I'm here and I'm pissed I've never in my 40 years of life and probably 33 years of playing this game never beat it and this person did it in a little over an hr 😂🤣😂🤦♂️
This is an old school walkthru for sure, lots of trial and error and entering unnecessary rooms. That's how we used to play back in the day. Kudos to the player!
@@dohavename6775 Haha, then you obviously didn't play/practice enough. Once you get used to something it won't be hard. The last two levels were extremely hard especially the very last level. Even 6 year old kids can play music from Mozart/Beethoven on the piano. How? Lots and lots and lots of practice!
📌The Turtles were one of my favorite cartoons and when the game came out on NES it didn't disappoint! Even loved the original movie in the 90's; and I actually used to watch it just about every evening during my last year of highschool. Man, what an era to remember! Mutants in a turtle shell! 🐢🍻👍🏽

This game was truly one of my arch nemesis of games back in the but I say that with a smile. Just watching this vid brought back the endless hours I spent trying to keep those turtles alive. And even now looking back some of the dynamics in this game where before there time most notable the ability to interchange characters in and out on the spot smh wow amazing considering this was Nes truly a classic amazing game.
25 years and today is the first I ever seen past the 40 min mark in this video, I beat bayou billy and can breeze through ninja gaiden, this is hardest game ever.
Kids today will never understand the frustration and joy of playing a game and not being able to save, and if you die having to restart from the very beginning. This is one of the hardest games I’ve ever played, but even this pales into insignificance next to the original Ecco the Dolphin, easily the most impossible game of all time.
I had this game, couldn't beat it to save my life when I was a young teenager. I would always run out turtles, then end up using ralph, who was the worse.
That corridor starting @1:08:57 is the real final boss of this game. Never got past it. Nice to see your approach taking advantage of the jetpack enemies spawnpoints, so they fly over you.
When I was in kindergarten the kids in my neighborhood would all play this game together and we basically always died at the underwater level. I think we only beat it once if I recall correctly.
Alongside the arcade game (also developed by Konami), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an action game based on the late eighties/early/mid/late nineties cartoon series of the same name, and it was one of the first video games based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, being released after the show's 2nd season. The game has three sequels: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game in 1990, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time in 1992.

I'm 41 and this is my all time favourite game. I have it on the New Xbox S as it's on the Cowabunga collection and I played it today again and it is just magical. I love playing this game, the music is great, everything about it. Hardest game I've ever played and I have only just cracked how to complete it. Luckily I have the save option now which you never got on the Nes. Plus get all your Turtles carrying the scrolls and lots of them
Me my brother and sister mum and dad sat in the in the living room an all played this! Great memories off a very simple game I loved it! Fyi Im the youngest an it was me who completed it 👌 😂
I am in the UK, i am now 44. I remember the summer i played this with my two older brothers. We had the NES and a ZX Spectrum. My brothers friend came over.... I even remember what i had for breakfast haha, Kellogs Start cereal. And it was an amazing summer day, boiling hot... We had the windows open, but didn't go outside. We played on the ZX first for hours, Target Renegade, Leaderboard Golf, Daley Thompson, Death Chase. Then we went out for a bit...Got some food and drinks i believe? When I was a kid I found this game so hard, I think I remember completing the part where you diffuse the bomb (myself) and watching the fight with bosses like the Turtleoid/Slash being played, but never saw further than that.
Donatello with the staff is the best to use, longest reach. I must of beaten this game 100 times when i was a little kid. It seems hard at first but once you beat it the first time it becomes easy.
There are a few commentators who are surprised about Splinter turning human. The backstory as far as the 1987 TV series goes (which I guess the NES game was based on), is that the mutagen transforms them into the thing they were in contact with the most. Hamato Yoshi/Splinter exiled himself in the sewers and lived amongst rats for most of his life, hence the mutagen would turn him into half rat. The turtles were originally pets disposed of in the sewer, discovered by, and re-adopted by Yoshi before he mutated. Living amongst humans most of their life, the mutagen would turn the turtles into half human.
I *almost* completed this game. I made it to the very last level and things just seemed to fall apart pretty quickly after that. Thanks for this video and for letting me know how painfully close I was!!!
Shredder only has two attacks. One is if you close to him, he punches you and you lose at least half of your energy. The other one is that his mutation gun which will turn you back into a baby turtle meaning you dead.
this and yo noid were probably some of the hardest games i played back then. it seems that the NES days were full of really difficult games but as the genesis/snes and later games came out they tended to get easier. i am SO glad that we are getting hard games like ARK, dark souls, monster hunter and others to finally bring the challenge back to video games

Any game that where you have to fight to stay alive even while navigating a map to explore levels is a difficult game. Many NES games were like this during the 80s era. When dealing with maps that go into certain levels in modern games, it generally is just used as a way to enter and exit levels as well as access different secrets and/or powe-rups to complete the game. The fact that you can get totally lost on where to enter on the map, fight enemies on the map, and also dodge getting your life taken on map navigation is an insane game. TMNT was still fun nonetheless.
