Filming this video with my dear friend Joanne @thekoreanvegan was the most fun (and a good reminder of why I prefer to cook most things). What kind of taste tests would you like you’d like to see in the future?
Nisha and Joanne trying snacks, creating their own snacks selling at a Whole Foods near you 🤗
Dark chocolate! Moser Roth (Aldi), Way To Go! (Lidl), Lindt, Sam's Choice, Tony's Chocolonely, etc
If I ever start eating UPFs again, I know what to buy! 🤣
You could taste test vegan foods from Trader Joe's. They have a lot of vegan pre-made meals, meal components, snacks, etc.
Love you both. Compare recipes or do a collab.
I had so much fun making this!!! But honestly more fun even watching somehow!!! And now I’m craving chips😂😂😂
What a fun day this was! Thanks so much for embarking on this taste test adventure with me despite neither of us being snack experts 🤭 Love ya!
This was so fun. Definitely need more Nisha/Joanne videos!! I’ve never had those Late July chips so I am for sure picking some up this weekend.
In the backpacking community, Fritos are popular because thgey're one of the highest calories-per-pound foods there are. I prefer Triscuits or Wheat Thins for backpacking because they have less FAT and are made with whole grain instead of refined flour like so many snacks.
What a privilege to see these two vegan goddesses sharing the screen (and snacks) together!
I think I would've enjoyed seeing better if it was a "blind" taste test. To be less partial, it would've been more interesting if it was served on a plate and not in its packaging. Sometimes our faves aren't our faves when we aren't influenced by seeing who made it.
Loved this episode! Would like to see another one!
Such a fun change up to the usual videos🥰
I need more of the 2 of you! Would love to see a frozen pizza round. Or more snacks from the UK, Korea, Netherlands etc. This was fun to watch!
Fun video! Next time, try the Lesser Evil brand buttery popcorn. I brought it to a book club full of non vegans and they loved it!
The Justin's dark pb cups are absolutely divine when you get the right batch. Unfortunately, half the time I end up with a crumbly, dry version. Another absolutely delicious one to try is Unreal dark chocolate pb cups, they're consistently good 👍
Yes, the Unreal ones are great! I haven't tried the Justin's yet but will now.
That's a fun colab! 😊
Always a big fan of your humor Nisha and your synergy with Joanne is promising in this regard. 😁
Curious about your reactions in a test of meat substitutes and a test of vegan cheese varieties! Especially because of your developed taste palettes and critical judgment.
So fun!! More of this collab please❤❤
Man I live in Australia I wish we had some of these here they look great haha. Great video, Nisha and so cool to see Joanne too ! The collaboration I didn’t know I needed! I have watched her videos all the time, just made her kimchi recipe a month ago 🎉❤
Yeah I know! But don't forget that there are a lot of benefits to living in Australia too. 😄
Aw Joanne didn't get credit in the title OR the thumbnail! I had no idea until I clicked! This was an awesome collab, what a delight (and now I need to try those chips)
It says featuring the korean vegan in the title
@@FEkatten Hey the thumbnail and the title were both updated since my comment!! That's awesome, genuinely
@@annafantasia ah, then your comment makes more sense. 😊
"You didn't get to warm up the oreos" is WILD omg hahaha
I'm kinda sad Siete's snacks weren't included. They got a lot of great options and all made wish avocado oil 😊
The spill count though!😂 I'm the same so I feel like I can laugh WITH you! It's tomato season, so what about a taste test/ best uses for varieties?
Delightful as always, and you have been a mainstay with me throughout my continued vegan journey! I was missing Lenny and Larry's (vegan protein cookie brand, quite popular), Skinny Pop's vegan popcorn and Original Pringle's, but great video once again! Much love, Nisha! 😊
Eating an un-toasted Pop Tart hurt its chances. You can eat it straight out of the package ... but why would you?
Clocking warming up Oreos as serial killer behavior is something I would do, LOL. But speaking of Oreos and espresso, the Java Chip Oreos are the bomb
PB oreos dipped in coffee/espresso are surprisingly really good, too.
Fun video but...why not pair the sweets and the savories together at the end? Like I kinda want to know how the Oreo measured up to the chocolate cup, I reckon the Lays would've gone second to the other chips though just by virtue of one being salt and the other actual real flavors that aren't just salt.
Good question! I let other people select the snacks and pairings so everything would be a surprise for us.
Loved this, although now I have another channel I need to follow. How about some Indian-Korean fusion dishes?
Loved this! Two of my faves testing out foods! We need more!
I guessed from the beginning that Late July would win, and I'm very glad to see it did! They really did a great job with that one!
I love lime chips & I'm so glad to know there's a vegan brand!
