    Very nice model. Well done. My only moan would be the triangle sign on the cab roof. This was only raised as you show, when towing a trailer. In normal use this would be flat against the roof. You can still see this in use on many vehicles in Germany today. But aprt from that small item, as I said, a great build.

      Firstly, my apologies for this late reply, but have been off the scene since I posted this video. Secondly, thank you, much appreciated, and for the heads-up regarding the triangle sign! Cheers : )

    Hi Martin I hope you ok mate, it’s been a while since I haven’t text you. Me and my family are on holiday in Florida for couple of weeks. I haven’t done any modelling at the moment, I’m just taking some time when I’m ready to build some models. Maybe one day. I got a new channel now, I still got my old channel, I’m just taking a break from old channel, so I’m using this channel at the moment, I have subscribe to your channel by the way. Nice to hear from you Martin. From Josh

I hope you had a great holiday in Florida with your family, mate! Florida is where I lived first when I came to America in November 1999.... I lived in Palm Beach for 7 years, such a beautiful place!
      Thanks for subscribing, and I just subscribed to this channel of yours, too! Take it easy, mate! Cheers 👍🙂🍺🍺

    Hey Martin! I know it’s been a while since you built this, but I have a question….did the matte varnish do anything to the pigments?

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Drew, I usually apply the pigments after the varnish, so those pigments will be affected by too much handling of the model. Although, that said, I'll dab the pigments on while the varnish is setting, so that some of the pigment will stick and remain in place. Cheers 👍🙂🥃🥃

    Hi Martin, another fantastic build. Brill tarp. Can i ask you for some advice? Is it ok to seal an acrylic colour with an enamel varnish ready for decals, weathering etc. Or is it best to keep with an acrylic varnish? Cheers Martin. Keep inspiring modellers like me.

    • @InternationalBritishModeler
      @InternationalBritishModeler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Len, much appreciated! In answer to your question: Yes, you can apply an enamel varnish onto acrylic paint, as long as you don't thin it with lacquer thinners, the lacquer will cause a reaction with the acrylic paint. If you do have to thin your enamel varnish, use odorless mineral spirits....the smallest amount required to get it to flow in your airbrush. That said.....I've never done it before, because I only use acrylics to prevent odors within the house....I work at the dining table. I also never have to thin my acrylic varnishes, they have always flowed nicely through my airbrush, straight from the bottle at 20 psi, using a #3 tip that has a 0.74mm orifice, and, they clean up easily with water. I use Windsor and Newton Galeria Acrylic Matt Varnish. Cheers : )

First time it's every happened...must have been a bad batch, or it was affected by the way it was stored...temperature, direct sunlight, excessive humidity?
