Norman Osborn and Oscrop have been at the root of almost everything that’s happened since the first game. It only makes sense Norman’s Green Goblin is the final villain and the one who causes Peter the most pain. I can’t wait to see that showdown.
Spoilers: Harry's going to be the green goblin. Having Norman simultaneously being a civilian and yet the root cause of so many of the villains is an interesting subversity done well.
@@angelm365 personally I hope that isn’t true. Harry was already the main villain of this game. It would be a bit much for him to be both Venom and the Goblin. And Norman’s Goblin is Peter’s definitive arch rival. He’s Peter’s Joker. I think it would be a huge waste not to have this Norman become the Goblin. Especially when the actor is so good and he’s already played a huge role in the story so far.
@theWn123 Personally I hope it is true; and insomniac foreshadowed it already: when mj, miles, and Peter were planning their stragedy, Peter uses an actual green goblin(for illustration purposes of course 🤣) to signify harry/venom. Thematically, it's more tragically fitting if Norman uses the g serum on Harry instead of himself in an attempt to bring him back because he refuses to let him go, only for a twisted version of Harry to come back aka the green goblin. This twisted version of Harry knows Peter more intimately than any other villain thus far and would bring chaos into Peter's life like no one else could. I can already imagine Peter's guilt of killing his best friend coming back to haunt him as he tries to retire. Norman could never accomplish this and serves the plot better as an evil Tony stark gathering the evil avengers. Harry has already been both venom and green goblin in other iterations; the same can happen here as well. Doc Oct was a main villain as well but will also come back for the final chapter, harry can as well; this game won't be coming out for years. Spider-man doesn't have an arch nemesis the same way batman has the joker. Norman's voice actor has been perfect, but whether he can produce what it would take to pull off the green goblin is anyone's guese. Honestly, I found this iteration of Harry to be so wholesome, I just want him to have a happy ending by the end of this trilogy.
@@angelm365 maybe that will happen but the way I saw it they were foreshadowing Norman was gonna become the goblin. He was wearing green in almost every scene he was in. In the scene where he mentions the g serum, he’s wearing a green jacket and purple pants. My prediction is Norman will test the serum on himself before he gives it to Harry. He’ll offer himself up as a test subject for the serum and it’ll drive him mad and turn him into the Goblin. They established he blames the Spider Men for Harry so that will be the source of the Goblin’s conflict with them. Either way I trust insomniac with whatever they chose to do though.
I actually hope for Carnage DLC, because the quest line of the flame ended so abruptly, and I don't want to wait another 5 years for him to show up. I am thinking though that Carnage could become a villain for Venom spin-off
Yeah I'm pretty sure they were keeping him for a dlc along with Wraith kinda like the Black Cat missions in the first game, I think that's why the questline ended abruptly and were more elaborate than the other side missions
That's why I pull my hair out when people talk about what they want in SM3. WTF are we talking about a game we wont get for 3-5 years, when we should be wanting DLC to add to the very short game we just paid for. I think we should be talking about how these should be large DLC expansions.

Honestly carnage has to be the dlc villain now that I think about it I also hope this sets up Eddie brocks venom for the third game or his own spin-off game and like I said it makes more since for a dlc because the game is probably gonna try to end the Symbiote storylines

I think Chameleon will infiltrate the Morales household disguised as Cindy's dad.9nce you complete a certain set of side missions, you get led to an apartment and discover Kraven has a brother AKA Chameleon. As the cut scene plays out we see him watching his place from a distance, vows to do what kraven couldnt, and kill spiderman. They show him disguised as an Asian man using his "camouflage" tech. Who's to say he wont take the form of Cindy's dad?

I think Chameleon would be a good choice for a villain, he killed Peter's parents in the comics, could want to take it a step forward and target everything with meaning to Peter like MJ and his legacy with Miles.
My personal theories. 1. I expect a expansion game to introduce Silk 2. I think we’ll see a time skip and Miles will be in college and Peter and MJ will be engaged/married.3 I expect Miles and Cindy to be the main focal point of the first half of the game with Peter only having scenes with MJ and Osborn to build tension for the finale 4.First half of SM3 ends with Miles and Cindy defeating Carnage but after that battle Otto escapes from the raft. 5.After all that happens Harry gets worse and desperate Norman takes the Gserum to see if it works. 6.Otto will take a villans body (not a Spider-Man’s) 7.Doubt MJ dies but someone does (Rio/Haile)and final fights are against Doc Ock and Goblin
I think they could go with the Superior Spider-Man route and have Otto take over Peter's body and try to fight Carnage and Goblin, but he wouldn't be good enough and decide to give Peter's body back by the end.
I'm thinking something along these lines as well, but Peter is the one that dies, leaving the Spider Team still being a family. MJ, Miles and Cindy. And then at the end we find out MJs kid has spider powers.
I think they'll do a mixture of him turning into an actual goblin, but also using a glider, and his pumpkin bombs, and his blades. A good even blend of a real goblin and using tech would look nice and be a hard and fun boss to fight

I really dont understand how some people look at the ending and say Peter is done being Spiderman and wont be playable in the 3rd game. It sounds absolutely absurd considering the fact that norman and Otto the two villains that literally have a hate boner for peter why wouldn't they end the trilogy and have peter sidelined it makes no sense just from a narrative perspective imo.

I think this ending with Peter retiring is a good way to explain why Peter isn't going to be to involved in another miles game. I think a second Miles game will be with silk and have miles take the role of teacher. I think the end of miles could have some bigger villain like goblin or carnage could appear at the end maybe just a cutscene and have miles calling Peter for help since he is in over his head. This could also have Peter as more of a leader in the third game, showing why he is important as a spiderman
I think Carnage will be DLC because Spider-Man 2 is the symbiote story. The final mission for the flame cult also takes place right next to where there is a blocked out city on the map that could be unlocked in DLC. SM3 will take place outside of NYC and include multiverse aspects
Also Harry is definitely going to be the goblin or hob goblin, there's a few hints at it. When Pete, Miles and MJ are planning the final attack on venom and they use the goblin piece to represent Harry

Yuri as Wraith is an Ally (again). Black Cat is in Europe with her Girlfriend, Peter and MJ cemented their relationship while Pete is seemingly retiring as Spider-Man trusting in Miles to protect the city. While Silk is being set up to become Miles's Step-Sister. Carnage and Green Goblin being set up as the next big baddies.
I do hope they keep the idea of Peter and Cidny being bitten by the same spider but without the relationship side of it. They could use that to bring peter back or just add a sense of security for peter as well. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the Miles version you implied though. I think we may get a Miles focused DLC that helps establish Silk and build her character. The main villain might be camelion and he is hunting for Peter but tries to get information from Miles.
I just feel like in this rendition the age gap is so large that there is no possible way she could have been bit by the exact same spider, but it's possible!

I think when Silk is introduced, either Peter will be able to retire from being Spider-Man, or will be able live a more normal life by splitting the workload between 3 Spider-people.

