Early Morning Walk Through a Charming Cotswold Village

- So, today we are out and about walking in the charming Cotswold village of Laverton which is a civil parish of Buckland and within the Borough of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. Laverton is in very close proximity to another village we have already covered in a recent video which is Buckland. The oldest house in the village dates back to the 17th century. The majority of farmhouses and cottages in the village are built with the traditional Cotswold stone. The village had a approximate population of 224 in 2010. Running through the village is the long-distance path the Winchcombe Way which you may notice the sign for within the video.
The village used to be served by rail which was Laverton Halt which was part of the Honeybourne Line and was active for 50 years between 1905 and 1960. This was run by the Great Western Railway often referred to as the GWR which is a heritage railway. It was brought back into service around 2011 as a run-round loop then stopped operating in 2018 when the railway was extended to Broadway.
There are no hidden OAAW logos within this video.

Good morning to you Jeff. You could not of timed your comment better! Just yesterday I was thinking to myself that recently I have been receiving comments on how much viewers are enjoying the sound of my footsteps & nature, this then gave me an idea - why not create create one hour episodes of just audio recorded in the Cotswolds (from previous videos) with a black screen, so then one could have the audio playing in the background whilst doing other things, ie: sleeping, working or like yourself reading. I am currently working on the first episode right now, the series will be called 'The sound of the Cotswolds'. If it gains interest then I will create one every couple of months or so :).
