0:08 I saw that the in-laws had a standing desk…it would be so cool to see you incorporate a standing desk into a built-in. I have a standing desk and don’t want to give it up. You are so gifted I bet you would come up with a clever solution! Beautiful work!!
Hey there! Great work! In the future, when you're making large work surfaces and joining boards together, you should alternate the woodgrain so that it's that no two boards that are touching have grain the same way. Look at the 3:37 mark and you can see the end grain is Up, Up, then Down. This will help with warping in the longterm! Great projects! You inspired my closet makeover!!!!
I have the exact setup! That’s so funny, I have my desk in the middle, cabinets on either side and bookshelves on top. I even painted them a dark grey as well and the tops are stained wood. I used Home Depot upper cabinets for the floor below the bookshelves. I also have an ikea pax tall wardrobe on each side as well so it’s a bit wider!
This is awesome. This is almost identical to an idea I have about regarding my unfinished basement where I work from. What model are the IKEA cabinets by chance? I'm having a hard time finding what you got.
I am a new subscriber and I have been watching a lot of your videos so far and thanks for the tutorial I will be making the floating vanity for my powder room. I hope I do it justice
I loved it very nice that they were greetings and I never tire of telling you that you have a great talent, you are a beautiful woman physically and intellectually 👍🏻👍🏻
👍🏼👍🏼 I love how you use the Ikea cabinets as the base for your builds....resourceful!!! Looks like you are going to make a carpenter out of Devin yet. Are you going to stain the front of the desk and kickboards as well in the walnut? This is just fabulous!! And to think....you did it without your supervisor, Tucker. 🐕 Can't wait for the next installment. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. 🦃🦃
this is beautiful and Im going to be using your amazing tutorial to redue my office as I work from home and it's not efficient and pretty lame in my opinion. this is sophisticated and elegant. can you please share the link of which cabinets you purchased from Ikea? thank you so much!
How do you like the drawer mechanisms from Ikea? Very nice to see you using a blend of different manufacturers along with custom-built components. Looks great!
Hi, Nice build, what type of drawer fronts did you use from IKEA to make sure they were able to paint it over, did you sand them lightly first? thanks for the answer in advance!!
Hi Stephanie! I am your new super fan #1 :) I watch your videos and hope I can be brave enough to buy tools and start a project one day. I have experience on designing though; that's where my question comes from, the computer system that you use to design, whats the name? Happy Holidays!
This turned out really great! I want to do something similar in my office but I want the whole desk to be wood so I can stain it. Do you think it would be worth it to get ikea cabinets and then surround/frame them with wood, or just make the cabinets from scratch?
awesome job Just a safety/accuracy tip. when you were ripping you boards down i noticed that you were cutting the small strip off but, you had the small strip in-between the fence and the blade this dangerous because of kickback (witch you did well to stand to the side) but it is also far less accurate to rip it that way.
You are amazing! I love watching your tutorials! Quick question though, don’t you have to put an inner protective outlet box extender when it’s coming in contact with a wood/particleboard material? It’ll meet code and won’t cause an accidental electrical fire.
I see you use Ikea cabinets in many of your designs. I'd like to know what your thoughts are on how well they've worked for you as far as maintaining their stability, functioning doors and drawers, dents and dings, holding onto paint, etc.
Love it! Can you link the ikea cabinets?

How deep were the 24” and 18” ikea cabinets? I’m 💯 building this in my home office!!!

Looks great! Which version of Home Designer software allows you to make this design?
I made this design on Home Designer Suite 2020 🙌
You didn’t want to use a biscuit joiner for the desk top?
I missed your videos !
Hello, Congratulations Cool 👍👏👏👏👏
Love--Love and Love you video - thank you !!!!! 🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😘
Link to the cabinets?
Maximera, by the look of 8:20
You certainly lucked out with plywood behind that wall. Wall anchors are so annoying to install.😮
❤
Ikea cabints are outa stocks everywhere. Not dependable anymore.
I see you use Ikea cabinets in many of your designs. I'd like to know what your thoughts are on how well they've worked for you as far as maintaining their stability, functioning doors and drawers, dents and dings, holding onto paint, etc.
What was the name of the ikea bases? Was it maximera?
I believe the cabinets are Sektion and the drawers are Maximera.
Yes that correct! Sektion cabinets and Maximera drawers 👍
🇫🇷👏👏👍💪💪😉💜💚
Aesthetic isnt a verb the way use it here