I think at the end of the mission when Yuri goes off to trail Carnage and says "this could take months, maybe even years" it is breaking the fourth wall and hinting that he will come in a while, real time and in-game wise. So my point is if there is a DLC, I do not think it will be Carnage. He has to be coming in either 3, 4, or a spin-off game down the line.
I think he will play in the back of a second miles game with chameleon as main guy and adding silk. Then 3rd gam(5th), Peter is back and carnage and green goblem
She also said how Cletus Kasady was a someone involved with The Flame, not The Flame himself, so Cletus might take it from The Flame, or they might have the Flame just be Carnage
I think the third game might well be Peter’s last ride where Peter tries to stay semi-retired but Green Goblin brings him back. Maybe Norman finds out his identity and goes after MJ to draw him out. Peter isn’t done. Goblin is a villain that’s so closely connected to him that you couldn’t bench him. Norman literally says he thinks of him as a son. Finding out Peter is Spider-Man, who Norman blames for Harry losing his ‘cure’, would probably drive him even more mad. I hope they don’t kill Pete off though. A genuinely happy ending for him where he gets to swing off into the sunset and retire with MJ and raise a family knowing that Miles (and possibly Cindy) are around to take up the mantle would be best. Let Peter be happy for once, insomniac. Marvel won’t do it but you can
Imagine if spiderman faces carnage and green goblin in spiderman 3, he beats carnage then they merge with norman and he becomes the red goblin. This would certainly make him peters most dangerous and powerful enemy yet.
I think we will get a Cindy Moon spin off game where we play entirely as Silk, similar to how we got a Miles Morales spin off game. Then Spider-Man 3 will let us play as all 3 spider people. I just wonder how they will differentiate her from Peter since (from my understanding) her powers are very similar to his.
She could lean into the organic webbing part of her powerset and focus on doing crazy things that webshooters simply couldn't allow because of limited fluid.
I’m curious to see what they’ll do with Silk in terms of customisation. Because Silk doesn’t really have any alternative costumes that she could wear. Is her selection of suits just going to be exclusively original suits?
I thought this at first too because of her lack of in comic costume changes. But actually she ( like Miles) has a decent amount of variant covers they can use for reference on customisation. Still Insomniac will have to make quite a few originals no doubt. Notable ones for me are: Silk #3 (Jen Bartel) , Silk#2 (Ihyuk Lee), Marvel Voices Identity#1 Wooh Variant, Silk#3 (Kael Ngu), Silk #5 ( Judy Jong), Silk#3 (Nayoung Wooh) , and Silk#2 (Rose Beach)

I really hope Cindy doesn’t get her powers until after Spider-Man 3, as the game would be way too chaotic to balance all three heroes and give them all a satisfying story. However, I was surprised how good Miles’ story was despite taking the backseat in this game so I have trust in insomniac. With Peter’s hiatus there could be a Miles Morales 2 game which would be cool. And I really hope that Peter or MJ don’t die, I hope we can have the one version of Spider-Man where there a is a happy ending and he can actually find a balance. But that’s a bit too optimistic.
I would want to see a prequel spin-off of Peter Parker when he first became Spider-Man 10 years prior to this game. I loved the flashbacks with teenage Peter and Harry and would love to expand on that. An origin for this version of Peter would probably be a little different to what we’d be used to seeing too. If this would be a smaller scale game, then i wouldn’t mind it taking place in Queens. Also limiting Spider-Man from having advanced gadgets and tools, but using homemade stuff instead could be interesting too. Now the main villain could be a bit difficult to figure out, but i’d like to see many of the classic villains like Electro, Vulture, Rino and even Sandman. I really want to see Peter’s growth as Spider-Man both mentally and physically. I want that journey that shows both pros and cons with being a masked vigilante then finally at the end of the game, Peter says “With great power, there must also come great responsibility”
Oh my god YES!!!!!! I would LOVE that!!!! One of my favorite parts of the second game was all the flashbacks! I know Peter talks about fighting the other villains when you collect the backpacks, but I want to actually do it and see his growth as Spider-Man! Then we can see what lead up to him finally taking down Willy after 8 years, and Yuri Watanabe trusting him enough to let him help out!
My theory so far with Spider-Man 3 will go absolutely insane in terms of villains, Going as far as to see Norman as green goblin, a variant of the clone saga that allows for Superior Spider-Man and Harry to be healed. Carnage can be the intro that highlights the new features involving both spidermen and silk all being playable. Then silk can be fully fleshed out in a side game before hand with Miles being the new age mentor.
For Harry, I think they'll go the route they took with Peter where he had Venom for so long that its ingrained in his body and he'll get revived and Venom will get to come back, but without the meteor connecting him to Knull, he can be his own being and start being the lethal protector in his spinoff game.
Norman knows Miles is a Spider-Man, so I don’t know what that really means for the end of the game. In my game I postponed the final mission and Norman Osborn called Miles and made him promise not to hurt Harry, and ended the call by calling him Spider-Man.
Carnage definitely should be DLC. He's too popular to either be a side story villain or a villain for a single Act or Chapter of a main game. He deserves to be the focus. BUT I want that DLC to end with the symbiote being contained where we can save it for the next game, opening the possibility for Red Goblin or even Monster Ock. I know Insomniac loves to pay homage to past Spider-man media
Your theories are pretty interesting. I can see Carnage definitely be more of a DLC thing like how Hammerhead was in the previous game. Also as well as your theory with the whole Green Goblin situation seems pretty possible, I can't help but feel like they're gonna do a Superior Spider-Man like arc with Peter, considering that Doc Ock is also going to be a main villain next to Green Goblin, and he's gonna need Peter's body in order to be healthy again because if you remember in the first game after the final boss battle, he begs Peter to not turn him in and said they if they put him away that they'll take his tentacles and he'll be trapped in this useless body.
I disagree in terms of it being Mary Jane. I actually think they may be setting up Peter’s death. It’s looking like for the third game Peter will come out of retirement and be Spider-man one last time, since at the end of this game he finally finds happiness. We know that the third game will be “the final chapter” and in the Ultimate comics, Peter dies fighting Goblin.
Totally think that's highly possible. The sinister six did kill Peter in the Ultimate comics, with Goblin doing the final blow. Seems like what they might be setting up here.

i don't think they will KIll peter off i reckon he's simply leave the superhero life and he and MJ will go on to get married and have Mayday Parker, of which she will then one day be trained to become Spider-girl by a much Older More experienced Miles, i'd very much prefer a story where Peter's legacy comes full circle instead of them just outright aborting it by ripping of the ultimate spider-man storyline of which was just an excuse to shoehorn in miles of which has already been done in the games already.
i personally think that Spiderman 3 should be entirely PETER's story with no other playable characters and have it be about ending Peter's story and sending the first ever web head out with a bang. thing is we have never EVER had a definitive ending to Spiderman's story in the entire history of the character insomniac has the opportunity to give us what many will see as the CANON ending to Spiderman's story just like how so many see the Knightfall in arkham knight as Batman's true ending where he gives up bruce wayne to become BATMAN completely. i think they should have Spiderman 3 be about Peter facing the biggest threat he's ever faced and he has to face it ALONE, and in the end he either Dies a hero or he Retires from being Spiderman completely and he and MJ leave New york and later down the line like say 10-15 years later a certain Mayday parker arrives to new york and is trained by Miles bringing the story full circle.
I would like to see a boss fight with Norman/Green Goblin similar to the last fight in Spectacular Spiderman (spoilers) where Green Goblin is on a glider, has a small army, and set up pumpkin bomb cannons all over a city block, that would be so cool
Concerning the saturation of spider-people in this universe, I'm always open for more characters to join the crew, however I did decide a few years back that I would be completely content with a Spider-man trinity of sorts. Although, I was expecting the third member to appear in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, have a similar role to Miles in the first game, and for them to be Gwen Stacy (at least I was 1/3 right). So I'm excitedly curious to see how Silk will be fleshed out in future installments, and I hope Gwen gets some kind of cameo (not necessarily becoming Spider-Gwen, but an acknowledgement of her existence).
@adamtruong1759 they did made an tongue and cheek references to Gwen during the Corney Island Misson in the rollercoaster part there with one the rider is an blonde girl with an similar hair style that nearly fell to her death
Carnage has to be a main game villian! Either way it goes. I think 3 will focus mainly on Norman's revenge and Otto's plan. Making Peter come back to help Miles take on the threats and having Silk take a back seat for possibly her own spin off game to bridge between 3-4. I agree MJ is going to die. I also think we could see a form of Superior Spider-Man with Otto being involved. So many branches and roads to explore. I think 4 would be better for Carnage. So we have a whole plot dedicated to him. Possibly setting up a maximum carnage scenario and a darker plotline. Carnage has to have an M rating on it.. It's in the nature of the character itself. I have faith in Insomniac and I know they will do the fans justice! Let's see how it plays out with time! Excitement is high! :)

i believe its not a bad decision that they added silk into this universe because (spoiler alert) peter at the end looks like hes going to focus on his relationship and family with mj also with the EMF. With this we can assume that he is may be retiring as peter tells miles to call him whenever he needs him. Either way this is a spider man game and its cool to see new additions of spider people into the game. this brings more attention to them.

