Great video! My rebound/compression changes made the small bumps much smoother so play around with that. ”It’s fast in a slow way” is forever a golden quote now 😂 just like i am tall in a short way 🏆.
Damn I forgot to mention that in this video... I used the same settings as in your suspension video, and it made a positive difference on the World Raid as well... 👏🏻 Hahaha.... 🤣🔥 no, you are just short... period 🙈 The Scandinavian English is a force in it's own 😆 Thank you Robert, I mean Lord Robert of the Dark Side 🙏🏻
Thanks for your first 1000 km impressions 😀 I’ve only 150 km with mine, but it seems I have same feelings as yours. I usually ride a GS 1250 every day, The first few kilometres seemed a little strange to me 😀 as i was on a real racing bike. So much pleasure ! Have Nice rides
@@tshansen So are you still happy with your bike. I'm so happy with it. Just trying to understand how the gaz jauge works. Because sometime, it seems I don't have enough fuel, but just add 10 liters ! and sometimes, I'm sure to have an half fuel tank, but still have to add 10 liters again to fill it full. I add crashbars and just received Lone Rider Motorbags I have to install with the rear rack. But it is a so cool bike ! have a nice trip !
@@lescautpatrice8468 I'm still really happy with this bike. Run it 6000km already and I have loved every second of it. The gas gauge is just for show. it is all over the place, you need to learn how man km you can ride on each tank. and do the math. I fill up every 400 km then I have used about 18 liters
I changed the base settings on the fork and rear shock after i did the first service and was able to get rid of the harshness you descibe on the smaller bumps, got better support in the twisties, more progressive weight transfer during braking, and more stability and comfort when the fork and shock work harder with longer travel as well. It felt to me like there wasn't enough compression and rebound damping, or preload for that matter, for a 100Kg rider. -That makes perfect sense to me considering the avarage weight the bike most likely is set up for, and i'm happy i was able to dial it in. I made notes of my settings if anyone wan'ts to try if they suite your weight and riding on the WR.
@@vladurs6475 Check out Roberts video on the subject. It makes it way more easy to understand. th-cam.com/video/K8H2nOTgLw8/w-d-xo.html Same settings I'm using on my bike as a starting point, and I have done some minor adjustment to my liking.
You are welcome Alex... Still early, so it is hard to say to much about it other than it fits my need really well, and I can't wait to get to know it better. Cheers 🍻
Great review and got me thinking as I recently swapped my Ice Blue T7 for the World Raid. For me the original T7 needed upgraded suspension for my 90kg weight whereas the WR was great straight out of the box, with smoother power delivery, better balance and lower half wind protection. It feels more grown up lacking some of the fun of the original.
Great review Tjommi! Alot of your thoughts was what I could expect and have felt when was test riding the T7. I would love to test this WR at Bike as well, I have not looked if it's possible yet though. Suspension looks like a great update and seems to do it! Engine sound review is definitely much appreciated 😂🙌. Look forward to see alot more on your farkling, added gear and thoughts on your adventures. See You soon Tjommi 💪🤠🔥.
Thank you Tjommi 😃🔥 Yeah, I bet we had some of the same experiences on this bike, but I have to say, the engine was much better than I expected (for my riding) I heard rumours that the new batch of bikes are delayed here in Norway, so it can take some time before there is demo bikes available. The suspension is a great upgrade, but you know how it is, you always want to see how it could be with even greater suspension 🤭 Engine sound is half the bike.... braap braap 😆 Well, the next couple of videos now will be me out on the trails or the roads, enjoying camping, food and nice scenery. And who knows... maybe a meet up with a true Hero 😇 Skåål Tjommi 🍻
That was actually a very interesting KTM 790 to your newer Tenere 700 review. Still love my KTM1190, never been on a T7 but after your video I am looking forward to test a Yamaha Tenere 700. Ride safe Thomas!!
