoral Americans away from Mexico and South America as well as keeping unsuspecting people migrating to the USA who expecting something good here from being sorely disappointed at the true lack of sanity they will find here. We have not learned anything from the past at all? America Under Siege Civil War 2017 th-cam.com/video/5NclpisAW7Y/w-d-xo.html Do you support NATO killing innocent people while saying they are protecting the people from Gaddiffi? We are not good at interfering in other countries, we are not very good at governing ourselves., We do not even try to learn what roles we should have from other countries that have been around for tens of thousands of years. It's time for men to stand up and be Godly, lead their families and communities. These days we think we have all the answers but, we do not know if we are a male or a female here? Let's not kill anyone and push them into our sad culture these days are you part of the chaos or part of the solution? Feel bad if you are part of the plan to divide the citizens of the USA. End racist policy's now.We hate that's true it is the rotten communist we hate the most.. 'All we are sayin' is give peace a chance'

    Again you prove your ignorance of history. According to predominate theory the so called "native Americans" came from Asia. Now if they came from Asia they aren't exactly native now are they. And if you knew anything about argumentation you would know that just because someone owns a slave doesn't mean the product of their intellect is flawed. I doubt u ever read the constitution but its principles and limits that r laid down. THey are timeless as rights are timeless.

    It is good you speak up for the people, but i don't believe in single payer because there are a lot of irresponsible people that dont take care of their health and i dont want to pay for that. I would rather have them educate themselves that most diseases have remedies that arevery cheap. they sy even cancer is there because peoples acid levels are out of wack.What they should have irs a rules based healthcare system in which people can only join if they do not smoke, drink, do drugs, are not overweight, excercise according to their ability, and follow some moral code which might include attending church. And if they are out at restaurants everynight having steaks and greasy onion rings, maybe they would not be good for a rules based healthcare system. If you can follow all these rules then you qualify for a certain healthcare plan. Everyone else can join the single payer plan, but it will be really expensive because lots of donuts and deep friedfoods bear and wine, cigarettes, marijuanaandother drugs and antidepressants, can make ya really sick as well as a lot of big pharma drugs and vaccines that people that dont care about anything, welcome into their lives, as well as laying on the sofa watching sports or video games and eating pizza.

    WHose history are you reading, an arabs? Oh you think wikipedia is an academic source? hahaha you poor poor fool. Theres a little thing called the Torah. Its the foundation of a 4000 year old religion, the basis of a 2000 year old religion, and a 1500 year old religion. That book clearly lays out that long before Zionist and the existence of Englishmen there was a Jewish kingdom. Never has there not been a Jewish presence in Israel. It was taken from them by force they took it back.

    Nader is an amazing man and a great man. The thing that I disagree with him about is that legislation seems to be the default solution for him when many of the outcomes he seeks could be realized without the force of law.