Carnage will definitely be a DLC to stay in the symbiote theme of the game. The first was an intellectual villain who go used that to create a technological strength enhancement by way of the arms, Venom is brute force through and through. Then you will have the third in The Goblin with him having brain and brute strength. The reason the symbiotes are still around is because the swirl on the meteor and their faces is the symbol of Knull (God of Symbiotes) it wasn’t specifically Venom creating them he is essentially a general.
I hope that Harry being addicted to the serum is temporary. One way to make that happen is through Anti-Venom. Pete gives the suit to Harry to cure his addiction, but instead Harry becomes Anti-Venom. Temporarily. Eventually the Anti-Venom heals and bonds to Harry completely to cure the addiction. However, because of the lack of a hive mind, Harry would still be in control despite being fully fused with Anti-Venom, and he becomes Agent Anti-Venom. Would love to see, fight alongside and potentially play as Agent Anti-Venom or Anti-Venom in general. Really hope this ends up being the case. Edit: MJ, Peter, Rio, Hailey are all candidates for a potential death. But your theory is still my favorite.
I dont see Peter losing the symbiote, especially with the Tony Stark style theme of taking a piece of all his main villains into his powerset that Insomniac is going for so far. But I do see Harry becoming Agent Venom or Agent Anti-Venom proper as his way of coming back.
When they destroyed the stone it ended the hive mind of the symbiotes, individual symbiotes can exist and bond to individual hosts but they are no longer a hive mind…that is how I understood it. That way Carnage and Venom can still exist without retreading the story
One thing I think you missed was the “Chameleon” will most likely play a big role in the next game as well. He was hunted by Kraven during the spiderman 2 game and stayed hidden. Also I think Doc Oct makes a comeback especially when he says he’s writing the final chapter, I think that’s a sign that he might have found a way to get out of prison. It’s going to be amazing. Green Goblin, Carnage, Chameleon, and possibly Doc Oct all coming after the spidermen would be crazy.
Anyone remember that 2017 Spider-Man show? Yeah, it wasn’t good, but that Goblin Nation was a pretty cool idea imo, and I think they could do a great job with it in Spider-Man 3
I see peter taking more of a back seat in the next game because he is now more focused on Peter Parker side of himself. I doubt he would be out permanently but becoming more of a support/advisor character only really being called in as backup especially with his new anti-venom powers. I would rather have peter have a happy ending, he’s been through enough both in game and literally every other media. He has well and truly earned his happiness. While miles become a mentor/big brother to silk splitting the work load between each others. It fits with the idea the anyone can take up the mantle of spider-man. This is how I would see it working: Spider-man (Peter Parker): Tech/Training Support and power house of the group. Spider-man (Miles Morales): Stealth master and mentor dealer of the group. Silk (Cindy Moon): (possibly unique powers?) the bridge between the two, the overall character of the group.
Yeah, Peter definitely soft retired to focus more on balancing his life (a big thing in this franchise has been balance after all) hell, he says to call him if hes needed and some missions have a post game variant that implies peters still around as spider-man after the ending.
I think Peter won't die, but rather retire at the end of the game after his battle with the Green Goblin (he might give up his powers) leaving Miles, Cindy, Yuri, Harry (Agent Anti-Venom), and possibly Gwen as the protectors of NYC. Carnage will be in the DLC and possibly a Venom game set before Spider-man 3, but there are plenty of other characters they could introduce in 3.

also, relating to the carnage side quests, it's wraiths main goal to track him down, and as she made clear she is dead set on bringing him down. i wouldn't at all be surprised to see that come in the form of a dlc where peter and yuri team up and track down cletus. possibly he doesn't reach final carnage form, as peter wore the symbiote for a long time and it kind of progressed slowly in taking him over. and then maybe the dlc ends off with them thinking they defeated him, only for him to come back in the next game as a main villain in his final carnage form.
Ironically there are multiple Wolverine clones/children in the comics so who knows. But I like the idea of Peter training the next generation of spider heroes. Rather than him dying and being replaced. Plus 3 characters is more content and I was shun that. But insomniac has my trust with Spider-Man. They hit it out the park 3 times now.
If Miles is going to be the Spider-Man to focus on after 3, and Insomniac is making more marvel hero based games in a shared universe, I think 3 should end with Peter being offered to join the Avengers. This way Miles can take the Spider-Man solo games, while Peter can be used for Avenger games. Also I feel we should have a side mission facing Carnage as he was set up on Spider-Man 2, but I only say side mission as we want Norman Osborne as the big baddie. Then all three main Spidey games have used all three of Spider-Man’s arch enemies; Doctor Octopus, Venom, and Green Goblin.
One thing i haven't seen yet is the mention of monster ock (Carnage doctor octopus). He appeared in one of the very first ever spiderman games. It'd be awesome to see him make a return and it's not like it doesn't have setup.
if they kill off peter i would be pissed because miles is such a basic boring version in these games no where near as good as the spiderverse version there’s literally no reason to kill peter and no reason for him to retire given that he’s only 25 these games need to be focused on peter.
He's more comic accurate in this version, but that doesn't always mean better. The Spider-Verse really gave him a lot more character. I agree with you, but I still have a feeling they're going to do it!
@@pixel8ted the most confusing thing for me is that i’m wondering if they are gonna do a smaller game for miles and silk and then spider-man 3 and if peter does die are they going to keep making more spider-man games? idk i think spider-man 2 really limited what they could do with a third one because you can tell they really are trying to force peter into obscurity for miles to be the main guy.
I think a miles game will come out first in like 2025 like they did with the first, during the game miles will mentor silk and face own challenges, then in spiderman 3, Peter will die fighting Norman and possibly Harry as well, leaving miles as the main protagonist. Atleast that's kind of what they been hinting during spiderman 2
I love the message that the game's story gives. Balance. Peter's life has basically become unlivable due to him only focusing on Spider-Man for so long and by the end he takes a break and starts rebuilding his normal life again. Like the lesson that May taught him, he's finding balance in his life,after he burnt himself out. I take the ending message as a way of saying,no one can do everything by themselves and if you aren't taking care of yourself,then you won't be any good at helping people you care about.
I feel like maybe they might actually adapt a superior spiderman type story with Otto and Peter for maybe the 1st half of the game and then more of a focus on the green goblin in the 2nd half of the game. I feel like the goblin in the game might be similar to the goblin seen in Into The Spiderverse or Ultimate Spiderman. Instead of MJ dying I feel like Peter will instead, and Silk and Miles will continue on. What are your thoughts tho?
I think something else to consider is what they chose to tease at the end of the game and compare it to the first game. Last game, they teased harry in the tank at the end. So we can assume the stuff at the end is whats setting up for the next major game. Because of that, i do not think chameleon or carnage will be a part of spiderman 3. in fact they’re both remnants of the symbiote and kraven. would it not make more sense for that to be resolved in the dlc? i also personally believe we’ll get another spin off spider man game. could be miles morales 2, could be silk. carnage or chameleon would probably be in that. the last dlc was kinda small in scale, really the main villain was only hammerhead. but i guess theres a chance they go all out with it. i think its more likely that only norman and otto are gonna be involved in spiderman 3 for now. and possibly another villain we haven’t seen yet. could even be jackal, maybe they do some clone stuff? who knows but spiderman 2 was THE game about venom. putting carnage in spider man 3 makes no sense imo
I actually don't see them killing Mj like this, that would cut many possibilities. If we return to Spiderman 1994 show, I think Mj will be lost between dimensions, leaving Peter thinking she's dead. Here insomniac can introduce Gween Stacy, a new love interest for Peter. That gives chance for Madam Webb to be introduced too, helping Peter finding Mj in future games. Maybe after finding her and Peter being stuck between Gween and Mj, it gives a chance for a romance between Mj and Eddie Brock, always staying in 1994 version. After Eddie introduction, we can have a Venom return and Carnage, Spiderman against two super villains would be a an epic fight.
my hope for Silk is number 1 she’s around 13-14 so we have 3 different Spider-people at 3 different stages of life and 3 different stages of Spider-person experience and have her react the opposite of Miles, make her worry that something is wrong with her and that’s she’s a villian so at the end of the game we can get a badass swinging sequence with all 3 of them with her in her own Silk (Spider) suit
Hoping the next game expands with the bronx, Staten Island and New Jersey. Also want some kind of theme going on with the city so it gives a different vibe, miles already did Christmas so I think Halloween would be great it’s a video game so I think maybe going abit more over the top with decorations everywhere could be fun. Following from that we know green goblin and do ock will be main antagonists (I do think carnage is dlc for 2) but to fit my Halloween theme I’d love for the side villains to be morbius, man wolf, jack o lantern, swarm and sin eater. When it comes to silk I think her character gameplay wise will obviously focus on her organic webbing and I think they could play with some really run concepts like web constructs kind of like what they did with regular spiderman in shattered dimensions When it comes to Pete I don’t want him to still have anti venom I’d prefer if he gave it to Curt Connors to use for medical purposes or something and instead just go all in with Pete being the tech spiderman and have his ability wheel just being a second wheel of gadgets and having a plethora to choose from and I think it would be fun if they were themed of tech from his iconic villains he’s fought over the years With miles he already has orange venom for melee, blue for ranged so I think having a purple type of electricity introduced that focuses on magnetism could be a fun expansion on his set Last thing I’ll say is when it comes to overall game innovation I think they need to take a leaf from web of shadows and go all in on wall combat to add a new level of verticality and I think they really to focus on replay ability in the open world taking some inspiration from arkham when it comes to side content and challenge modes