Thank you James... I have not looked more into this yet, but I hope to sort it out now when winter hits us. This is the black widow with cat. That is plenty enough. More than this would probably just be to loud 🙈🤣
Nice one Thomas, agree with many of your comments and I think a wider screen, say 15mm either side (there’s plenty of room concerning full lock mirror clearance), would make a big difference. So far I find the seat so much better, than the torture device fitted to the T7 Rally Edition. suspension is 100% better, feels more grown up and I don’t feel I need to change the spring as on my T7 RE, they must have put springs that are suited to the euro market rider weight. The CP2 engine is truly a gem, more than enough grunt for mere mortals. 😉 The standard exhaust sound is fine for me (and no rattles from the engine to hide, if you know what I mean Thomas 😉). Overall, its working out nicely. 👍
Thank you mate 🤩 Yeah, a even wider screen could work, or maybe some smaller rally mirrors you can tuck inn to the handlebars. For now, it is not a problem, but It's to early to tell. Need to take it on some proper long trips to conclude. Haha... I have not tried the seat you are referring to, but I take your word for it 🤣 The CP2 engine is a really great surprise. They have done something incredible with this engine. Hahaha.... no rattles to hide 🙈 Still blown away by the many issues mate. So glad it was sorted for you. Cheers 👏🏻
Glad you liked it mate, and congrats on your new bike. Hope you will get it mid July, they are talking about some delays here in Norway 🙈 I have some TKC80's on backorder as well, with some mitas tires I want to test. 👏🏻
A very comprehensive review. I'm back in the market after a big issue with my Honda's so-called bulletproof DCT. Was seriously considering the 890R, which, in stock form, I think smokes the T7 in every way...except one. Reliability. Over here in the "new country," you often find yourself very far away from help. Last weekend I was 60 km out of cell range and no one but the bears, when my DCT started acting up. Reliability is not negotiable around here, so I'm super interested in the T7. Really wish the World Rally was available here, damn - what a beautiful bike, almost, almost makes me want to fly over there to buy one and fly it home. Yamaha, so far, has not brought it here. But I can modify a regular T7 with a fuel cell, suspension upgrades, heated grips etc. etc. The T7 looks like a very capable rock-solid machine.
Thank you Sir 👏🏻 Well, that is a scary thought. Damn, get stranded like that is no joke, and nothing to just "hike" out from. The 890 is an incredible machine in so many ways. But for me, a little bit overpowered for what I really need it for. And as you say, the reliability is absolutely mind-blowing poor on these bikes. The World Raid was that little extra I wanted from this bike to make it my own, but today, with so many people making great stuff to the original T7. Would take that any day of week if the World Raid was not available here.
Happy to see another tall rider. I would like to have a taller seat and I'm waiting for my Givi touring screen. Though I'm 7cm shorter than you I found the screen on the standard T7 to be to short. Lots of wind noise. Skål från Sverige!
Thank you Tommy... You my find the new windscreen on the World Raid tall enough then. I would love to try a rally seat on this as well... just a tad more padding and a cm more dont hurt I think. could be a issue for some, reaching the ground 🙈
Great initial review. I really want this bike (I currently have both the Super Tenere and a WR250R) but I think it's going to be some time until I can switch. Looking forward to your adventures on the new Yamaha!
Owned for 1 year. Just 3 cons: rear brake efficiency (honest work but not eccellent), inaccurate gear (specially at warm engine) and missing of 10 additional HP for on road tours. All the rest is simply SUPER ! From range to rideability.
The break get's better with the camel adv upgrade. Don't have the gear issue? never heard of that to be honest? I can agree on the HP on road tours, would love to have that little extra spark on some twisty roads. 👏🏻
Thank you Uncle 🤩👏🏻 Yeah, I think this is some add-ons I just can't be without for my usage. And the sound is half the bike. There is just something childish with a proper sounding bike (for me) 🤌🏻
what a wonderful walk round and sharing of opinion - i love that you do not claim superiority in areas such as damping etc - total beauty of a machine too 🙂
Thank you mate, really glad you liked it. There are so many strong opinions out there about everything that has to do with motorcycle. I'm not an expert on any, I just try to share my humble views on what I like and what I don't like. Yes, sometimes I get a little bit eager, but I try too keep everything as objective as possible. Cheers 👏🏻
Hi Mate not sure if u said but how tall are you ? I rode the Ducati DessertX and the wind noise was so bad , really put me off even though I loved the bike. I'm 6ft exactly. Not keen on the KTM , Triumph Tiger Rally pro maybe but a bit boring , so Ducati or Yamaha ? Thanks
@@tshansen Thanks! Quite a bit taller than me then dude! The wind noise may be more comfortable then. I need to get a test ride. Quality channel keep it up 🙂
@@mikealls8938 Yeah, Small adjustment can make such a huge difference! I Get the wind in a way thet it is not a problem! But feel you pain with this! So many struggle. Will continue to make more content, Thank you for enjoying it! Cheers

Yes i kan make a video about this… the easy explanation is that if you want to top up your tank, you need to fill in both, the two tanks are connected when the ignition is on. But when you turn of power it will not self regulate.
