I've been amazed by Greg since I first saw him supporting "The Grip" around 2002-2003ish. David Grissom is the truth. The guy puts in work building a whole dynamic world in every solo, and it was fun to watch this band behind him.
This song cries for some serious Soul, R&B diva’ing. I know that this is an instrumental group, but this jam is so lovely. IMHO the right vocals could be next level poo. Love the dynamics. Awesome grooves...and of the superlative tone stylings of Greg and crew. This music neeeds to be in front of more people
How much anmusision can be powerfulalsoshiny mind with heavy hands i'm talking about Grec koch himself man! !! !!!he is. realy awesome also org player &his son on drums they are incerideble indeed🎬🍃💕🌹👑🌟lovely🌟👈
KMT RULES! Amazing alone, but man they should do stints as a session group. Could totally hear them back A level vocal talent...hear it in my head every time I check a performance.
Ok, normally I don't have the patience for Koch's schtick, but I dug this one. Grissoms fine seems just do much more realized in comparison. Koch sounded great, but David's sounds is much more 3D, hifi, whatever. Great band, cool groove
All around...fantastic! Inspiring! But... was there a BASS PLAYER? Didn't show up on camera(?). Sorry- just tired of bass players on stages and (not) on videos everywhere getting short shrift!
@@rschwamb1 Thank you for clarifying that! I've been playing bass since 1966 and it has always irked me when bands are videoed and they usually just barely flash on the bassist then off to the singer! LOL! Makes it hard for a young bassist to learn any tricks via video or admire his favorite, though Paul McCartney inspired me to take up the bass and he got plenty of screen time!
I never thought I would say this but Grissom is as good or even better than Greg if that's even possible. And yes I get it's what better's chocolate or vanilla and we all know vanilla wins.🙃
David Grissom's sound, even when playing with Storyville seems to be infused with jazz flavor. I can hear the downtown mystique, twinkling city lights, and something happening where you need to be in his playing. I know - what am I smoking? I'm just saying the man plays with some MOJO. When he occasionally draws down on the Hendrix vibe, its more like VOODOO! 👍
My 2 cents. I like music that gets to the point. Love Satriani he has melody. Starts with melody and ends up with melody. This stuff of just wanking on guitars. The jam thing has life of its own, butI find it tedious
That was a cool jam. I'm really starting to get into David Grissom lately.
One of the Most Jazzy Blues pieces of Music...EVER..!
Was a pleasure to record these two! Check out David's album "Way down Deep", it's awesome.
Nice recording quality ... well done!
Nice work. This is epic.
two of my favorite (and different) guitarists around. Would have loved to been there. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for posting these great videos of Greg!! Wonderful sound quality and steady camera work. 🙏
Had to wait over 7 min. to hear from Grissom...let's share now, oh Great Gristlemaster...that seems unusual.

One of my favorite projects going right now. Sooo groovaliscious!
That was just lovely y’all....
Great Technique and Tone!
Two guitar masters...does it get any better than this?
Dylan does a great job with one stick. Well done.👏🏻
Grissom diggin' in and laying it back!
I LOVE ... when the drummer hits the cymbal ... ONE SINGLE EXCELLENT SMASH AT 1:50 !! ... GREAT !!
Can only imagine the low end that was coming out of that Koch signature amp
He could play on a solid state Crate... would be sounding awesome just asame ;-)
Wooooooaaaaaaaaaaah grooove
😎
Love this song.
Glorious!!!!!! Chilling!!!!!!

aint many that can make David work...two different men holding two totally diff guitars but both on it ....sweet....
Man, almost went to this but ended up not being able to. Thanks for the Video!
Just a huge sound. So full.
This is savage!
That is some soulful funky stuff!
😱 Just #@!£ing brilliant! So inspiring gents! Thank you! 👍
Wow!! That was smokin hot!!!🔥
Man, DG can sure channel a hot Roy Buchanan tele tone through that PRS humbucker. Perfect mixture of fat and bite.
Love fender amps but i prefer hearing David use his PRS amps..

Outstanding! ... 😎🥁🎸🎹
I fuckin love this band.
Fierce! 👍🎸
Mind = Blown
Koch and Grissom, just getting such great tone. Keys also, but could have been just a bit louder, I think.
That is some low down, dirty, dirty grisly goodness. Mkay
I love that Gregg is plugged directly into his amp
Yeah! Except for the pedal he kept stepping on.... Lol. There is very definitely delay in his signal path, also I definitely heard a univibe.

Holy Moses!
Killer!
The keyboard player at 1:28 :)
intro to the podcast
Where is that huge low end coming from?
Holy S 🙏
I got an idea. Instead of two guitar players have two keyboard players. One on piano one on B3. Now that would sound huge
me likey !!!
CAN YOU DIG IT?!
damn damn good
when greg shushes dylan before grissom's solo it's as if he's saying "quiet dylan, we have a guest"
I can diggity dog dig it.
Welchz’s Grape

Toby the keyboard player does bass with his left hand !

Name of this tune?
Never mind. Finally found it. If someone was searching for it here you go: let's get sinister by Koch Marshall Trio
:)
Greg Koch on that guitar ya'll...
