GOTDAMN RAMEN! always a treat watching u snipe! miss you on twitch! PS this is my personal YT haha too lazy to switch out my ign but i know you know me HAHA see you around man!
As someone who has militarytraining in urban warfare including a crash course on how snipers operate, one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is that you are way too close to windows. You don't want a wide view for the area, since that means that you can be seen from many places. You stick in the shadows at back of the room. The area you can cover is smaller, but you are WAY harder to spot and others won't see your muzzle flash or even worse barrel sticking out the window.
I'm no trained soldier, but I noticed that too. Also the position he took at 12:40. He has no cover from most angles and no concealment from them either. Someone coming up behind him could walk up that embankment and spot him immediately as well. It's a simply terrible position that he only thinks is good because he wasn't punished.
Snipers in real life can take advantage of ability to move things to get better shot, in tarkov it's rare they give you something to stand on to get good view downward out windows so unless he was only shooting across building he can't really help it
imean,, issa game. he’s using sniper-type fundamentals, but because this is a game - he’s able to have some leeway in terms of being able to respawn. So yes he may have some type of basic rules or training he’s not imitatiting, but it is a game. So don’t sit there and be cut because hes not following proper fundamentals of a sniper.
Tarkov punishes players who rush, as an example the movement system is very sloppy and inaccurate, and gun recoils are off the window, this gives a massive advantage to campers and becomes very punishing for those who move. Rushing breaking windows, doors, windshields and ... shooting while running or vaulting are all applicable in real life. Here is an example: th-cam.com/video/AkxzMs2iYtE/w-d-xo.html
I was glued to this video, the pacing, the premise, all of it just shows how you get better and better every video you make dude, a natural gift for storytelling - and the video with your brother? Simply beautiful.
@mr.electronx9036 lmao u will never hold the best positions like that not to mention playing tactical doesnt matter when we can see u with our thermal scopes lol
@@mr.electronx9036 Somehow still the playstyle of cod seems to be the most viable and fun. I got limited hours in a day, i literally dont have the time to crawl in the shadows for 30 minutes and call it "tactical". Ill just take an mp7 slap on a laser and press W and mouse 1
NOTICE: tarkov can be played slow/methodical without sitting in a bush the whole game. This sir, is exactly how I love to play this game. No matter my loadout, finding ways to catch my enemies by surprise, without sitting and waiting in a corner the whole raid. It makes the game a rush

Glad to hear this that you resonate with this type of gameplay! I'm the same, I've always been open about how much I enjoy the more survival feel/side of Tarkov.
Yeah, I think it's just that streamers have to push the heavy competitive side of gaming typically because their audience are kids and young adults, who generally have shorter attention spans and need constant excitement and action in order to be invested in things.
Game should be played however one wants to play it. If there is a"forced" way to play it, it's not a game anymore. play like this if you want. I prefer Leroy Jenkins style.
@@captainharlock3998 Yeah, but if too many people play "sweat mode" style then it makes it not fun for most other people, and eventually even some sweaty people will get burnt out and stop playing because they can't keep things up...then, the game dies.

Randomly got this video recommended. I do not play or enjoy FPS/shooter games but I did play a bunch of DayZ with friends back when it was still an Arma2 mod, and this was the kind of playstyle I would always gravitate towards. Get myself a sniper rifle and then find a good position while my friends went in to get the loot. There was even a couple of community servers for Sniper only gameplay which was an extremely fun challenge, trying to find and sneak up on or out-position other snipers. Really fun video!
I am always learning something from you and i love the fact you are also heeding ur own advice that you give to others: keep repositioning . I believe you are one of the best snipers (with bolts) in the entire asia server. another important tip iis to shoot out of the dephs of the room especially in tarkov where you stand out lik a sore thumb when standing right infront of a window
Ramen, you have grown to be one of my favorite content creators. You have consistently been putting out content thats past the "i see pixel, i shoot it, watch me world" ego race. One thing you do that isnt sniper like is stuff your barrel out the window. Snipers actually go really far back holding a very tight angle in windows. They stay there for hours getting a hand full of kills.
Hey Ramen! Quick tip after seeing the BSOD, KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION is a common error when your RAM either isn't sufficient enough to support tarkov, it could be the speed of it (in MHz) is too slow, or there's not enough. I'd recommend at least 16GBs of RAM and at least 3200MHz speed. You can also dedicate specific storage spaces to act as RAM (which is what I did and it worked for me), although I'm not sure how to do that off the top of my head. Hope this helps!
