    Keystone seems like a no brainer for me. Third party wallets aren’t deal breaker for me as they are mandatory anyway to deal with defi. However, the device form factor, coin support is way better than trezor. Two years ago when I asked on Trezor forum for Solana and Polkadot support their moderator and community response was something like “we know what is better for you, these ain’t good and we won’t support them”. So nope, thank you.

    I have both but I like the keystone better because you don't have to plug anything in and get out the laptop. The user interface is great. I don't mind scanning qr codes. Its quick.

    Biometric access is a convenience feature, not a security feature. In fact, it is a security liability in most cases. You are far more likely to be coerced into relinquishing your wallet and forcing biometrics than just information. Most hardware wallets don't have assets stolen from them by someone finding them dropped on the sidewalk, they are forcibly removed from your person like any other assault/robbery.

      You can turn the finger print option off and U have to put in passcode on start up first everytime after it's turned fully off, then finger scanner works if you click off and on again, tbh someone got a gun to ya head you should give up the code 😂😂😂
      FYI you can make a 2nd wallet and give the code to the wallet with only alittle in it.

      @@Dale-11 definitely should. but sometimes it's not a gun. sometimes it's just 2 buddies hold you down while I put your finger on your phone screen. or if you're into conspiracy theory you are locked in a room and forced to put your thumb down. a lot easier than water boarding.
      it's not that I find any of this likely, it's more so that people assume biometrics are super high tech, therefore more secure. that is not usually the case. just watch any Hollywood film with a handprint or retina scan door entrance to see why.

      @@plsreleasethekraken Just turn the finger print option off then lol. Hide ya keystone wallet and tell no one you have one job done really.

    I manage my two tweenage daughter's crypto so from my perspective if you can have 3 different accounts on the one Keystone device, then it is a much cheaper option than buying 3 Trezors?

    For Keystone 3 Pro, let's say you add a passphrase a few later(certain seed phrase), will the addresses of the coins change? Meaning it's now a completely different wallet?

    You should also mention that US residents can't use OKX with the Keystone unless they're using a VPN. OKX also requires KYC to a degree. OKX could make it harder accessing your funds by locking your OKX account. This would mean US residents could have issues accessing their funds since the other third-party wallets on Keystone don't support the same networks.

    From the security point of view, is it safer to connect to third party wallets like metamask and solflare instead of using native apps like trezor suit and ledger live?

    • @foxahmadgaming1803
      @foxahmadgaming1803 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the native app is closed source like ledger live then yes , it's far more secure to use third party open source apps, however trezor app is also open source , so the security is the same.

    If they requires firmware updates then both are not good for my understanding , now tangem seems more secure whitout the need of a device + no firmware updates

    • @cryptorenegade
      @cryptorenegade  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Tangem has no screen, thus, no way to confirm what you are signing. Big no-no. Every HW wallet should have firmware upgrades for new coins, features, and security updates. Even tangem does them

    I bought impulsively keystone pro 3 not realising I will need to use multiple wallets. If I knew I'd go for Trezor T. I guess im stuck with keystone since I already opened it and cannot return.

      That's also the point where I would not feel really comfy with it, to connect my wallet to Metamask etc. My main Holdings I wouldn't hold there at moment...

    • @Nushima96
      @Nushima96 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@andreas_europe This doesn't make sense as metamask doesn't hold your seed. The Keystone does. Metamask is just to view holdings / initiate the transaction, which is then finalized on the keystone.
