@995sean I have to agree with you on that. The last time Hooper and Pocock played with synergy was during the 2015 world cup.But that was a sight to see. Hooper leading the tackles to allow Pocock to contest the ruck.Australia easily had the best backrow combining Hooper+Pocock+Fardy.
It could easily be argued that playing Pocock out of position just to accommodate a very average Hooper at 7 (compared to Pocock) has shortened his career due to the bodily attrition of a natural 7 playing at 8. I know his knees have been bad for a while, but the demands of a modern international 8 must have played a role in his problems..

There is some appalling behaviour in rugby circles, both on and off the pitch, so people need to stop deluding themselves on that subject.

I wish I played more like David Pocock and not so much like a thug, always loved watching the strength and empathy in a tough era for Australian rugby. One of Australia’s great players to look up to for decades to come.