Awesome video as always homie! I love your sniping and playstyle it's always entertaining! Keep up the great creativity man! You have come a long way and I am so proud of you :D
I have ADHD so uninteresting videos really distract me and I eventually click off, however, I was hooked left right and center with this video. The thought that you could implement real life sniper tactics and gain an advantage over the others is mind-blowing. Great video for sure!
This had some tense moments. In fact there were a few moments that took me back to my time as a sniper. The only thing I would ask, which I think shows the biggest difference, is that when you're looking for "good sniper positions" you only think about the field of view. Now, somebody else has mentioned about having your back hug the back wall to hide in the shadows, the other thing I would mention is when we looked at a sniper position we worried about escape routes and then the field of view as after 1 or 2 shots you are fairly easy to locate. Shoot and move.
I really love this style of tarkov gameplay, more slow and tactical, clearing corners etc. Such a contrast when you look at streamers who jump around every corner abusing right hand peeks, the instant ads after sprinting etc. I mean sure that requires a lot of skill to do well but i feel like its not how tarkov is meant to be played. This tactical way of playing it seems much more fun to me and i love to see it ! Also the video with your brother was a great example of teamwork and that you dont need to be a god of movement to clap chads - trust, patience and good communication works out too :)
I absolutely agree. This is what tarkov is supposed to be like, as showcased by all bsg trailers/videos/books. Also, you can clearly see the "streamer" mindset when he was literally standing IN THE OPEN on the grocery store but these two dumbasses just went right by him, not clearing the area/nothing. Proper teamwork, proper military simulation works in tarkov 1000%
As a prior infantry guy who just watches Tarkov sometimes, I think you did an awesome job. You have certainly developed a very sniper-like attitude and did good homework. Good on you.

I actually hope Richard sees this gameplay in particular because everything here was played by his tactics. This shows how basically letting experts react on fictional games, sometimes help us improve in that game. Tarkov is a game that always kinda gets me in terms of awareness, you need to be extra careful playing Tarkov than any other FPS out there. PUBG is somewhat more doable than Tarkov because you can build much more distance when sniping most of the time, but I do think these tactics can be wisely implanted in PUBG as well.
That shot on the back of that scav player head in the beginning was amazing! Not because it was difficult, but because of the strategy that put you in a easy shot position! You rock man!
Honestly really affirming to me as a new player to see you have success with a similar playstyle to me. I've been struggling, though I'm only 50 infils deep. But sniping in this game is such a thrill, and the natural tension is the best part of it. Charging corners, lobbing nades constantly, mulching legs none of it feels as satisfying as proper sniping.
I play any kind of tactical game like a real life _something._ Exactly what depends on the game. In any particularly realistic game, it's incredibly fun. I learnt to do this playing the PlayStation version of Hidden & Dangerous, which can't really be played otherwise. You're doing a very good job. I particularly note that you're _staying back from the openings you're shooting through._ Which is exactly correct, no real sniper is poking their rifle out a window!
In case you didn't know, currently going ADS in/out - as you know - makes noises. You can evade getting out of ADS by using the "blind fire top"-button. Gets you out of ADS, and doesn't produce the sound it makes. Hopefully it helps.
Title should have been "I Played Tarkov with some tips from a Real Life Sniper" Now, I've never played Escape from Tarkov and I've never been a sniper, but from my military experience I can assure you, setting aside, that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with how a military sniper operates. The sniper rifle is a specialized weapon for a specialized job, as is the sniper himself. He might or might not have a fireteam to support him, but he will always have a spotter with him, who also pulls security. Sometimes only the spotter is armed with a regular assault rifle or DMR, sometimes they both are. In the situations you are showing in the video, I can guarantee you that every sniper in the world would ditch their sniper rifle for a their standard issue rifle. Every encounter in the video seem to be sub 100 meters, while the average real life soldier is able to reliably hit targets at up to 300-400 meters with their standard issue rifle. There simply is no reason to bring a bolt action sniper rifle into a scenario like this. Your in-game load-out proves my point. You don't have a sniper rifle; you have a bolt action rifle with a regular infantry scope on top (looks to be something like 4x) - in comparison, real sniper scopes go up to 25x. In real life a sniper team would be placed on a vantage point (on top of a hill or building) and left there to rot essentially. For days they will eat, piss, shit and sleep all without moving an inch out of their position. 99% of their job is observation using their spotter scopes and thermals. If they are lucky, a target might present itself, in which case the spotter will get to work with the range finder and wind calculator, to provide the shooter with the exact adjustments he needs to make in order to hit the target. Without the spotter, he would have very little chance of hitting his target. If they get/have the clearance, they'll take the shot, and depending on the nature of the target, they'll either begin slowly withdrawing from their position, or they'll be left out there for another couple of days until they grow into the forest soil. There is no running around, no switching to a side arm, no quick scoping. Everything is incomprehensibly slow, meticulous and 99% of the time boring as hell. Being a sniper is not for the faint of heart. I'm not trying to bring you down or anything, you should play and enjoy the game however you want. My point is just that your title is very misleading, which can cause frustrations for people with actual military experience.