The DLC will probably be like how they did it for the first game; waves of story based missions that are all one over arching story. Hammerhead was the central villain of those so maybe Carnage will be the focus for the sequel DLC

Okay here’s my theories: 1. Norman is the original green goblin, however harry takes the serum and because of his symbiot bond he becomes the ultimate green goblin 2. Peter dies, not MJ making miles the mentor to silk in a spin off game mirroring the first PS4 spiderman 3. Silk gains spider powers at the end of the game setting up a spin off game.
Adding Cindy is not a good idea. Not because it’s the character or how she’ll be handled. It’s because of Miles. Miles in this game felt like a side character, at times he was a hit in the story but more misses feeling like he was forced into scenarios to stay relevant. So adding another character into the spotlight will not only take away more attention from Pete and Miles but limits her time to shine as well.
Carnage will be the DLC. It's how the devs can add more Symbiote Enemies in the game, along with The Flame being the main Enemies you'll probably fight. Remember The Black Cat Side Mission in SM1 set up the DLC so I assume one of the SM2 side Missions is setting up DLC, my Money is on Carnage. Also you can't have Venom without Carnage.
@comicdagamer190 Why would he be in SM3? Clearly the villain of that game is gonna be The Green Goblin since they've been building him up for 3 games now. Also Carnage really isn't interesting enough to be the main villain, he's just a crazy serial killer. He's a cool character but not complex enough to center an entire game around. Also it would just be repeating this game with the Symbiote stuff, a Green Goblin story doesn't need Carnage.

DLC would be perfect, just enough time with Carnage to show how badass he is. Venom is different because of the relationship Harry has with Peter, and the Symbiotes relationship to Pete as well. Carnage just doesn't have that connection, Norman does however, and so does Doc Ock who will be another big player in SM3. Chameleon could he a DLC side mission, like how Screwball was in all 3 dlcs for SM1 as side content.
Since Osborne is smirking at the end I can only imagine they're going down the route of him taking Peter Parker's place as Superior Spider-Man. Which would be interesting if Miles and Cindy became the main characters distracted by Carnage and Green Goblin. Maybe Red Goblin could be an amalgamated big bad.
I think Carnage is gonna be the DLC for 2. It would make sense to wrap up all the Symbiote stuff in the Symbiote focused game. Norman will 100% become the Goblin, probably testing the serum on himself first after seeing what just happened to Harry with Venom. I also think Peter is going to die. Fighting and bringing down the Green Goblin. Possibly with Ock there as well.
I want to see Chameleon but I really think he should have been wrapped up in this game with Kraven. But hey, I might change my mind when we finally see what they have in store.
My theory: both Green Goblin and Carnage will start off as the bad guys, Carnage doing Carnage stuff with Miles trying to stop him, and then Norman will be taking revenge on Peter and kill MJ. However both storylines will meet and both the Carnage symbiote and Goblin will merge into Red Goblin, and from there it could go many ways
The third game Peter better not be getting saved all the time and I would not mind if after the game Peter can rest and we can have a game or two with miles and Cindy until something crazy comes up for Peter to come back out

I believe that Silk will be the villain in the standalone Miles game, and she’ll be working with the chameleon because the chameleon wants to fight the “new” spider man but once silk start to realize the chameleon is in the wrong he kills her, I personally think it’ll build character for Miles
Insomniac designs the game based on what fan's love the most of a character. I personally think that we are going to see 3 green goblins: The classic with glider & pumpkins, the giant monster green goblin and the Red Goblin since Carnage should be on the same game. Oh YEAH, its all coming together
I think they leading towards the Superior spider man story arc because Otto is deteriorating and they have the suit in the game as a hint and Otto says he's writing the last chapter and I think they kill Miles not Mary Jane because Miles in this universe is the Ben Riely.

I feel like peter will be fazed out in the new game, i hate this option bc he is the og for me and most people. Cindy while bit by same spider as peter she has more potential in her powers (in my opinion) so in game it would be difficult for peter to get equal treatment from a gameplay standpoint. They kinda already did this in the end of spider man 2 with miles. But I wont hate a game that has yet to be announced
I could see in SM3 maybe Norman and Otto come forming a truce so they can work to gether to defeat Peter and Miles. The final boss would be a double battle w/Otto and Goblin vs. Miles and Silk. Miles gets seriously injured in the battle and Peter has to come back into the game to take them out. Two spider people bitten by the same spider working together to take out Otto and Goblin. Since every game includes a new suit for the finale (Ock suit for SM1 and Anti-venom suit for SM2), perhaps this will be a Superior Spiderman style suit where it contains arms similar to Ottos.
For Spidey 3 I’ll say the bosses will be: Chameleon, Jackal, Smythe and the Spider Slayers, Morbius, Hydro Man, Green Goblin, Riot, Toxin, Carmage. I can see cameos from Wolverine and Iron Man.

The game was real good except for the leftwing BS like keeping MJ with masculine features, the black deaf girl, the gay couple, speaking about “BIPOC”, environmentalism, etc. It’s force fed and doesn’t feel natural. The fact that Miles, his mom, Ganke, and other people all seem to know ASL just to communicate with the deaf girl is unreal. Insomniac was criticized for being too friendly to the police in the previous game so they made sure to change that in this game. So the hunters seem to have full immunity to do whatever they want without police bothering them. Insomniac is making sure to cross boxes to get a good GSA/DEI woke score.
That’s 100% Disney and marvel interfering to make sure these things are represented in the game. I found everyone knowing sign language extra too and that side mission with Halley was hard to get through. Respectfully I know most people don’t have time to learn a language only a subset of a subset of the population will know.
Here’s what I think will happen with the goblin. Norman visited Otto in prison in the post credits scene (obviously). Otto is probably writing his plan for how to get revenge on Peter for his defeat in the first game. Norman’s G-Serum isn’t finished yet so he goes to ask Otto for help. They used to work together in Oscorp. So maybe Otto tampers with the Serum to turn Harry into the Hob Goblin. All the while behind the scenes, Otto is recreating his Dr Octopus arms but are more advanced than the first game. He also likely injects Norman with the same serum he used in Harry turning them both into Goblins. Norman already has a grudge against the SpiderMen, not Peter as he doesn’t know who they are. Otto probably will pull a Mysterio and reveal Peter’s identity to the world. Once Norman finds out who SpiderMan really is, his craving for revenge against SpiderMan will be dialed up to 11. The 3 of them likely the final bosses for the 3rd game. This is how I think it’s going to go personally but I could be wrong
Carnage will be DLC for sure. The call with Yuri at the end of the quest gives it away. She says that it could "take months or even years". That certainly sounds like a time frame for a DLC.
With Doc Ock and Carnage in the next game, I would love it if Monster Ock from the Spider-Man game on PS1, Dreamcast, N64, and PC makes a return in Spider-Man 3.
My idea for a Spider-Man 3: The game's premise involves Dr. Doom being the main villain, tries to take over NYC and bands together the entire SINISTER 60 to end Peter and Miles once and for all, while the two heroes band together the entire SPIDER-VERSE of 40, to go to war against Doom and his endgame alliance. Other than the story-mode, the game also has an online-multiplayer battle royale mode of 100 characters. (The next game after that would be Spider-Man Zerø, where it focuses on Peter Parker's origins.)
Cindy is most likely going to be Miles’ stepsister. I severely doubt that there’s going to be some sick and twisted romantic subplot between them. 😭😭😭

Norman Osborn and Oscrop have been at the root of almost everything that’s happened since the first game. It only makes sense Norman’s Green Goblin is the final villain and the one who causes Peter the most pain. I can’t wait to see that showdown.