Sometimes i want to buy a whole new bike myself, but the fact that since 1 May i have allready done 17 000km just in Norway scares me hehe. I don't know if i can handle spending so much money on services to hold guarantee :( Tenere would be my choice if i would ride alone, but riding 2up on Tenere the whole time could be.. tough :D Great bike tho! Congrats Thomas that You are really happy about it!
Damn, that is some serious milage mate 👏🏻 I would not choose the T7 if I was riding a lot with passenger. I would choose something bigger and more suitable. Thank you and yes, this bike makes me really happy 🔥
Awesome review dear sir! Could you or anyone else tell me what the controls on the left handlebar are for? The one that says reset and the two gray ones above and under the reset button? Its been driving me crazy I cant seem to find it anywhere!
Thank you mate, that are the control for the one theme in the display! You can choose, street,Explorer and one more i can’t remember the name of. This has like a roadbook function where you can set timers and change between them
@@tshansen thnx for the reply! I am quite sure that the other theme is Raid, I just didn't know it was for the themes but that makes sense with the reset button and all 👍🏻 I am about to tell the dealership that me and my brother are both buying the Midnight Black version of the World Raid 😎😎 I'm 35 and exited like a little boy, this is my first brand new bike ever!
I don’t have that no, but i could probably manage to make it for those who are interested. Nothing is available for the World Raid yet, so all parts on my bike is for the regular Tenere 700. Most of them fit’s the World Raid.
Just a reflection about your comment regarding the brakes on the 790 Thomas, I can relate to what you describe even on my 1290. Though it's important to mention that it's not KTM who produce the brakes on the bikes - it's Brembo ;)
As usual an excellent video. I have a standard T7 and I’m thinking of an exhaust change. I went to Black Widow’s web site and they have dozens of exhausts for the T7, if you don’t mind me asking, which version did you buy?
Thank you mate 🤩 I know they have a bunch of exhaust, I bought my pipe from a local guy here in Norway, but I checked up the part number and it is the same as this one: www.blackwidowexhausts.co.uk/xt700-tenere-2021-2022-exhaust-silencer-kit-300mm-hexagonal-brushed-stainless-45815-p.asp

I'm scripting something like this, but I have not got time to shoot the footage yet. Been a really busy month for me. But I'm back at it really soon 🙏🏻
Hello, congrats from Italy! Mine will be delivered this week. I have a couple of burning questions. Is the headlight protection the one from yamaha standard t700? My dealer tells me that the headlight for the wr has a different part number from the one in the standard, so he is not sure if the protection for the std will fit also the wr. I do also have the mosko nomad: do the forward attach interfere with the ohlins steering damper? For baseplate I ordered heavy duty from yamaha since aftermarket are not yet available. I also plan to transform to tubeless and then mount the dunlop trailmax mission which are reported to be a good half and half solution. Enjoy the bike!!
Hello mate, and congrats on ordering your new bike. Hope you get it as planed and there is now delays! This is the standard T700 headlight protector that is mounted yes. It was a little bit tight fit, but it works like a charm. The Mosko Moto nomad bag does not interfere with the steering damper. If you see my other video, where I riding it in. you can see me attaching the tankbag to the bike. th-cam.com/video/Ijkl0HIW8uw/w-d-xo.html Maybe this can give you an idea of how it will fit your bike. I have not yet tried the dunlop tires, but I will one day. Enjoy your new bike as well mate. Stay safe 🔥 Cheers
Hi Thomas. Just bought me a T7 and are super satisfied. Down side is that my internet shopping increasing big way as there are so much goodies to upgrade the bike with. About your luggage rack - Perun. Do you recommend the side racks when using soft luggage. Just ordered the Kriega saddle bags (18 litres) and will for sure order the top luggage rack but not sure about the need for side racks. Really appreciate you professional and honest videos. Please continue the good work. Understand how much you sacrifice of your own experience due to all the interruptions when arranging the perfect photo shootings and droone filming.
