I removed the spring from the internal key in the fob. We tow our 18' bowrider boat, but we have the max tow. There's a seal spray that can quiet the rubber, but I haven't had any problems with my hard top.

I agree with a lot of what you said, The FOB is a bit from Hell! The steering issue is weird. I don't chase mine. Mine holds the line. I have been following this issue on a Gladiator forum. It seem its catch as catch can and it shouldn't be. Mine is good. I haven't towed with mine yet. However, I don't have big heavy stuff to tow so it should be fine. I have loaded it up with lumber and those soft rear springs hate me (I have a Rubicon). It worked and will continue to. I do have mine setup for overlanding with a RT tent. I get about 17MPG in the 30K miles I have driven it. Before the RT I was getting about 18.5 MPG. However, that was with a lot of cross country driving. I made the trip to ND 3 or 4 times. My top is quiet, thankfully. However, I find the seat horrible for a long drive. Like really really bad. For daily driving they are fine. I agree with the damn window switches. Also, why don't they have auto up on the front windows? I do like how the control for everything (except front sway bar disconnect) is good. I hate that damn setup. I have no recommendations on what truck. However, I do understand your need to swap for a full sized. Good luck. Maybe, you can post your test drives in them??
