@@hugotaylor6095 I agree it should have been Pocock in 2015, but Carter was quite good and I think they wanted to give him a fairytale wrap up to a brilliant carer by sending him out a world cup winner and world player of the year winner.
Pocock also played multiple world cup games in 2015 with a broken nose :O and he was still outstanding

I like McCaw more, and I think McCaw was a solid, versatile player and a good captain. But I definitely think Pocock is the greatest openside flanker.
I wonder how much better Pocock would have been if the 7 other forwards in the pack actually did stuff and he wasn't always on the backfoot scrapping with entire forward packs on his own.