Hello Johan, and congratulations on the new bike 👏🏻 Glad you are happy with it. If I'm not mistaking, the kriega comes with an own base? I'm not sure if you need the side rack for that setup, the two setups I have had, Mosko Moto and Enduristan, I highly recommend the side rack as well. I will continue to produce videos, I feel like I just started and having so much fun making them. So no plan on quitting anytime soon 🔥 Cheers

I agree that the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR is very good on tarmac but not as convincing on gravel roads. Curious to know what tires will you put on when the Pirellis are worn out?
So it's not just me then? It feels really weird on gravel. Not the confident feeling I get from the tkc80. I will be putting on a Tkc80 front tire, and I will probably mix between mitas e-07+ and mitas e-09 rear. That is a really great combination for my riding. Cheers
I put tkc80 on mine after 300 miles, had 3 sets of them and went to the mitas e13 and e09 for winter. tkc80 is a good tyre for the t7 all round use. even a tkc70 rocks on the back would be good for more road work.
Hi Thomas, hope you are keeping well. I have recently tried the world raid, and wanted to get your opinion on how hot the knee grips on the fuel tank get? I estimate about 40°c. And also do you find the clutch cover digs into your shin? As I found this a little uncomfortable. Overall it is a stunning bike! All the best my friend! Ben 🇬🇧
I have never touch the knee grip pads to be honest, so i don’t know! Need to check that tomorrow! I don’t feel the clutch cover at all, i did feel it a little on the original T7, but not here! Maybe how i position my legs? Cheers Ben 🤩🔥

How does the mosko moto nomax bag work for you on the World Raid?I am considering that bag but I am not sure of different aspects: (1) can it take a 14 inch laptop? (2) can one access the fuel caps properly? (3) Does the steering damper get in the way? Thank you!
Hello sir. The nomax tank bag fits really well on the world raid, No, you have to detach it in the top to get reach both fuel caps (easy job) It will not fit my 14 inch MacBook pro, just a little too big. It does not get in the way of the steering damper at all.

Hi Thomas, I have a question which is not covered in this video: the cooling of the T7. Now is summer, is the T7 cooling is good enough in this hot weather in slow speeds? Am i remember correctly, you owned a 690 too? Have you ever problem whith the cooling of the 690? (for the comperison)
Good question mate.... I have noticed the fan kicking in a couple of times on the T7, but have not had any issues with the heating yet. But keep in mind, I have not been stuck in the forrest or in muddy conditions over longer time. So I need to get back to you on this at a later time. Yes I did own the 690, I did not have heating issues on that bike either, helped a lot with a slip on exhaust. But I was much more careful on the 690 related to heat.
@@BladeRicsi I remember I had a booster plug on my 690, that helped with some. I remember I had to mount a temp reader high up where the air intake are behind the plastic cover on the side.
I am interested in that slip on exhaust for my normal T7 It sounds good? You need remaping the engine? The weight is less than the original? Some rust in time? Thanks
Hello mate, the sound is amazing, no remapping needed and yes there is a weight loss, but i don’t remember how much. Probably the same as any other slip on pipe. The original one is quite heavy. No rust after 10.000km

So Thomas, I’m thinking about a KTM and I just wondered what your thoughts would be…………. 🤣 the CP2 engine is a peach, so torquey and smooth compared to the KTM engine and it doesn’t really matter what gear your in, it will just get on with it. Sorry to see you dropped it, at least you’ve got that over and done with.
dont buy KTM my Duke thorwing black smokes from exhaust at just 14K Kilomters. engine oil also leaks from engine head. if i were you i would never go for Europen motorcycles.