@@angelm365 personally I hope that isn’t true. Harry was already the main villain of this game. It would be a bit much for him to be both Venom and the Goblin. And Norman’s Goblin is Peter’s definitive arch rival. He’s Peter’s Joker. I think it would be a huge waste not to have this Norman become the Goblin. Especially when the actor is so good and he’s already played a huge role in the story so far.
@theWn123 Personally I hope it is true; and insomniac foreshadowed it already: when mj, miles, and Peter were planning their stragedy, Peter uses an actual green goblin(for illustration purposes of course 🤣) to signify harry/venom.
Thematically, it's more tragically fitting if Norman uses the g serum on Harry instead of himself in an attempt to bring him back because he refuses to let him go, only for a twisted version of Harry to come back aka the green goblin.
This twisted version of Harry knows Peter more intimately than any other villain thus far and would bring chaos into Peter's life like no one else could. I can already imagine Peter's guilt of killing his best friend coming back to haunt him as he tries to retire.
Norman could never accomplish this and serves the plot better as an evil Tony stark gathering the evil avengers.
Harry has already been both venom and green goblin in other iterations; the same can happen here as well.
Doc Oct was a main villain as well but will also come back for the final chapter, harry can as well; this game won't be coming out for years.
Spider-man doesn't have an arch nemesis the same way batman has the joker.
Norman's voice actor has been perfect, but whether he can produce what it would take to pull off the green goblin is anyone's guese.
Honestly, I found this iteration of Harry to be so wholesome, I just want him to have a happy ending by the end of this trilogy.
@@angelm365 maybe that will happen but the way I saw it they were foreshadowing Norman was gonna become the goblin. He was wearing green in almost every scene he was in. In the scene where he mentions the g serum, he’s wearing a green jacket and purple pants. My prediction is Norman will test the serum on himself before he gives it to Harry. He’ll offer himself up as a test subject for the serum and it’ll drive him mad and turn him into the Goblin. They established he blames the Spider Men for Harry so that will be the source of the Goblin’s conflict with them. Either way I trust insomniac with whatever they chose to do though.
I actually hope for Carnage DLC, because the quest line of the flame ended so abruptly, and I don't want to wait another 5 years for him to show up. I am thinking though that Carnage could become a villain for Venom spin-off

Yeah I'm pretty sure they were keeping him for a dlc along with Wraith kinda like the Black Cat missions in the first game, I think that's why the questline ended abruptly and were more elaborate than the other side missions
That's why I pull my hair out when people talk about what they want in SM3. WTF are we talking about a game we wont get for 3-5 years, when we should be wanting DLC to add to the very short game we just paid for. I think we should be talking about how these should be large DLC expansions.

I think Chameleon will infiltrate the Morales household disguised as Cindy's dad.9nce you complete a certain set of side missions, you get led to an apartment and discover Kraven has a brother AKA Chameleon. As the cut scene plays out we see him watching his place from a distance, vows to do what kraven couldnt, and kill spiderman. They show him disguised as an Asian man using his "camouflage" tech. Who's to say he wont take the form of Cindy's dad?

I think Chameleon would be a good choice for a villain, he killed Peter's parents in the comics, could want to take it a step forward and target everything with meaning to Peter like MJ and his legacy with Miles.
My personal theories. 1. I expect a expansion game to introduce Silk 2. I think we’ll see a time skip and Miles will be in college and Peter and MJ will be engaged/married.3 I expect Miles and Cindy to be the main focal point of the first half of the game with Peter only having scenes with MJ and Osborn to build tension for the finale 4.First half of SM3 ends with Miles and Cindy defeating Carnage but after that battle Otto escapes from the raft. 5.After all that happens Harry gets worse and desperate Norman takes the Gserum to see if it works. 6.Otto will take a villans body (not a Spider-Man’s) 7.Doubt MJ dies but someone does (Rio/Haile)and final fights are against Doc Ock and Goblin

I think they could go with the Superior Spider-Man route and have Otto take over Peter's body and try to fight Carnage and Goblin, but he wouldn't be good enough and decide to give Peter's body back by the end.
I'm thinking something along these lines as well, but Peter is the one that dies, leaving the Spider Team still being a family. MJ, Miles and Cindy. And then at the end we find out MJs kid has spider powers.
I think we will see a Miles Morales 2 game, with Peter "retired" it's setup storywise.

I think they'll do a mixture of him turning into an actual goblin, but also using a glider, and his pumpkin bombs, and his blades. A good even blend of a real goblin and using tech would look nice and be a hard and fun boss to fight

I really dont understand how some people look at the ending and say Peter is done being Spiderman and wont be playable in the 3rd game. It sounds absolutely absurd considering the fact that norman and Otto the two villains that literally have a hate boner for peter why wouldn't they end the trilogy and have peter sidelined it makes no sense just from a narrative perspective imo.

I think this ending with Peter retiring is a good way to explain why Peter isn't going to be to involved in another miles game. I think a second Miles game will be with silk and have miles take the role of teacher. I think the end of miles could have some bigger villain like goblin or carnage could appear at the end maybe just a cutscene and have miles calling Peter for help since he is in over his head.
This could also have Peter as more of a leader in the third game, showing why he is important as a spiderman

I think Carnage will be DLC because Spider-Man 2 is the symbiote story. The final mission for the flame cult also takes place right next to where there is a blocked out city on the map that could be unlocked in DLC. SM3 will take place outside of NYC and include multiverse aspects

Black Cat is in Europe with her Girlfriend, Peter and MJ cemented their relationship while Pete is seemingly retiring as Spider-Man trusting in Miles to protect the city. While Silk is being set up to become Miles's Step-Sister.

I do hope they keep the idea of Peter and Cidny being bitten by the same spider but without the relationship side of it. They could use that to bring peter back or just add a sense of security for peter as well. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the Miles version you implied though. I think we may get a Miles focused DLC that helps establish Silk and build her character. The main villain might be camelion and he is hunting for Peter but tries to get information from Miles.
I just feel like in this rendition the age gap is so large that there is no possible way she could have been bit by the exact same spider, but it's possible!

I think at the end of the mission when Yuri goes off to trail Carnage and says "this could take months, maybe even years" it is breaking the fourth wall and hinting that he will come in a while, real time and in-game wise. So my point is if there is a DLC, I do not think it will be Carnage. He has to be coming in either 3, 4, or a spin-off game down the line.

She also said how Cletus Kasady was a someone involved with The Flame, not The Flame himself, so Cletus might take it from The Flame, or they might have the Flame just be Carnage
I think the third game might well be Peter’s last ride where Peter tries to stay semi-retired but Green Goblin brings him back. Maybe Norman finds out his identity and goes after MJ to draw him out.
Peter isn’t done. Goblin is a villain that’s so closely connected to him that you couldn’t bench him. Norman literally says he thinks of him as a son. Finding out Peter is Spider-Man, who Norman blames for Harry losing his ‘cure’, would probably drive him even more mad.
I hope they don’t kill Pete off though. A genuinely happy ending for him where he gets to swing off into the sunset and retire with MJ and raise a family knowing that Miles (and possibly Cindy) are around to take up the mantle would be best.
Let Peter be happy for once, insomniac. Marvel won’t do it but you can

I thought this at first too because of her lack of in comic costume changes. But actually she ( like Miles) has a decent amount of variant covers they can use for reference on customisation. Still Insomniac will have to make quite a few originals no doubt.