while being able of hitting a human torso at 300-400m with the service rifle is pretty easy, in most urban area, you wont see a full target, + you need to also identify the target, so, sniper rifle do sometime make sense for shorter ranges
@@elchartps3 Agreed. At 300-400 meters, snipers make a lot of sense in urban combat for the exact reasons you mention. But never under 100 meters as is being shown in the video.
I really love the concept of playing shooter games by real military tactics as it makes the gameplay more concious and usually boosts our survivability against people who are just playing the game in casual way. You executed the sniper tactics very well, that was really engaging to watch - many times my heart was pounding like yours haha. I rarely sub to gaming channels, but I would love to see more executions of military tactics in video games by you. You seem like a guy who keeps it cool when neccessary which feels inspiring to me, as I struggle sometimes with getting startled in such scenarios which leads me to very dumb decisions like spitting full auto on a guy or trying to hide instead of fight, so roleplaying a real sniper for me would be a very demanding task haha. Great video anyways, loved it! Keep up great work! 😁
@@Breadman-k6d Yeah because it's a action shooter game not a simulator. I am just saying about the approach to the game which is not even a simulator full of LARPing dudes which simulate "real military tactics" with each other.
So much screen tearing and a blue screen. Seems like you have really bad overclock settings or something. Turn that shit down or just turn it off, makes the video look terrible
Legit thought this was a big time youtuber in the US, but once you started the voiceover I could immediately tell the accent, kabayan! Amazing content man, new sub.
Thanks for the video. I've never played Tarkov, but this has been the most illuminating video I've seen as to what it's about. I also like the look of this urban setting more than the wilderness I generally see when I'm browsing streams. For a long time, I've preferred to play versus FPS games with a focus on survival, as if dying means something more than just pressing X to be dropped right back into the battle with full ammo and grenades, the equivalent of a super-reload. I do still tend to prefer games where I have respawning as an option, but I don't treat it like it's just a figure on a scoreboard. And it kind of keeps me honest as a sniper, since at least one person will always be aware of exactly where I was posted up when I shot them. Which means shoot and scoot, and setting up ambushes on people who come looking for payback.
Just found your channel pretty recently, but man... I'm absolutely loving what you put out bro. Please keep it up, high quality content from the gameplay to the commentary

Running across streets like a chicken knowing you're gonna get shot at, stuffing yourself of painkillers, answering calls in the middle of a fight, standing in open aeras without cover, I don't know if it's a sniper way but its been fun to watch !
Another very famous sniper rule is to only fire when you are certain you will hit your target. So stop taking potshots where you miss your target and slooooow down
I'm always amazed when someone has the patience to wait for a better shot. I will always fire immediately once something is in my crosshairs because I don't have the faith that they'll cooperate for a better shot.
King Alex (with the space and no "HD" in his name) makes a great series about how to play games like a real sniper. He teaches real tactics in a very easily understood way.

Haha nice Vid, loved it!
“I didn’t hear anything for minutes” meanwhile snipers irl waiting a week just to gather info😂
That shot on the back of that scav player head in the beginning was amazing! Not because it was difficult, but because of the strategy that put you in a easy shot position! You rock man!
Thanks man, means a lot!
i adopted the sniper play style a bit more this wipe and its been my most successful wipe so far, super fun to try. great video man!
This could very well be my favorite video of yours to date. Incredibly well done, the storytelling, pacing, editing, music was all top notch.
This is a really great video, man. It's cool to see how you applied real world tactics and how well they translated into the game. Well done, buddy.
Thank you for being the most analytical player&streamer in this game :) I'm learning things about this game that nobody explains except you
10/10. Now I'mma need Richard to react to this video in return and see what he thinks about it!
Also great video, I love all your videos
Thanks Hazel!! Would be a dream to have Richard react to my content!
died from you a couple times in tarkov favtory. literally gave you props by myself when you killed me. game sense is crazy
Your Tarkov content is easily my favourite, just so we’ll produced
I need the livestreams ramen i miss you! ;-;
❤
In case you didn't know, currently going ADS in/out - as you know - makes noises. You can evade getting out of ADS by using the "blind fire top"-button. Gets you out of ADS, and doesn't produce the sound it makes. Hopefully it helps.