@@r-max4156 only joking, I know only to well your and Thomas’s experiences with the KTM products unfortunately. The T7 isn’t the best bike in its class, but it is very good and pretty dam reliable, I like reliable.
I would love to have the colour TFT on mine. Watched Nomad Sweden’s last video, after seeing how bad his frame looked I ordered a pair of Acerbis X Grip frame protectors to stop my boots taking the paint off, a worthwhile investment.
Yeah, this is a small but really important upgrade in my opinion. It looks really good. Yeah, I saw that video my self. I will look out for a set of them my self. Better safe than sorry 🔥
@@tshansen only about 40€, I just fitted Piviot Pegs too but noticed the World Raid bikes in my Yamaha dealer have better foot rests than the standard T7. All the bodywork bolts are T30 on the standard bike.
@@bryansuperduke1290r That is a small price to pay to protect the frame. I can't find them anywhere here in Norway, so I need to find them online. Yeah, the footpegs are quite nice on the World Raid.
A very interesting video. I've had my World Raid for a couple of weeks and like the look of the Daytona grips you have. Did you connect them to the built-in Tenere harness, and if so which connector did you use on the bike? +1 for the Black Widow exhaust, I've got one fitted and like it a lot.
Thank you mate. Well, I bought the Daytona grips from my local dealer, and they had it fitted to the bike on the 1000 service. So I don't know where they attached it. They also routed the wire for my GPS in the same wire or plug as far as I know. The black widdow exhaust sounds amazing on this bike. Cheers
Jeg kjøpte selve lyddemperen fra Backcountrymc her i Norge. Men det var uten link pipe, som jeg måtte bestille utenom fra BlackWiddow direkte. Den havnet på rundt 1000,- om jeg ikke husker feil.
@@tshansen interesting! Thanks for your reply. I fear I would miss the blipper dearly. Cruise control on the other hand doesn't see too much use. Mostly on the Autobahn or boring stretches of rather straight roads, which I try to avoid whenever possible :D I wish you lots of fun with the new bike!
The speed limits in Norway are crazy and when riding into minor towns etc, it is Nice to just flip on the cruise control and don’t have to check the speedo every 5 sec 🙈🤩
Hi Nice video, still happy with your world raid? I was looking for a tank bag for the world raid but I was hesitating to have one ( because double tank, steer damping). What do you think of the nomax on the tenere? I saw that you had mosko R80, heat shield is necessary? Maybe I ll take de gnome. Thank you in advance for your feedback
Hello mate. I'm still really happy with my World Raid and have no plans on changing it anytime soon. I have the Nomad tank bag myself, now called the nomax (for 4 years) and this year I decided to upgrade to the newest Nomax because I need more room to drone and camera equipment. This is the perfect tank bag for me, but I need a lot of room in it. No problem with the dual tank and steering damper. Not in the way. Yes, with the Reckless 80 I would advise you to use a heat shield. Not on normal tarmac rides, but on heavy gravel it will bump around and touch the exhaust.
Perfect thank you Thomas for your quick answer. I would prefer take a big tank bag but riding offroad with it, I'm affraid it will hamper. Enjoy your rides.
Thank you Dean… well, my plan is to go much further, but because of my family life, work and everything else that goes on in my life, to long motorcycle travel is not the easiest (yet) but I hope i can make a living out of this in the future (video and client work) so my dream is to live on the road. Cheers, glad to have you onboard mate.
Suggestion: Personally I would take your suspension comments with a grain of salt. It appears you have not touched the clickers or set the sag. I could tell by your words and demonstration. I would bet once properly set up that the world raid would be extremely close if not equal to the KTM. Once those are set up for your weight and riding style the suspension feel will be vastly improved. It seems way too early if not irrelevant to make comparisons to the KTM or others until yours is sorted. Do you agree? That being said, the production quality and continent of your videos is top notch, keep them coming.
I have touch the clickers, i have tried to set it up! I run with the standard settings, then i tried the same setup as nomad sweden did in his video, and adjustet to my liking! I have not set the correct sag with luggage yet, so take it for what it’s worth! But it is not equal to the KTM. Guess how i know 😉😇
My apologies, you didn’t indicate that you had tried adjusting. KTM‘s do have great suspension but they need tweaking and setting as well. KYBs are top notch. Yours is the first negative that I have heard regarding the suspension in 20+ videos and reviews. Hopefully you can get that sorted out and report back to us as to what you did and what needed fixing.
