I feel like your on the ball here, although I do feel like maybe Ellie and Abby end up creating this kind of Fireflies kind of group but with a mixture of Jackson City as well, they are probably gonna end up creating a group so that humanity has this kind of last remaining hope for what has happen these past decades, because everything humanity has done to itself just for survival is a big toll, you really can't just make a cure and hope humanity goes back to how they were before, you kinda have to have this kind of group that guides them back into I guess forgiving each other for the atrocities humanity has done to itself, especially since the groups they were in weren't the best at this kind of thing

Lot of people say that Ellie spared Abby because she understood that it won't bring Joel back....yeah that is one point. But the moment she saw blood coming out of her body.. she sees Joel in front of her eyes covered with blood and dead...and her revenge mode switches back on...and then while fighting Abby and as she is about to kill her she again sees Joel...this time for the very first time not screaming, with no blood around his face just him sitting in his porch with his guitar and then she suddenly snaps out of it and let Abby go...and we later on see that complete flashback scene when she comes back to the farm, holds the guitar and recalls how she was making an effort to forgive Joel. So at that moment while fighting Abby she realised that the way it was too late for her to forgive Joel..she can't let it happen to Lev that later Lev won't be able to forgive Ellie and whatever trauma she faced will happen with Lev as well and the revenge cycle will also continue. Even when she saw Abby hanging and as she cuts her rope and brought her down to fight fair and square she suddenly just paused and stood there with her knife and starred at Abby cutting Lev's rope and carrying him in her arms. We see that Ellie is not able to attack Abby...maybe at that very moment she realizes that it's a similar relationship to her and Joel's. There was a stream of emotions and confusion that was going on Ellie's mind at that time but at last she did the right thing and understood and didn't wanted to make Lev's situation similar to her and that's why Ellie's last words to Abby were (in tlou2) Go, just take him.....

I just beat TLOUS2 Remaster and immediately watched the making of documentary that is in the game. Neil did mention at the end of the documentary that the Tommy DLC could possibly end up as part of the show or a spinoff. I believe we do see it in some form. any of you are more than welcome to research this yourself but from what I remember he mentioned the tommy story taking place after Part 2 and leading into Part 3. TLOU will absolutely be ended with part 3. I heavily got the sense of that when watching and listening to him speak about it at the end.

to be honest the quote that druckmann made, I was thinking he meant they could sell the franchise to another developer someday..........I hope not but with the state of modern gaming nothing would surprise me........

I think Sony isn't gonna let Tlou end with part 2. Trilogies are just so popular nowadays and why would the documentary highlight Druckmann's "part 3 concept" if it wasn't going to happen? It'll just be too much of a money maker to stop. But I can definitely see the show being a walking dead situation that keeps going after part 3

The problem is how is Tommy going to fit into this “forgiveness” story arc

they need to do what the walking dead creators did, make a whole different storyline of different people from a different perspective of what was happening on the other side of the world.

The game made so good progress, a great experience in apocalypse world with great places, like hospital. This game deserves attention.

Potentially 4 seasons of a show and 3 games is a lot of content. I think that's pretty good

Good, the last of us doesnt really need a trilogy, there's nothing else to tell anymore, Ellie's story is done, Abbys story is done, so whats the point. Making a brand new game from scratch would be better.

I just hope Part 3 stays ahead of the tv show. I don’t want a Game of Thrones situation where the show outpaces the books. Based on recent news, it looks like Part 2 could inspire seasons 2 and 3, but still worried based on the time it takes to make blockbuster games these days that there could be a situation where the show catches up or even be takes priority.

Part of me thinks, what's the point of Abby returning in part 3, but also we had so much time with her, why not.

I think The Last of Us deserves a well rounded trilogy and I absolutely think Part 3 should be a story of Ellie's redemption.

Last of us Part 1 was about love and it actually have you love Joel, Ellie and the story. Last of us Part 2 was about hate and they made the decisions (story) which makes u feel the hate which ellie and abby also feels in the game. Last of Us Part 3 will be about redemption. And i beleive ellie will end up being the cure for cordyceps but also doesn't die. That will be the recovery and redemption story. Great video bro.....