I enjoyed this collaboration too. The pacing was good & you didn't go off on tangents. This was a fun video!
Not all Late July chips are vegan (learned that the hard way!) - some have dairy.
I love both of your final 2 items. Both are so craveable.
You guys of two of my favorites vegan chefs! Pls do more videos together.
The pepperoni one from louisville vegan jerky co is the best!
I make frito pie with your chili recipe, pickled red onion, and shredded smoked cashew cheddar from Rebel Cheese! Highly recommend for vegan Texans needing to impress omni relatives.
I thought I would hate Nutter Butter, but they pair well with coffee. It used to be a favorite work snack. My bad... 🤦🏾♀️🫢 I'm thinking about Nekote PB cookies. Those are soooo good with coffee!
Two of my fav snacks are the Justin's and the Louisville Jerky (try the Gochujang flavor! 😋)
I agree that the Reese's vegan cups are gross. I found them too sweet and the chocolate had a strange flavor, not to mention the peanut butter was waaaay too thin. I think Reese's wants them to be bad so they won't have to make them any more.
Y'all eating Oreos like you're from Mars.
Love the idea. Thanks for prescreening space balls for me!
I didn’t know about the jerky, or that Reese’s makes a plant based peanut butter cup, thank you for letting me know about them, and more importantly, for saving me wasting money on the Reese’s.
If I had been at the table with you I think I would have reached the same conclusions on all of them, in fact as soon as I saw the Late July chips I said “I think the chips will win.”
Really fun video, I loved the chemistry between you both. I would enjoy seeing a repeat, but with just chocolate candies, or just chips, or just cookies, or just savory snacks like jerky, it’s really hard to compare across different snack categories, like chips vs chocolate.
Your two top favorites are also two of my favorites! Plus now I have ideas on new things to try.
Loved this one! So fun!
10:41. After agreeing a lot... "I actually think these would go good together", "No".
Most of these items are not available in Canada. Thanks for the video though.
This was really fun to watch, and actually super helpful!
I absolutely loved this video, you two have the best fun energy together!! And the Late July Jalapeño Lime chips are my all time FAVORITE!
Late July chips are very good - can concur.
This was fun to watch! ❤
omg! You two together??? Mind Blowing !!!! Amazing humans that can cook like no one I know :) Thank you for this
You need to be sponsored by Late July, gonna have everyone buying them now.
Your vegetarian buffalo chick pea quesadillas are AMAZING - made them many times and healthy this is horrible ! is it food. Of course yours takes much longer to make, but so much more satisfying!!! I love your channel, cooking and sense of humour. Thank you
Thank you so much.....when I went to run errands I had to buy some fritos...haven't thought or eaten them in ages
You two are so great together! lmao
That's funny how those Late July Jalapeno Lime chips are actually the worst on my snacks list!! 😅 I bought them not so long ago, and it was one of the worst snacks I ever had, even before I went vegan. I couldn't taste anything but lime. And it was a very weird combination of crunch and a very sour lime taste 😁
And I also had a better experience with Reese's plant based peanut butter cups. The ones you got didn't look good indeed, not sure if those might not have been fresh. I get them when I crave sweets, and they are usually very fresh and melting in my mouth. I found them to be a satisfying sugar fix for me.
My 2 fave vegan ytb. Both smart too.❤❤
Ores, pop-tarts, and doritos are snacks I grew up on, but even as a vegan, I don't knock them. They still taste pretty damn satisfying.
Love those Late July chips, too! ❤
Frito's are my go-to. Great with veggie chili.
WOW i love the back to nature cookies! And kids like them too!
I enjoyed all the food testing and I'm a Late July fan myself. By the way, you guys are charming as heck!
Vegan caramels from Purdy's are THE best! I only wish there were more choices ❤
Where will you ever see two attorneys eating junk foods and discussing their merits.
I love her cookbook!
Looks yum I need to find all in Singapore I love vegan ice cream in Singapore BTW cant wait to make your recipes soon for me
Singapore is the only place I've found "Serious Cookies", which are made in NZ. I recommend the double chocolate!
@@trishk.7876 will do
this is so fun. you guys should collab on taste test... maybe you could do other vegan products next
Love this new kind of content! So fun
what a combo!
Can confirm those Late July chips are amazing
Love this- I was so excited to try the vegan Reeses cups and I was soooo disappointed when I finally tried them- agree they were horrid! But I can eat an entire bag of those Doritos!
immediately subscribed to Joanne.
I really like the Hippeas Nacho Cheese tortillas chips. But I really like the Late July’s Jalapeno Like too.