@@stevebiron3036 I see now that I edited that out of the video, I don't state that the suspension is bad. I just state that I found the suspension on the KTM better. And yes, I had to adjust that as well... Remember I'm a tall guy, weigh in at 105kg and ride a lot with my reckless 80 setup. I need the suspension to be on point. And yes, the KYB is great suspension, but I have not tweaked it and tested it enough to conclude. And I'm no suspension guy, so I don't know all about the things and parts going on inside the cartridges. Every video I have seen. they compare it to the standard T7, that is a great improvement to the original suspension. Not once have I heard the compare it to KTM, Rally Raid or other suspensions 😉
Hey Thomas - Dave Logan from Adv Spec replied back to me that they dont have a bashplate that fits the T7 WR edition..so I am wondering how you managed to bring these two gorgeous objects together to fit with each other :-D Can you pls gimme an ideo of how you did that or if there was any show stopper to do so ? Thanks in advance..
The Euro5 bashplate has a little nudge that hits the coolant tank, so you need to put on a 3mm washer on both holes in the bashplate behind the front wheel. You need to put them on the backside so it makes the bashplate stand out from the frame a little more. Or you can just use a plyer and bend the side so it won't rest on the coolant tank. there is just a couple of mm you need to adjust it. Hope that gives you a better answer to the question.
@@tshansen Wohoow...thx for your swift reply...I will feed that back to Dave and see if there is anything they can do to it...but at least for me this is a "good to go" for it...yea 😀
Australia is still waiting. Apparently, early next year. Yeah, great, buy this years model next year. Hope it’s priced accordingly. 2022 year bike in 2023. Thanks, Yamaha!
Well.... the exhaust is 1 bolt and two exhaust clamps. Not much making a video about 🙈 the tail tidy is already done, so I won't be touching that again in a while. So, I'm sorry 😇
Very Nice review!! Surprised to hear some of the complains you had on the 790, I mostly just heard about the display, water damage and the poor low rom tourq (slow speed). I love the T7, low speed is so easy, almost do not to slip the clutch at all. Btw the torx bolts you can use hex on, no problem as they aren’t that torqued down 😊, so no need to have torx, just use hex or 8mm socket
Thank you Marcus 🤩 I had a 10 min part of this video (at the end) I edited out, where I talked about why I changed my 790. I found out It was better to make a separate video about this. The 790 has so many small issues, and the growing numbers of pictures I get sent by rear shocks that leak, bolts on the rear shock that cracks. The camshaft issues and not to mention how hard it is to get extra parts these days. No more KTM for me (for a while) I really enjoy the WR in slow speed as well.... I struggle a little bit with the jerky throttle, or have a hard time getting used to it. So I look drunk when I'm riding technical stuff some times 🤣🙈
I love the Rallye mode on the 790; it is awesome. Also, the suspension, which is the same as on my 350 EXC-F, is excellent. One of my friend's might get a Tenere but for sure he will then get a suspension upgrade. You bought yourself a nice bike, Thomas!
Great review, confirmed what I have heard over and over about the KTMs. Did you do a weight comparison on the stock muffler vs the Blackwidow (300mm?).
Thank you mate, and I have heard most of those stories my self about KTM, I just had to experience them for my self before I could believe it. Sorry, I did not weigh the exhaust. But the can was a couple of kg lighter for sure.
@@tshansen I would think so, just between that and changing to a Lithium battery you can save 5kg! You did convince me to keep the crash bars on the T7 i'm configuring though.. 😉
As always : does the bike make you smile ? No ? Get rid of it. Yes ? It’s a keeper. The biggest grin on my face I had with my 30 year old GS. She just fits.
That is probably the best way to put it... if it makes you want to go out and ride, and you get a smile on the face when you put you leg over it... it is correct for you 👏🏻 Cheers

Thank you, and I totally agree 🤩
Thanks for your first 1000 km impressions 😀 I’ve only 150 km with mine, but it seems I have same feelings as yours. I usually ride a GS 1250 every day, The first few kilometres seemed a little strange to me 😀 as i was on a real racing bike. So much pleasure !