I really hope Cindy doesn’t get her powers until after Spider-Man 3, as the game would be way too chaotic to balance all three heroes and give them all a satisfying story. However, I was surprised how good Miles’ story was despite taking the backseat in this game so I have trust in insomniac.
With Peter’s hiatus there could be a Miles Morales 2 game which would be cool.
And I really hope that Peter or MJ don’t die, I hope we can have the one version of Spider-Man where there a is a happy ending and he can actually find a balance. But that’s a bit too optimistic.

I would want to see a prequel spin-off of Peter Parker when he first became Spider-Man 10 years prior to this game. I loved the flashbacks with teenage Peter and Harry and would love to expand on that. An origin for this version of Peter would probably be a little different to what we’d be used to seeing too. If this would be a smaller scale game, then i wouldn’t mind it taking place in Queens. Also limiting Spider-Man from having advanced gadgets and tools, but using homemade stuff instead could be interesting too. Now the main villain could be a bit difficult to figure out, but i’d like to see many of the classic villains like Electro, Vulture, Rino and even Sandman. I really want to see Peter’s growth as Spider-Man both mentally and physically. I want that journey that shows both pros and cons with being a masked vigilante then finally at the end of the game, Peter says “With great power, there must also come great responsibility”

Oh my god YES!!!!!! I would LOVE that!!!! One of my favorite parts of the second game was all the flashbacks! I know Peter talks about fighting the other villains when you collect the backpacks, but I want to actually do it and see his growth as Spider-Man! Then we can see what lead up to him finally taking down Willy after 8 years, and Yuri Watanabe trusting him enough to let him help out!
Just so aslong as Harry isn't Venom anymore.
My theory so far with Spider-Man 3 will go absolutely insane in terms of villains, Going as far as to see Norman as green goblin, a variant of the clone saga that allows for Superior Spider-Man and Harry to be healed. Carnage can be the intro that highlights the new features involving both spidermen and silk all being playable. Then silk can be fully fleshed out in a side game before hand with Miles being the new age mentor.

For Harry, I think they'll go the route they took with Peter where he had Venom for so long that its ingrained in his body and he'll get revived and Venom will get to come back, but without the meteor connecting him to Knull, he can be his own being and start being the lethal protector in his spinoff game.

Norman knows Miles is a Spider-Man, so I don’t know what that really means for the end of the game. In my game I postponed the final mission and Norman Osborn called Miles and made him promise not to hurt Harry, and ended the call by calling him Spider-Man.

Carnage definitely should be DLC. He's too popular to either be a side story villain or a villain for a single Act or Chapter of a main game. He deserves to be the focus.
BUT I want that DLC to end with the symbiote being contained where we can save it for the next game, opening the possibility for Red Goblin or even Monster Ock. I know Insomniac loves to pay homage to past Spider-man media

Your theories are pretty interesting. I can see Carnage definitely be more of a DLC thing like how Hammerhead was in the previous game. Also as well as your theory with the whole Green Goblin situation seems pretty possible, I can't help but feel like they're gonna do a Superior Spider-Man like arc with Peter, considering that Doc Ock is also going to be a main villain next to Green Goblin, and he's gonna need Peter's body in order to be healthy again because if you remember in the first game after the final boss battle, he begs Peter to not turn him in and said they if they put him away that they'll take his tentacles and he'll be trapped in this useless body.

I disagree in terms of it being Mary Jane. I actually think they may be setting up Peter’s death. It’s looking like for the third game Peter will come out of retirement and be Spider-man one last time, since at the end of this game he finally finds happiness. We know that the third game will be “the final chapter” and in the Ultimate comics, Peter dies fighting Goblin.
Totally think that's highly possible. The sinister six did kill Peter in the Ultimate comics, with Goblin doing the final blow. Seems like what they might be setting up here.

i don't think they will KIll peter off i reckon he's simply leave the superhero life and he and MJ will go on to get married and have Mayday Parker, of which she will then one day be trained to become Spider-girl by a much Older More experienced Miles, i'd very much prefer a story where Peter's legacy comes full circle instead of them just outright aborting it by ripping of the ultimate spider-man storyline of which was just an excuse to shoehorn in miles of which has already been done in the games already.

i personally think that Spiderman 3 should be entirely PETER's story with no other playable characters and have it be about ending Peter's story and sending the first ever web head out with a bang.
thing is we have never EVER had a definitive ending to Spiderman's story in the entire history of the character insomniac has the opportunity to give us what many will see as the CANON ending to Spiderman's story just like how so many see the Knightfall in arkham knight as Batman's true ending where he gives up bruce wayne to become BATMAN completely.
i think they should have Spiderman 3 be about Peter facing the biggest threat he's ever faced and he has to face it ALONE, and in the end he either Dies a hero or he Retires from being Spiderman completely and he and MJ leave New york and later down the line like say 10-15 years later a certain Mayday parker arrives to new york and is trained by Miles bringing the story full circle.
I'd be down for that, but I doubt it'll happen.
I would like to see a boss fight with Norman/Green Goblin similar to the last fight in Spectacular Spiderman (spoilers) where Green Goblin is on a glider, has a small army, and set up pumpkin bomb cannons all over a city block, that would be so cool

Concerning the saturation of spider-people in this universe, I'm always open for more characters to join the crew, however I did decide a few years back that I would be completely content with a Spider-man trinity of sorts. Although, I was expecting the third member to appear in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, have a similar role to Miles in the first game, and for them to be Gwen Stacy (at least I was 1/3 right). So I'm excitedly curious to see how Silk will be fleshed out in future installments, and I hope Gwen gets some kind of cameo (not necessarily becoming Spider-Gwen, but an acknowledgement of her existence).
Has there ever been a reference to her?

Carnage has to be a main game villian! Either way it goes. I think 3 will focus mainly on Norman's revenge and Otto's plan. Making Peter come back to help Miles take on the threats and having Silk take a back seat for possibly her own spin off game to bridge between 3-4. I agree MJ is going to die. I also think we could see a form of Superior Spider-Man with Otto being involved. So many branches and roads to explore. I think 4 would be better for Carnage. So we have a whole plot dedicated to him. Possibly setting up a maximum carnage scenario and a darker plotline. Carnage has to have an M rating on it.. It's in the nature of the character itself. I have faith in Insomniac and I know they will do the fans justice! Let's see how it plays out with time! Excitement is high! :)

i believe its not a bad decision that they added silk into this universe because
(spoiler alert) peter at the end looks like hes going to focus on his relationship and family with mj also with the EMF. With this we can assume that he is may be retiring as peter tells miles to call him whenever he needs him. Either way this is a spider man game and its cool to see new additions of spider people into the game. this brings more attention to them.
Nothing can keep him retired for long! Something has to go wrong eventually.

Carnage will definitely be a DLC to stay in the symbiote theme of the game. The first was an intellectual villain who go used that to create a technological strength enhancement by way of the arms, Venom is brute force through and through. Then you will have the third in The Goblin with him having brain and brute strength. The reason the symbiotes are still around is because the swirl on the meteor and their faces is the symbol of Knull (God of Symbiotes) it wasn’t specifically Venom creating them he is essentially a general.

I hope that Harry being addicted to the serum is temporary. One way to make that happen is through Anti-Venom. Pete gives the suit to Harry to cure his addiction, but instead Harry becomes Anti-Venom. Temporarily. Eventually the Anti-Venom heals and bonds to Harry completely to cure the addiction. However, because of the lack of a hive mind, Harry would still be in control despite being fully fused with Anti-Venom, and he becomes Agent Anti-Venom. Would love to see, fight alongside and potentially play as Agent Anti-Venom or Anti-Venom in general. Really hope this ends up being the case.
Edit: MJ, Peter, Rio, Hailey are all candidates for a potential death. But your theory is still my favorite.

