    I deleted my paccar immediately after getting brand new in 2013. Got it tuned couple weeks after. 632673 miles later no issues except for some sensors. I’ve had good luck with this engine. My preventative maintenance schedule is on time every time. But once this paccar goes I’m going with an N14 Cummins

    I had that happen to me on a Caterpillar engine C13, and the problem was the Air Compressor was creating Back Pressure and blowing the coolant out of the reservoir...

    • @mgp-bct7723

      That’s what was on mine they replace the air compressor head but 10 months later did it again so the engineers told them to take the head of the engine and when they took the head off first cylinder was Seth 1/8 so they had to rebuild it

    Is that the original coolent filter? You can turn the nut right above the coolent filter and bypass the filter until you get a new one I suggest not a paccar filter any one except that. because it not the best.
    I bet that old filter is messing up the sensors....
    And I keep the coolent level at that exact min line seems to run the best right at that line as long as you not running a gal low or something like that.
    could be a level sensor is malfunctioning. Need new sensor aka sending unit...and or thermostat aka expansion valve is time for a new one

    Hey bro have your EGR checked because my was doing that and my EGR blew and then my turbo blew and it was doing that but my truck didn't derate at all and after I had it in the shop for a month they found out that my EGR and my turbo went out and that's what was causing my radar the flux rate like yours

    Air compressor head gasket bad.

  • @mattt3284
    @mattt3284 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This is an old video, but first, the cap looks bad. It shouldn't be spinning. When the coolant was coming out of cap, was it loosened open? If so, the engine is hot and pressurized so it will leak out. If not loosened open, the cap is cap. It's a pressurized cap. It's bad. Don't add cold coolant to hot like that. Wait til engine is cool totally, then check coolant. If under minimum, fill no more than to in-between min and max or just to minimum. Too much coolant is a problem. It's a pressurized system, very hot (fluid expands.)
    Do a combustion gas test for $50 before assuming the head gasket is bad. The blue liquid will turn yellow if combustion gasses are present, indicating a bad head or head gasket. Check oil for coolant, frothy, milky color. Check water seperator for milky or coolant floating under deisel. Check fuel tanks with flash light looking for coolant color. All indicators of bad head gasket or even injector cups.
    Do bottle pressure test on air compressor. It could be a bad compressor or just a cracked compressor head gasket(s.) Also Check air dryer purge valve for coolant. If any there, a compressor or compressor head gasket issue. Also, check for clogs. There is a coolant strainer. Remove and check. Check coolant filter and replace. Scope or have scoped, the egr cooler to see if clogged. Also check "hot pipe" in egr system for coolant in it.