Probably the best review that I have seen. Answered plenty of questions. I'm now ready to book a test ride. Thanks 👍
Thank you Andy, appreciate that. And so glad you got your questions answered. Cheers
As usual, an excellent video from Thomas. Thank you.
Thank you Mark, glad to hear I keep a solid flow of high value content. I will try to set the bar a little bit higher this year as well 😉 Cheers
Hell yes i’m interested in those settings! I would love for you to share them with me. Send me a Mail or a message ? 👏🏻🔥

My exact same feelings when trying out the original vs the World Raid. 👏🏻
Great vlog mate. Glad it suits you the way you want.
Thank you sir... 🤩

'Great review, is there not enough adjustment in the rear brake pedal to sort it? Nice deep sound from the Black Widow. Is that de-Cat or with Cat?
Cheers 👏🏻
Sweet production, useful insights. Nice review mate.

Very good review, thanks! I'm getting the bike middle of July! Will change the tyres to Tkc80...
Fab review Thomas. Lots of relevant info on there and put together perfectly 👌🏼
Thank you mate 🤩 I'm not used to making these kinds of video, so I had a hard time putting it all together. Hope it was good. Cheers ☺️

Owned for 1 year. Just 3 cons: rear brake efficiency (honest work but not eccellent), inaccurate gear (specially at warm engine) and missing of 10 additional HP for on road tours. All the rest is simply SUPER ! From range to rideability.

Can you maybe do video on how the dual tank works. I'm very confused about it. Does it have 2 separate compartments? If not, why 2 caps?
Yes i kan make a video about this… the easy explanation is that if you want to top up your tank, you need to fill in both, the two tanks are connected when the ignition is on. But when you turn of power it will not self regulate.
Sometimes i want to buy a whole new bike myself, but the fact that since 1 May i have allready done 17 000km just in Norway scares me hehe.
Nope, brembo is not making the brakes on the 790/890 😉 and why is KTM the only Brand that struggles with this for so many years and don’t adress it?
As usual an excellent video. I have a standard T7 and I’m thinking of an exhaust change. I went to Black Widow’s web site and they have dozens of exhausts for the T7, if you don’t mind me asking, which version did you buy?

Er Fuel mappingen lik på world raid og vanlig tenere? At den er litt "jerky" når du vrir på gassen?
Vet ikke om det er mapping eller selve gass rullen i seg selv, men den er litt nykkete ja
I just bought 1 T7 5 days ago..just waiting her to arrive... i live on a island...and i can say it s even hard to sleep ...j just want to put my hands on theT7!!!!😅 i ride bikes since my 14 years old... and i was more for road bikes...Now i have 44 and want a more relaxed and capacity to go of road ....i had an r6..suzukigsxr 600...my first bike was a scooter and than i went to yamaha 125 dt and next a Honda xr600....and for my experience ...specially in road bikes ... suzuki gsxr6 was very special and so much fun to ride!!! All the suzuki models i have driven... i always enjoy... that why i would love to see suzuki doing an adv bike ...in my opinion the ones they have are not very pretty to the eyes...i would love to have a suzuki adv bike.. let s see if they make a surprise in design! Stay safe
Congrats on the new bike mate… I can really understand how you feel right now. Suzuki have a adventure bike, but it is really big and heavy
Looks great that Thomas should serve you well mate 👍🏻
Thank you, and yes... I really hope so 🤩
Not been on a T 7 but have had a MT 07 so I know the engine is sweet
So Thomas, I’m thinking about a KTM and I just wondered what your thoughts would be…………. 🤣 the CP2 engine is a peach, so torquey and smooth compared to the KTM engine and it doesn’t really matter what gear your in, it will just get on with it. Sorry to see you dropped it, at least you’ve got that over and done with.
Hahahaha…. Go right ahead mate! It is probably the best thing you can do this year 🤣🤣🤣 i have no trust in the KTM anymore
dont buy KTM my Duke thorwing black smokes from exhaust at just 14K Kilomters. engine oil also leaks from engine head. if i were you i would never go for Europen motorcycles.