Fun to watch but to ramp it up Max needed to pair similar items like The Doritos and the chili lime tortillas and the nutter butters with the almond butter pretzels for a head to head battle. 😂
Just watching you two is so sweet (pun not intended).
This format is good but the snacks being compared need to come from the same category: chips with chips, candy with candy, etc. having a free for all defeats the fun, imo
love this!!! i see my favorite products in there, louisville vegan jerky and purple doritos 🔥🔥
cant wait to try the late july jalapeno lime chips! i use their multigrain tortilla chaps all the time
Wow, our Lays crisps in Europe have milk powder in them for some dumb reason and I thought we had the healthier snacks here :')
This was a really fun video!
Yay! Those are my favorite chips!
Oh no, you let the secret out of the bag. Late July's are already always sold out everywhere locally! They truly are the best vegan snack, though. If you loved Cool Ranch Doritos growing up, these are the far superior version of those. And vegan to boot!
I love the idea of this but I'm so confused as to what any of these groupings are. Why wouldn't the two potato chips go against each other? Why wouldnt you put the nutter butter against the pb pretzel nuggets? Space balls vs jerky?! I'm not a fan of the space balls but give them a fighting chance.
Also, how are there absolutely no Hippea brand products on here? or the lesser evil Himalayan Gold popcorn!
It was all apples to oranges comparison. Love them together, but this was kind of BS
You guys kept it real which I love 😂👏🏾👏🏾bravo
Loved this, you are both too funny!
Justin’s dark chocolate PB cups are delicious!
Would love to see some healthy snack ideas :)
also it stressed me out thinking you opened huge bags/boxes and just ate one, and dumped the rest. Hope you donated/gave them away!
This is so cute I love snack ranking videos ❤
Back to nature is awesome, they have the chocolate chip cookies, "oreo" cookies, "thin mints" style cookies and their loaded peanut butter trail mix cookies are like crack - absolutely addictive. Another irresistible snack is the Ben & Jerry's cookie batter bites, also addictive. Also, I didn't know poptarts were vegan, that sounds suspicious.... 🤔
Only the un frosted ones, the ones with frosting have gelatin
I saw this right when I got home from the grocery and now I kinda wanna go back out again and get some chips 😂
I LOOOOVE Late July chips~
The collab of my dreams!!
Thanks ladies. 👏🏻👏🏻
Where are the Red Hot Blues chips?!?
Very exciting video and fun!! I disagree with nearly all the opinions though hahaha I LOVE most of the snacks you guys hated and buy them often 😅
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't care for Justin's cups. It tastes like pure pb instead of like a Reese's or "candy" type of filling. Also my toddlers don't love them.
Reeses pb cups tastes like sugar! 😂 they used to be my favorite but once I gave them up, I bought Justin’s and loved them and I still love them now 5 years later 😋
I love crisps, a big weakness. A video on nibbles and making crisps would be great. I'm trying to stay off the processed store bought crisps. I've tried to make my own (even bought a microwave specially for it) but I have no joy.
Butler foods (the soy curls company) makes the best vegan jerky by a MILE. It's not even close. I used to buy them in bulk directly from the company. I should buy them again...
It's so wild how different tastebuds are and how this makes me realize I definitely have the tastebuds of an unrefined child. I would have the same reaction Nisha had with the Reese's to the dark chocolate of the Justin's. I agree the that plant-based Reese's doesn't taste like my memory of regular Reese's - the peanut butter is close-ish, but the chocolate is very different... the smell and taste is reminiscent of Kit-Kat chocolate instead (which I don't mind because I loved and miss Kit-Kats most). Overall I think the Oreos followed by Fritos would have won for me.
The struggle to say "jalapeno" correctly, everyone was there😂
none of the snacks you tested are products I snack on. I definitely, don't buy any big corporate snacks- like Doritos.
By the way I saw your instant pot recipe book at Williams-Sonoma
So fun!! 🎉
Purple Doritos were done DIRTY.
Doritos dropping Blazed Doritos was heartbreaking to me. It was my favorite. Found out it was vegan when I saw Peter Dinklage doing an advert so saught them out and was hooked.
Now Salsa Verde. Can't stand Spicy Sweet Doritos. 😮💨
As for oreos and nutter butters... put em in a bowl and cover em in oatmilk. Delicious.
Black Pepper Vegan Jerky from that Louisville brand is great. Would toss it in my rice and brocoli with soy sauce.
Those chips rock!
"Irresponsible Selling"😂
Me learning I have the unrefined pallet of a child.
Success is always right around the corner
TIL there are vegan Poptarts. This'll come in handy if for traveling I'm sure.
Hello Nisha can make some vegan burgers options 4 th july is coming up soon