I dont see Peter losing the symbiote, especially with the Tony Stark style theme of taking a piece of all his main villains into his powerset that Insomniac is going for so far. But I do see Harry becoming Agent Venom or Agent Anti-Venom proper as his way of coming back.
I don't think it would be such a good idea for Harry Osborn to be Venom anymore.
When they destroyed the stone it ended the hive mind of the symbiotes, individual symbiotes can exist and bond to individual hosts but they are no longer a hive mind…that is how I understood it. That way Carnage and Venom can still exist without retreading the story

One thing I think you missed was the “Chameleon” will most likely play a big role in the next game as well. He was hunted by Kraven during the spiderman 2 game and stayed hidden. Also I think Doc Oct makes a comeback especially when he says he’s writing the final chapter, I think that’s a sign that he might have found a way to get out of prison. It’s going to be amazing. Green Goblin, Carnage, Chameleon, and possibly Doc Oct all coming after the spidermen would be crazy.
It'll be interesting to see how he plays a role!
Anyone remember that 2017 Spider-Man show? Yeah, it wasn’t good, but that Goblin Nation was a pretty cool idea imo, and I think they could do a great job with it in Spider-Man 3

I see peter taking more of a back seat in the next game because he is now more focused on Peter Parker side of himself. I doubt he would be out permanently but becoming more of a support/advisor character only really being called in as backup especially with his new anti-venom powers. I would rather have peter have a happy ending, he’s been through enough both in game and literally every other media. He has well and truly earned his happiness. While miles become a mentor/big brother to silk splitting the work load between each others. It fits with the idea the anyone can take up the mantle of spider-man.
This is how I would see it working:
Spider-man (Peter Parker): Tech/Training Support and power house of the group.
Spider-man (Miles Morales): Stealth master and mentor dealer of the group.
Silk (Cindy Moon): (possibly unique powers?) the bridge between the two, the overall character of the group.
Yeah, Peter definitely soft retired to focus more on balancing his life (a big thing in this franchise has been balance after all) hell, he says to call him if hes needed and some missions have a post game variant that implies peters still around as spider-man after the ending.
I think Peter won't die, but rather retire at the end of the game after his battle with the Green Goblin (he might give up his powers) leaving Miles, Cindy, Yuri, Harry (Agent Anti-Venom), and possibly Gwen as the protectors of NYC. Carnage will be in the DLC and possibly a Venom game set before Spider-man 3, but there are plenty of other characters they could introduce in 3.

also, relating to the carnage side quests, it's wraiths main goal to track him down, and as she made clear she is dead set on bringing him down. i wouldn't at all be surprised to see that come in the form of a dlc where peter and yuri team up and track down cletus. possibly he doesn't reach final carnage form, as peter wore the symbiote for a long time and it kind of progressed slowly in taking him over. and then maybe the dlc ends off with them thinking they defeated him, only for him to come back in the next game as a main villain in his final carnage form.

Ironically there are multiple Wolverine clones/children in the comics so who knows. But I like the idea of Peter training the next generation of spider heroes. Rather than him dying and being replaced. Plus 3 characters is more content and I was shun that. But insomniac has my trust with Spider-Man. They hit it out the park 3 times now.

If Miles is going to be the Spider-Man to focus on after 3, and Insomniac is making more marvel hero based games in a shared universe, I think 3 should end with Peter being offered to join the Avengers. This way Miles can take the Spider-Man solo games, while Peter can be used for Avenger games.
Also I feel we should have a side mission facing Carnage as he was set up on Spider-Man 2, but I only say side mission as we want Norman Osborne as the big baddie. Then all three main Spidey games have used all three of Spider-Man’s arch enemies; Doctor Octopus, Venom, and Green Goblin.

One thing i haven't seen yet is the mention of monster ock (Carnage doctor octopus). He appeared in one of the very first ever spiderman games. It'd be awesome to see him make a return and it's not like it doesn't have setup.

if they kill off peter i would be pissed because miles is such a basic boring version in these games no where near as good as the spiderverse version there’s literally no reason to kill peter and no reason for him to retire given that he’s only 25 these games need to be focused on peter.
He's more comic accurate in this version, but that doesn't always mean better. The Spider-Verse really gave him a lot more character. I agree with you, but I still have a feeling they're going to do it!

I think a miles game will come out first in like 2025 like they did with the first, during the game miles will mentor silk and face own challenges, then in spiderman 3, Peter will die fighting Norman and possibly Harry as well, leaving miles as the main protagonist. Atleast that's kind of what they been hinting during spiderman 2

I love the message that the game's story gives. Balance. Peter's life has basically become unlivable due to him only focusing on Spider-Man for so long and by the end he takes a break and starts rebuilding his normal life again. Like the lesson that May taught him, he's finding balance in his life,after he burnt himself out. I take the ending message as a way of saying,no one can do everything by themselves and if you aren't taking care of yourself,then you won't be any good at helping people you care about.

I feel like maybe they might actually adapt a superior spiderman type story with Otto and Peter for maybe the 1st half of the game and then more of a focus on the green goblin in the 2nd half of the game. I feel like the goblin in the game might be similar to the goblin seen in Into The Spiderverse or Ultimate Spiderman. Instead of MJ dying I feel like Peter will instead, and Silk and Miles will continue on. What are your thoughts tho?

I think something else to consider is what they chose to tease at the end of the game and compare it to the first game. Last game, they teased harry in the tank at the end. So we can assume the stuff at the end is whats setting up for the next major game.
Because of that, i do not think chameleon or carnage will be a part of spiderman 3. in fact they’re both remnants of the symbiote and kraven. would it not make more sense for that to be resolved in the dlc?
i also personally believe we’ll get another spin off spider man game. could be miles morales 2, could be silk. carnage or chameleon would probably be in that.

I actually don't see them killing Mj like this, that would cut many possibilities. If we return to Spiderman 1994 show, I think Mj will be lost between dimensions, leaving Peter thinking she's dead. Here insomniac can introduce Gween Stacy, a new love interest for Peter. That gives chance for Madam Webb to be introduced too, helping Peter finding Mj in future games. Maybe after finding her and Peter being stuck between Gween and Mj, it gives a chance for a romance between Mj and Eddie Brock, always staying in 1994 version. After Eddie introduction, we can have a Venom return and Carnage, Spiderman against two super villains would be a an epic fight.

my hope for Silk is number 1 she’s around 13-14 so we have 3 different Spider-people at 3 different stages of life and 3 different stages of Spider-person experience and have her react the opposite of Miles, make her worry that something is wrong with her and that’s she’s a villian so at the end of the game we can get a badass swinging sequence with all 3 of them with her in her own Silk (Spider) suit

Hoping the next game expands with the bronx, Staten Island and New Jersey. Also want some kind of theme going on with the city so it gives a different vibe, miles already did Christmas so I think Halloween would be great it’s a video game so I think maybe going abit more over the top with decorations everywhere could be fun.
Following from that we know green goblin and do ock will be main antagonists (I do think carnage is dlc for 2) but to fit my Halloween theme I’d love for the side villains to be morbius, man wolf, jack o lantern, swarm and sin eater.
When it comes to silk I think her character gameplay wise will obviously focus on her organic webbing and I think they could play with some really run concepts like web constructs kind of like what they did with regular spiderman in shattered dimensions
When it comes to Pete I don’t want him to still have anti venom I’d prefer if he gave it to Curt Connors to use for medical purposes or something and instead just go all in with Pete being the tech spiderman and have his ability wheel just being a second wheel of gadgets and having a plethora to choose from and I think it would be fun if they were themed of tech from his iconic villains he’s fought over the years
With miles he already has orange venom for melee, blue for ranged so I think having a purple type of electricity introduced that focuses on magnetism could be a fun expansion on his set
Last thing I’ll say is when it comes to overall game innovation I think they need to take a leaf from web of shadows and go all in on wall combat to add a new level of verticality and I think they really to focus on replay ability in the open world taking some inspiration from arkham when it comes to side content and challenge modes

The DLC will probably be like how they did it for the first game; waves of story based missions that are all one over arching story. Hammerhead was the central villain of those so maybe Carnage will be the focus for the sequel DLC

Okay here’s my theories:
1. Norman is the original green goblin, however harry takes the serum and because of his symbiot bond he becomes the ultimate green goblin
2. Peter dies, not MJ making miles the mentor to silk in a spin off game mirroring the first PS4 spiderman
3. Silk gains spider powers at the end of the game setting up a spin off game.