Snipers hold up and wait. They aren't stalkers. This is not how a real sniper would play this game.
You are 40, please let him live.
@@wartstick I've not been 40 for a long time...a long time.
This is the way tactical shooters are meant to be played! Nice work.
Looks like the algorithm blessed you Ramen. I hope this means we’ll only get more videos like this!
"I played Tarkov like a real life sniper"
*pre-pains before runnning out into the streets*
rEaL lYfE sNaPpEr..
People always act like tactical gameplay isn't cool or fun, I wish more people treated tarkov like this instead of bum rushing every fight.
Title should have been "I Played Tarkov with some tips from a Real Life Sniper"
Now, I've never played Escape from Tarkov and I've never been a sniper, but from my military experience I can assure you, setting aside, that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with how a military sniper operates.
Nowhere near real military tactics, just letting you know. The game is realistic, but the play style in the video is just slow paced CoD.
"terrible" is a little harsh, but this is good advice
what battlestate should do is making it possible to do a slow weapon swap to mask the sound
6:28 "I have mastered the art of moving so slowly, I have become invisible"
Im burnt out on most tarkov content, but I was literally glued to this. good job
Legit thought this was a big time youtuber in the US, but once you started the voiceover I could immediately tell the accent, kabayan! Amazing content man, new sub.
"Do you think he's still inside that building?"
"Nah man, it's been almost 5 minutes. He ran as soon as he took the shot..."
awesome vid, 10:26 I was like "this guy knows how to peek". nice.
second time i clicked on your "sniper" vids to not feel like im watching a sniper experiance at all . good vid aside from that.
This was a badass video please make more of these i love this
Thanks for the video.
Amazing gameplay i loved it!!
6:19 thank you I can't count how many times I have checked my discord while watching a video to find out it was just what I was watching lol.
4:30 YOU LUCKY BAST**D! 🤣
Had your enemy earlier went after you, i can't imagine the frustation of reconnecting to the game to found out you're dead.
thats my experience when I dont get owned immediately by a hacker
sneaking around waiting for the perfect oppurtunity - and then miss the headshot
I really appreciate the *not your discord* at 6:20. You saved 30 seconds of my day. Godspeed
this is why I play tarkov 5+ years.. Im not a great sniper, but I move and relocate and feed off of others movements. Nice video
Sniper strats r crazy effective and that line that u dont wanna be in front of your enemies gun sticks so hard. A real good shooter will never even get shot at irl but everyone loves to tank n spank in this game.
Half-way in and I love the video already. Gg's. Really fun to watch, and the way you time the background music, sound effect, + you story tell, 10/10 mate. Ya earned a sub.
"basically, i've watched all that guy's sniper react videos and now am not less than a certified marine sniper assault team instructor killing machine."
So stop taking potshots where you miss your target and slooooow down
Great quality video. So annoying seeing soooo many videos like "Tarkov sucks now" popping up into my feed. It still provides a rush like no other
I'm always amazed when someone has the patience to wait for a better shot. I will always fire immediately once something is in my crosshairs because I don't have the faith that they'll cooperate for a better shot.
King Alex (with the space and no "HD" in his name) makes a great series about how to play games like a real sniper. He teaches real tactics in a very easily understood way.
I absolutly love that whenever you got a discord notification you added this short text on the botom. It's so helpfull thanks
You have no idea how much I appreciate that pop up that said "not your discord" I salute you for that. I also salute you for this ass clenching gameplay, I love it.
Now if only you remembered the sniper rule "One shot, one kill" ;). just kidding! this video was super fun to watch. congrats on the 1.7m views on it so far too
Ah, man. That final "Click of Death" was just frustrating. Still, that was such a fun display of survival instincts.
Tarkov my favorite hunting simulator with how I normally play lmao sks and some bp goes a long way with patience
I subscribed for the simple, "Not your discord!" edits. Good video man!
Nice patience @ 6:15
I almost exclusively play Woods with a DVL, and There have been countless times when I'm prone in the grass, and a herd of gigachad elephants LITERALLY walk right across me and all I do is SIMPLY NOTHING. I've even had people walk DIRECTLY into thinking i'm a rock... IT'S SICK!
More of this intense and entertaining Vids :) !
You make this game look really good, I hated the game but watching you play makes me want to play it. I got sick of emptying a clip into a player for them to turn around and shout me quicker than the speed of light.
This guy is playing streets with a sniper in the middle of a road meanwhile id be getting shot at by 8 different scavs
