This is one of the greatest speeches I have ever heard. He was fighting for truth all of his life. That weather part was great.

"Nearly 19 years later, this topic is not only still relevant, it's now worse," I think as I read the title; and within a minute I discover it's about power. Oh shit. No words except QED. (Deregulated greed is why Calif. is burming)

I understand Ralph Nader when he talks. A lot of people I can't understand. It is partly that I'm not sophisticated about politics, but I've noticed there are people that are so clear. They should be on all the shows. NC, GG, RF, BS, lots of people.

Don't we all? I wish there was a Ralph Nader as a top candidate all over the world... but I guess guys like that never make it that far because of a very sick combination of factors.

This is because power recruits genius and very few geniuses cannot be bought: genius and propaganda.

Wow what a speech, I wish we had someone like this in my country too (Canada)
Nader is the best at flat out eviscerating all the political/corporate bullshit that happens every day all over the world. I've always said that sports aren't news, and I'll never view all weather crap they do the same way again.

This is informative, funny (and not so funny)and insightful as usual. Doing something about our own lives is the point.Owning the power to do so is our right and response-ability in this ever so tenuous democracy.Let's take our ability to respond and use it to let our leaders do our bidding not the corporations.

13:45 He makes a great point. To further his point I would say "the few" has many collaborators within the many; people who do not believe a change is possible therefore become collaborators for financial and status compensations; therefore they became extentions of "the few" in their war against the interests of the many. Altought they still have revolutionary potential in them unlike "the few", we just need to organize and make them believe again. It is a uphill battle as "the few" have more power and tools than ever; to manipulate, to muddy the waters, to divide and conquer.

Surprising that UC even allowed Nader to speak 19 years ago. Today they'd shove him aside as an anti-Democrat.

Indeed, and unfortunately that's where this capitalistic economic and social system has led us, so it will be a while until we can live in a better world. What's amazing is that the opportunities are there, but the masses almost always take the bait presented to them. Obama or McCain, Bush or Gore, as if they had no other choice! And the same thing happens everywhere...
