Now these are the TH-cam shorts I like to see.
Person A:"I have a really solid deck"
Person B:"I have guide of souls/ocelot/a cpl cards to use my 1982893892839128 energy"
Person A:"I concede"
Modern Horizons 3 in a nutshell.
Especially true in the box event. Remember, the house always wins. In this case WoTC always wins.
24:40 you were right about Phelia being able to bring back the unearthed Moleten Gatekeeper permanently! I looked it up and found this:
“10/1/2008: If a creature returned to the battlefield with unearth would leave the battlefield for any reason, it's exiled instead -- unless the spell or ability that's causing the creature to leave the battlefield is actually trying to exile it! In that case, it succeeds at exiling it. If it later returns the creature card to the battlefield (as Oblivion Ring or Flickerwisp might, for example), the creature card will return to the battlefield as a new object with no relation to its previous existence. The unearth effect will no longer apply to it.”
TL;DR Unearth cares that the creature gets exiled, so a flicker can exile and still bring it back without violating unearth rules.
not all heroes wear capes, ty
This video seems short…sees the rares…oh nvm makes sense
Lul, i thought the same. Looking at the title and time, easy clickbait… Guess not
49 minute 6-0?!?🤑
finally we see your sealed pool luck change. this was a great showcase of what happens when you have the right tools
"the right tools" this format is an absolute money sink.
@@bigperk345 the box event is definitely not something I would enter. I don't have the bankroll. But if I was sitting on 50,000 gems I would love to try my chances. Kenji only needed to win 1/8 trophies to make a profit, since a box is worth $200+. But if you only have enough gems for one attempt, then the odds are terrible
Numot definitely plays some poker on the side with his terminology lol
I won a box doing this yesterday on my first ever attempt and I gotta say I haven't come down from my high since.
I really like how happy Nummy gets when opponent finds a way out of a brutal curve in game 2. Such a good sport!
I play this game for a couple of matches and notice how my mood sours so quickly! How does one acquire such a zen-like mentality to a frustrating game like magic?
Drafted a sneaky snacker deck that I saw you play and so far its 5-0. Your videos are awesome.
Btw yours truly refers to yourself
@@napoleonbonerfarte6739 oh thanks, not my first language that’s good to know
Awesome Kenji!!!! Thought you were gonna throw it at one point but like a pro you took a breath, reset and smashed face!!!! Great video. Sealed is such a wonky format. Loved it back in the day of Invasion block.
awesome deck and playing, 2 wins (each box seems to be valued ~225/250$*2 ) with 4 entries (5k gems worth ~25$ each), plus 350-400$.
40:05 play amulet first and activate. If you hit guide of souls/red source you do that, if not play the eruption as a land and fanged flame the 3/3
Haven't had a chance to watch your arena direct videos yet, but I can't wait to. I don't understand whatsoever why they had this event the same weekend as the pro tour.
First thing I thought too.
holy cow GG dude. Guide of Souls is crazy.
Would love to see an opening of these boxes on the channel!
Opened a pretty good Boros deck as well, in the event. Steamrolled the first opponent, then I got 2 consecutive aggro decks with perfect hands and 3 cheap removal spells each, while on the draw.
Damn that was a sweep 🧹🧹🧹💪🏼
i had a deck like this in draft, it was jeskai with plenty of fixing and a few mdfcs, and 2 guide of souls. over 6 games i only drew a guide once, a few games I was even down to the last 5-10 cards in my deck.
Awesome run. Congrats. Enjoy all the content.
It's great that you decided to give away the booster box to one of your subscribers who comments on this video (me)!
GG bruh, dine on that box
Great run!
The GOAT 😂❤
Kenji, thoughts on running the one (maaaybe two) of the inventor's axes? Considering that you has 2x guide, 2x chargebug, phelia, kite and guardian of the forgotten - its not typically a great card but it has some great synergy with the guides especially. And additionally interacts well with the other cards I mentioned.
