      Thanks for uploading the video, that's called "Giubo" not Guibo (GIUnto BOschi) as the inventor was an Italian engineer😊

    The guibo itself has the relevant directional arrows already present. It's good to use a silver sharpie to make the arrows easier to find/read, but you made the arrows in the opposite direction. Although your arrows were opposite, you correctly kept with that method upon installing the new guibo, so all is well. Just wanted to point out the built-in arrows to others that newly find this video. Great video, too.

    Great vid! Just fyi, my 2016 LCI 328xdrive f30 did NOT have a flex disc at all. Different design. Confirmed this mused and with 2 mechanics.

    On my 2018 you also need 8mm and 10mm sockets for some of the shields.
    You also don’t need to remove the exhaust, hang it down and bend the heat shield down and out of the way.
    Finally, agree you should grab spare exhaust bolts. Or muscle off the rubber.

    Im at 96k miles. First started getting symptoms at around 90k miles but I threw it off to the new wheels I had gotten so never took a look at it driving around like that with multiple launches took its toll on this and also my center support bearing hoping getting both of these replaced helps mitigate the nasty vibration I get at 80ish mph when I have my lightweight wheels on.

    While accessing mine under an 09 328xi has me removing little more than a single fastener that I think is a 10 mm for the heat shield; It's going to make up for it by having every single fastener on the disc totally rusted. Makes me want to hang a bucket full of penetrant over the shaft for it to sit in for a day before I touch it with a wrench 😅

    What ate symptoms of a broken flex disk. Mine makes clunking sound underneath the car...

    • @FullBoltOnGarage
      @FullBoltOnGarage  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Man, I can't even express how much I appreciate these words. Much love!!
      So flex disc symptoms are usually vibrations at mud to high speed. If you hear clucking noises and it's coming from the rear of the car under rear seats, then it's your rear transfer case, unfortunately. I've seen this in a handful of cars, and that's the culprit.

    • @FullBoltOnGarage
      @FullBoltOnGarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you attempt the job, you'll see firsthand why that's needed. You will not be able to torque them down. You'll also need to slide the shaft out to remove the old flex plate. The easiest and quickest way is what's shown in the video ✅️

    • @danielson1989
      @danielson1989 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FullBoltOnGarage So I carried out the job yesterday, I only needed to crop the exhaust down and I used a exhaust jack. I had so much room all I needed to do was either push the heat shield forward to very cleanly access the 6 bolts inc. torque wrench and slid the heatshield back to drop the center bearing. I used your video for a large reference thank you for that :)