Adding Cindy is not a good idea. Not because it’s the character or how she’ll be handled. It’s because of Miles. Miles in this game felt like a side character, at times he was a hit in the story but more misses feeling like he was forced into scenarios to stay relevant. So adding another character into the spotlight will not only take away more attention from Pete and Miles but limits her time to shine as well.
I feel that.
Carnage will be the DLC. It's how the devs can add more Symbiote Enemies in the game, along with The Flame being the main Enemies you'll probably fight. Remember The Black Cat Side Mission in SM1 set up the DLC so I assume one of the SM2 side Missions is setting up DLC, my Money is on Carnage. Also you can't have Venom without Carnage.

Carnage is definitely not going to be a DLC he is to big of a character to be put in a DLC they definitely saving him for SM3
@comicdagamer190 Why would he be in SM3? Clearly the villain of that game is gonna be The Green Goblin since they've been building him up for 3 games now. Also Carnage really isn't interesting enough to be the main villain, he's just a crazy serial killer. He's a cool character but not complex enough to center an entire game around. Also it would just be repeating this game with the Symbiote stuff, a Green Goblin story doesn't need Carnage.

@comicdagamer190 I don't disagree with you either that he is a top SM villain, but I'm just saying he's not complex of a character enough to have a whole game centered on him. DLC would be perfect, just enough time with Carnage to show how badass he is. Venom is different because of the relationship Harry has with Peter, and the Symbiotes relationship to Pete as well. Carnage just doesn't have that connection, Norman does however, and so does Doc Ock who will be another big player in SM3. Chameleon could he a DLC side mission, like how Screwball was in all 3 dlcs for SM1 as side content.
Since Osborne is smirking at the end I can only imagine they're going down the route of him taking Peter Parker's place as Superior Spider-Man. Which would be interesting if Miles and Cindy became the main characters distracted by Carnage and Green Goblin. Maybe Red Goblin could be an amalgamated big bad.

I think Carnage is gonna be the DLC for 2. It would make sense to wrap up all the Symbiote stuff in the Symbiote focused game.
Norman will 100% become the Goblin, probably testing the serum on himself first after seeing what just happened to Harry with Venom.
I also think Peter is going to die. Fighting and bringing down the Green Goblin. Possibly with Ock there as well.
I want to see Chameleon but I really think he should have been wrapped up in this game with Kraven. But hey, I might change my mind when we finally see what they have in store.

My theory: both Green Goblin and Carnage will start off as the bad guys, Carnage doing Carnage stuff with Miles trying to stop him, and then Norman will be taking revenge on Peter and kill MJ. However both storylines will meet and both the Carnage symbiote and Goblin will merge into Red Goblin, and from there it could go many ways
Red Goblin would be cool!
The third game Peter better not be getting saved all the time and I would not mind if after the game Peter can rest and we can have a game or two with miles and Cindy until something crazy comes up for Peter to come back out

I believe that Silk will be the villain in the standalone Miles game, and she’ll be working with the chameleon because the chameleon wants to fight the “new” spider man but once silk start to realize the chameleon is in the wrong he kills her, I personally think it’ll build character for Miles

Insomniac designs the game based on what fan's love the most of a character. I personally think that we are going to see 3 green goblins: The classic with glider & pumpkins, the giant monster green goblin and the Red Goblin since Carnage should be on the same game.

I think they leading towards the Superior spider man story arc because Otto is deteriorating and they have the suit in the game as a hint and Otto says he's writing the last chapter and I think they kill Miles not Mary Jane because Miles in this universe is the Ben Riely.

Miles is most definitely not getting killed. If anything peter most likely is going to die in the next game. It makes no sense to kill miles off

@@kingofthe313 can't have a green goblin in anything and not have him kill someone important to Peter the arc is following the same trajectory of the clone saga Peter retires for a bit with Mary Jane while Ben Reilly takes over for a bit until Goblin kills him someones gotta die again Spider Verse said 2 Spider Man can't coexist why in Miles universe his Peter died because he wasn't supposed to get bit.
I feel like peter will be fazed out in the new game, i hate this option bc he is the og for me and most people. Cindy while bit by same spider as peter she has more potential in her powers (in my opinion) so in game it would be difficult for peter to get equal treatment from a gameplay standpoint. They kinda already did this in the end of spider man 2 with miles. But I wont hate a game that has yet to be announced

I could see in SM3 maybe Norman and Otto come forming a truce so they can work to gether to defeat Peter and Miles. The final boss would be a double battle w/Otto and Goblin vs. Miles and Silk. Miles gets seriously injured in the battle and Peter has to come back into the game to take them out. Two spider people bitten by the same spider working together to take out Otto and Goblin. Since every game includes a new suit for the finale (Ock suit for SM1 and Anti-venom suit for SM2), perhaps this will be a Superior Spiderman style suit where it contains arms similar to Ottos.

For Spidey 3 I’ll say the bosses will be: Chameleon, Jackal, Smythe and the Spider Slayers, Morbius, Hydro Man, Green Goblin, Riot, Toxin, Carmage. I can see cameos from Wolverine and Iron Man.

@@pixel8ted Well think about it.. they killed off Joel, our hero in the Last of us, they wanted to get rid of Kratos in ragnarok which was rewritten later, in Spiderman 2 Insomniasc is already playing with the thoughts of peter no longer be spiderman and pass the torch to miles..they obviously want to know the reactions of the fans if they would be ok with miles being spiderman now.. cuz they definitely dont want another last of us 2 situation.. And remember, Doc ock already announced the ''Final Chapter?

The game was real good except for the leftwing BS like keeping MJ with masculine features, the black deaf girl, the gay couple, speaking about “BIPOC”, environmentalism, etc.
It’s force fed and doesn’t feel natural. The fact that Miles, his mom, Ganke, and other people all seem to know ASL just to communicate with the deaf girl is unreal. Insomniac was criticized for being too friendly to the police in the previous game so they made sure to change that in this game. So the hunters seem to have full immunity to do whatever they want without police bothering them. Insomniac is making sure to cross boxes to get a good GSA/DEI woke score.
That’s 100% Disney and marvel interfering to make sure these things are represented in the game. I found everyone knowing sign language extra too and that side mission with Halley was hard to get through. Respectfully I know most people don’t have time to learn a language only a subset of a subset of the population will know.
Here’s what I think will happen with the goblin. Norman visited Otto in prison in the post credits scene (obviously). Otto is probably writing his plan for how to get revenge on Peter for his defeat in the first game. Norman’s G-Serum isn’t finished yet so he goes to ask Otto for help. They used to work together in Oscorp. So maybe Otto tampers with the Serum to turn Harry into the Hob Goblin. All the while behind the scenes, Otto is recreating his Dr Octopus arms but are more advanced than the first game. He also likely injects Norman with the same serum he used in Harry turning them both into Goblins. Norman already has a grudge against the SpiderMen, not Peter as he doesn’t know who they are. Otto probably will pull a Mysterio and reveal Peter’s identity to the world. Once Norman finds out who SpiderMan really is, his craving for revenge against SpiderMan will be dialed up to 11. The 3 of them likely the final bosses for the 3rd game. This is how I think it’s going to go personally but I could be wrong

Carnage will be DLC for sure. The call with Yuri at the end of the quest gives it away. She says that it could "take months or even years". That certainly sounds like a time frame for a DLC.

With Doc Ock and Carnage in the next game, I would love it if Monster Ock from the Spider-Man game on PS1, Dreamcast, N64, and PC makes a return in Spider-Man 3.

My idea for a Spider-Man 3:
The game's premise involves Dr. Doom being the main villain, tries to take over NYC and bands together the entire SINISTER 60 to end Peter and Miles once and for all, while the two heroes band together the entire SPIDER-VERSE of 40, to go to war against Doom and his endgame alliance.
Other than the story-mode, the game also has an online-multiplayer battle royale mode of 100 characters.
(The next game after that would be Spider-Man Zerø, where it focuses on Peter Parker's origins.)
Morbius is a must for spider man 3 he has been teased in both games now