@@r-max4156 only joking, I know only to well your and Thomas’s experiences with the KTM products unfortunately. The T7 isn’t the best bike in its class, but it is very good and pretty dam reliable, I like reliable.
@@hovishill2779 turag 660 has all the features T7 misses like cruise control, tubeless alloys from factory. And the problem is reliability 😁
@@tshansen Dirtbike Express and Rebel Exports have them.
Thank you
A very interesting video.
Cheers
Hei!
Great video as usual! Do you miss the quickshifter (up/down)?
Hello Max, no I dont miss the quick shifter at all... but I really miss the cruise control 🙈
Exelent video kompis ☕
Takk takk 🤩☕️
@@tshansen bare hyggelig..
Great video and nice setup. Pretty sure this will give you a lot pleasure without the worry that it will fall apart (like a KTM).😜🙌
Thank you Kalle 👌🏻 Yeah, I hope I can rest my mind for a while now with this bike. Cheers 😉
Hi
Nice video, still happy with your world raid?
Enjoy your rides.
with fuel tank is easy to get up the bike???? is difrend from xtz 750??can compare?
I dont find this bike to be any more trouble to get up than any other bike I have owned.
you should travel farther from Norway. Maybe Asia. Vlog it. You have a very impressive cinematography skills. Nice work. New subscriber here.
Thanks
You are welcome mate 👏🏻
Suggestion:
Personally I would take your suspension comments with a grain of salt.
@@Der_Meikel You are welcome mate. Say hello to Dave from me. Cheers
Australia is still waiting. Apparently, early next year. Yeah, great, buy this years model next year. Hope it’s priced accordingly. 2022 year bike in 2023. Thanks, Yamaha!
Still waiting 🙈 damn, i feel for you brother 👍🏻 i guess they run up the price since it is the only ones available 🤔
@@LearnMore2024-g9v What? How much more is that compared to the original T7?
@@LearnMore2024-g9v Here in Norway the T7 is 145K and the World Raid is 170K
I have the same bike and I love it. I'm 178cm tall and it's quite challenging for me on gravel roads but I got used to it.
I bet it can be a challange if you are that short on this bike yes.
I'm 178, so I've ordered the 20 reducer and that should work.
@@wild_yeti so far, I'm doing well with the standard suspension height. At some point there will be lowering seat for the WR.
Mate,
Which exhaust system did you fit to the world raid.
Mark
I have the exhaust from BlackWiddow in UK
do you travel from road for many kilometres ??? i want this bike to travel the world i know only that the seat is bad alla the other is perfect
I have ridden mine for 25.000km now. This is probably the most reliable bike on the market today. The seat is easy to change or upgrade. 🙌🏻
@@tshansen Τy i have one old vstrom 650 good bike buy i love the word rally edition!
Exhaust and tail tidy install video
Well.... the exhaust is 1 bolt and two exhaust clamps.
No more KTM for me (for a while)
I really enjoy the WR in slow speed as well.... I struggle a little bit with the jerky throttle, or have a hard time getting used to it. So I look drunk when I'm riding technical stuff some times 🤣🙈
@@tshansen hehe 😜.
Soon you do Enduro runs like I do 🥳
@@everythingtenere i wish, problem is i need to go east to Get to proper areas where we can do enduro stuff 😇
I love the Rallye mode on the 790; it is awesome. Also, the suspension, which is the same as on my 350 EXC-F, is excellent. One of my friend's might get a Tenere but for sure he will then get a suspension upgrade. You bought yourself a nice bike, Thomas!
@@marcel7161 he should het RallyRaid as i have or Tractive (same same)
What version of the Daytona heated grips did you get?
I have no idea Bryan... I ordered them with the 1000km service at my dealer. But I could probably manage to find that out for you.
Awesome review! I also have a world raid (also 1000km on the clock) and I also consider the seat uncomfortable.
Congrats on your new World Raid mate. I'm just not used to it yet, I will give it some more milage before I consider changing it.
@@gradocchio hahaha! Yeah, a little battle scar to the plastic is not that bad 😉🙈😇
