- Being I just purchased these tripods with my own money, this is more of a preview than a full review. So far they seem to be just what I was looking for! Besides a few garage video’s I’ve done, this is my first video from my new mini studio. Links below are affiliate links, that cost you nothing, but help support the channel.
Below are inks to the tripods previewed.

My ULANZI MT-44 just arrived today. My GoPro12 has 1/4 20 thread hole on the bottom so I was hoping it would natively mount on to the ULANZI MT-44. And it does... But like you, I have the Media Mod on mine which causes it to be recessed a but too far for the built in screw of the ULANZI MT-44 to reach the hole. I need to order either an extender or one of those adapters like you used in the video. Happy filming!
You'll like the MT-44, nice lightweight setup for a action camera. I've also been using the MT-08 quite a bit. You can find them on sale for around 15 bucks. Thanks for watching!
That was a good video explanation. I was wondering which one to get and you answered my question. Thank you.
Awesome, I'm glad it helped!
black tripod on a black desk and a black background.....good job.
You're right. How dumb of me! Thanks for pointing that out.
question. when you connect the gopro, is it possible to just flip out the fist part of the phone holder (where the cold shoe is) and attach a light onto the cold show while still having the gopro attached? I hope so!
I'm a bit confused by the question, sorry. If we are talking about the MT-44 with built in phone holder, that one does not have a cold shoe. The only tripod in this list with a cold shoe is the MT-47 (desk / vlogging tripod), but it has a Acra Swiss mount. Ulanzi makes the MT-70 tripod (which I have no experience with), that one has a phone holder + cold shoe for a light. Hope that helps. Maybe someone else can comment on this?
@@JeffsWay. Hi. At the 2.24 mark, you flip the end of the phone mount and it looks like it's a cold shoe? Could a light be fitted to that, while the camera is also attached? In my case, i want to use the dji osmo pocket 3 but also want a light attached when i'm filming in low light or at night. Hope this is clearer than my last dumb question 🤣
@@whatsnottohike My apologies, I misunderstood. You are correct. The Ulanzi phone mount does have a cold shoe mount on one side, so you can rotate the mount around to put a light or microphone on the cold shoe. Good eye, I probably should have mentioned that in the video!
Can you tighten the sections when it's extended?
They are friction, and this was a concern for me at first because I thought they are going to wear out. So far his hasn't been the case. Thanks for watching!
thank you so much for this!
@@uretadante Of coarse! Thanks for watching.

Thank you for your video.
Can you please tell me how wide a smartphone it can accept on mt-44? Τhanks.
It extends from 57.5mm to 92mm by my measurement. Hope that helps!
Thank you@@JeffsWay.
