I had so much fun free motion quilting this plain black fabric. I used King Tut variegated thread. Constant mode 46. Warm n white batting.

Ok..... just had to add another comment. I learned two things watching this. First, I've never seen the paisley feathers done like this. I absolutely love them... and second, you just showed me it's ok to load a small piece on the frame. I always felt I had to have a full size practice quilt. Not sure how or why I get these "rules" in my head but you've helped disprove another one. Thank you so much.

Somehow I had gotten the idea that backtracking with variegated thread would not look that good, so I was afraid to try it. IDK where I picked that up from, but you just put that theory to rest! (Newbie here.)
