Wow! This made me cry. I’ve been praying for a person who is very dear to me to get saved. Sometimes it is hard because I think we tend to want it to happen now or we even get discourage, however I think about how my mother told me that she would pray for me to come to our Lord and by God’s grace and mercy I did in the summer of 2020. I’m not entirely sure how long she has prayed but I’m sure it’s been a while since when I was young (6th grade) I remember her always telling me about Jesus. I’m a senior in High School now. I see how great God is and amazed on how He works, which gives me hope and your story as well that one day the heavens will rejoice when my dear friend gets saved and I hope I can rejoice as well when and if I find out. Hi, when I was applying for a jobs I would try my best but then tell myself that “rejection is God’s protection” it was a bit hard since I got rejected from like two jobs that I wanted. But by the end of January, I was able to find a job that finally accepted me and hired me on the spot. And I know I’ll like working there and it pays great. I say pray to God and keep applying and don’t get discouraged.
I am ashamed to admit I've likely shown less faith than most. My negative upbringing had left me in a hugely negative state for most of my life. The biggest battle for me was to trust God every day since being saved.
Family please pray for me, I have lupus and I fell very hard and bruised my lung and I need God to heal me, please pray for my health and over my lungs !! ♡♡ God bless all of you in Jesus's mighty name 🙏

Thanks for explaining more about how God answers our prayers since it seems arguing with His "No" could be seen as rebellious in certain doctrinal circles. The stories the gentile woman pleading with Jesus after He denied her and of Abraham bargaining with God over Sodom and Gomorrah, plus Jacob wrestling with God and being blessed as the father of the 12 tribes of Israel proves God wants us to sometimes respectfully contend with Him as His friends and children not just servants "Who do not know what their Master is doing." #5 is really important too and I'll meditate on it. ✝️🙏🏽☀️
From June - October 2020 I was experiencing both the work and sinful relationship scenarios. God wanted me to rest and I took on another job and it was the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life. The relationship was counterfeit and did not edify God, but I stayed as to not be "judgmental" because he was a church guy (as opposed to what my partner should be - a man of God). This started and ended at the same time. Although I did it in good faith, it was disobedience to God as He just wanted me to wait and trust in Him.
So, in order for my prayer for a future husband to be answered, I just have to let my desire for one, die. Well, that's what I'm going to start doing from now on. Thank you, Mark! 😃
not totally, but sanctify yes. Keep developing into the person a godly spouse would desire, and find your ultimate joy in Christ, and then when the time comes, God will show you how to be active too :)

This is so totally related to today for me! I have somewhere to go tonight and other times on a volunteer basis! Its called OKC crisis nursery. Tonight is their youth church group.
I wouldn't say it needs to go away or "die", but it is helpful to fully accept the possibility of singleness if that is what God called you to, while still being fully honest with the Lord that you want to be married because that is a good desire he is pleased with. This mindset actually increases your readiness for marriage in my view :)

called OKC crisis nursery. Tonight is their youth church group.

Very timely 🙏 I must admit though, I seriously can’t imagine my desire for marriage dying!!!! 😬😬
I wouldn't say it needs to go away or "die", but it is helpful to fully accept the possibility of singleness if that is what God called you to, while still being fully honest with the Lord that you want to be married because that is a good desire he is pleased with. This mindset actually increases your readiness for marriage in my view :)
