    For all of us who were kids in 1980s london especially we will remember it alot
    Its amazing that if you show grange hill to kids today, that they can still relate to the classroom of 1980s london.
    First time like many i saw these scenes like i was a kid, and so weird, that they can trigger your memories. Grange hill was a show that had lots of dark stories, and it is behind your mind in dark place, that you just do not think about until you see something like this.

      Terry Sue-Patt's death was announced on Twitter and his Facebook profile on 22 May 2015.
      Scotland Yard confirmed that officers had forced entry into a flat in Walthamstow after concerns were raised about the welfare of the occupant; however, the death was not treated as suspicious.
      It was reported that Sue-Patt may have died up to a month before his body was discovered.

    I am just re-watching it on Brit Box ....... I felt it was quite sad that the original characters of Tucker, Trisha, Alan, Justin, Benny and Cathy just seemed to disappear, Justin's last scene was chairing a PTA meeting, Benny's was playing football and the others made their last appearances at a school concert and they were never seen again.. it would have been good to have an end of term episode where it showed you their last day at Grange Hill and how they felt to be leaving

    • @CricketEngland
      @CricketEngland 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tuckers last scene was actually in the last ever episode where he was making sure his nephew was ok at GH and he is the only character to appear in the first and last episode

    The best UK children TV series of the late 70s, 80s and 90s.
    Before that, there was only Cartoons for kids, play school, Black Beauty, and the Bionic man - Steve Austin.
    I loved Grange Hill and then, by the late 90s, it kind of lost its purpose or rhythm and went down hill.

    It's interesting that GH received so many complaints. Some of the programmes for children of just a few years prior had content that was far more disturbing and unsettling (but still good); Children Of The Stones & The Changes comes to mind. Not to mention some of the educational programmes as well! Without being 'leftist', was there a class thing going on there, i.e. earlier kids' tv featuring more middle class actors, whereas GH featured more working class kids in prominent roles.