Axe is too smallball for a deck with this power level. Really all he wants are creatures and removal spells, so there are very few reasons to play the axes.
that was insane
I played this event, went 2-2, played a second time, went 6-1 and got the token for a box, figured "hey, clearly I know how to play well enough to give it another go", then went 0-2 twice with some of the worst pools I've seen in my life. I had Imskir in 3 of 4 pools and had at least two fetch as rares in the last two, so uh.... Yeah. Great rewards if you win, horribly pitiful beatdowns if you don't 😓
Is it a real box they mail to you?
As long as you are winning 1 in 8/9 you are making a profit though.
@@joshngoozen Yeah, hearing him mention that does make it feel less bad, 1 out of 4 is still not that bad - I don't have any gems left since I don't play Arena much, though, so I probably should call it quits before trying to gamble on better pools, lol
I went 0-2 with Nadu getting played against me turn 5 and then turn 3 my next game 😂😂
Played twice. Went 2-2 first time and lost each game to a perfect curve eldrazi deck both times. Second time went 0-2 and in 2 games i got 12 removal spells played against me.... so yeah did not have fun lol Congrats on your box though!
Great rares!!
Bo1, 2 colors aggro with bombs. MH3 box +1
If you could magically ensure 1 of these every time which would it be? Open well, play well, or draw well?
Draw well. Skill can make up for the other 2.
need some round 6 stips
where you make the nonEZmode decklist and win at pleb rate
Man, there is no inbetween for me in this set, im either going 6 to 7 wins or straight 0-2 maybe 1-2 feel like ive been getting mana issues a lot too.
we are so back with this one
Tried this 3 times and went 0-6 instead of 6-0 👍🏻
I spent my precious few gems and lost in 3 games. But after seeing a crazy pool like this, I think I want to try again
Lets Go Gambling! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it! Ah dang it!
An amazing black/green pool with 2 Chthonian Nightmares and a Grist! Game 1, my internet goes out 😑
Is he now 2-2 in this box event to turn gems into boxes? If so, that is amazing.
2-4
@@thor82ak 2w-2l record or 2w out of 4 total games…both are correct.
@@PreppinShootinLivin That's a great win rate and ROI
We all know you should have ran eldrazi with those rares
You should do an open on stream
2 hours 10 minutes into this vod I do!

@@NumotTheNummyYT open the physical box you win on stream
Are you gonna upload a box opening?
Did u win a box real paper Magic? I mean Not in arena
WE'RE BACK BABYYY
Surprised the sealed gods didn't also give you Ajani because why not. Disgusting deck lol
Got recked by a guy playing 4 dreadmasks one after the other
How tf are you supposed to deal with that 😅
Are they even profiting from this event? Or do they just have thousands of boxes that they don't know what to do with
It costs them a few dollars of ink, paper, and wrap to make a box and ship it, just like it costs nothing to sell you virtual currency.
My thoughts are that this is a way to try to bring back the arena players to the physical play after pandemic restrictions.
Are they even profiting??? LMAO This game isn't even regulated under gambling laws in the U.S. Wizards of The Coast is under no obligation to make the system they use to distribute winnings either "fair" nor "balanced" They are free to print broken cards and they are free to hand select packs and the card spreads in packs. They are under no legal obligation to disclose the system they use to "randomize" their game. For all you know the cards could be given on an account by account basis with accounts that earn more for Wizards getting better pools.
U don't get gems back at all when u win the box so each box won cost 5k gems minimum which is about 25 dollars to buy , and for every 1 person that won a box 20 didn't
49 min video he obviously lost... or was it?
Play with my account please! I suck at draft
Grosssss
I think ur r1 opponent was stream sniping and trying to rope and mock u
streamer luck
Some call it luck, some call it a boolean: the field type on the DB that identifies which players on average will get better modifiers for draws, pools, matches.. 100% rigged. but hey we get to enjoy the content 😊
