- Bring Back... is a British television series comprising one-off shows where Justin Lee Collins tries to locate people from music, TV or film backgrounds to reunite them for a one-off performance or get-together. The series was broadcast on Channel 4.
Alison Bettles acted so modest and such a real down to earth person. Fancied her big time as a kid.
Always looked forward to getting home from school to watch Grange Hill ….THANKYOU to all cast and crew for making this a special time all those years ago…. And also Justin for reuniting us with them again…. And that’s why we need to bring back (JUSTIN LEE COLLINS )🙏🏻🤘
This might’ve been the last television appearance of Joann Kenny, who was one of the main singers on Just Say No. Still so tragic that she passed away so young and just under five years after this aired. RIP.
If they brought it back today it just wouldn't feel the same as it did back in its hey day of the late 70s and much of the 80s
1980s Grange hill TV gold
+Elton Laleham NO!
John Harwood lol
Joann Kenny also appeared in OMD’s music video Genetic Engineering….a band I also grew up listening to…. And I never new that till just now ….funny old world…. Rest in peace Joann Kenny 🙏🏻❤️
One of the best kids shows as a kid in 1980s
We all remember zammos hard hitting story, that was very dark for a kids show.
The show is timeless, i remember getting it and showing it to my niece, and they still as kids relate to it today
North west london is ruined today, but back then kids growing up in that part of london it was not scary for parents to let there kids play out on streets of london, where people in london shared a common culture, and understand of civil society.
I think everyone remembers zammo because it was such a harsh storyline for a kids show. Amazing how much he still looks like his younger self, many people morph alot into adult life, but zammo, looks exactly like you remember him
BRILLIANT! They all look great. I was there (not at the reunion), watching those brilliant Grange Hill episodes GRANGE HILL IS ICONIC!! “C’MON”!! As JLC would say,
R.I.P. Joann Kenny, sadly missed.
Why are all the best people in life taken so early, I hope your happy babe.
She was very beautiful
She did it to herself. Once the bubble burst the bubbly came out and she fucked her self.
@@BAZFANSHOTHITSClassicTunes that's not nice
@@kevinprior3549 truth never is. Time you grew up child.
Real shame
It’s crazy to think how popular Grange Hill actually was and also how big the Just Say No song was!
Grange Hill was perfect fit for the 80s. And I'm amazed JLC didnt try to find Jackie Wright seeing she along with Zammo, Roly, and Kevin was in the middle of that drugs story.
He didn't really try and find anybody. .
I guess the closest thing to having Grange Hill back today is Waterloo Road but it would be nice to have the original back
Ziggy is a legend
hes just brought a book out
Grange Hill was the very pinnacle of Children's BBC, sad seeing the nightclub, more or less a thing of the past now.
Zammo and Rolland were thee stars of GH in 86. Best bit of biz to get them together for the reunion
All the people in the crowd would have no idea who these people are.
Great to remember the 1986 people again for all of us who were kids back then.
When you see them, you totally forgot who they are, but seeing them you can remember them and who they were.
Totally forgot about ziggy, what a character he was in the show.
Pitchers Mound, very nice contribution. Classy.
Awesome show
The whole just say no is a so hypocritical i just remembered and shat hard while laughing even harder 😂
Love how humble Justin is approaching the 'stars'
@@rickhardman7376 i can name worse people
@@rickhardman7376 They were just as bad as each other apparently, couple people have came out and said their relationship was seriously toxic, remember there's always 3 sides to a story...
Can humans ever get along without fighting. Roland didn't want to see the people for another 18 years.
when i used to watch waterloo road as a kid my dad always used to say that he used to grange hill as a kid
I stopped watching waterloo road after series 5
Whatever happened to Justin Lee Collins? He used to be EVERYWHERE..
Edit: just looked it up. He killed his career through being a real bad psycho woman-beater....WOW!
Get Justin back on the box
everyone deserves a second chance. He's admitted he's done wrong and it was years ago. Yet nothing happened at all with Melanie Sykes who actually beat the shit out of her husband carried on with her career without any stigma at all. He deserves another chance and I hope he gets it.
Kerry This is a good show concept Theres nany things that could be brought back
he has to come on TV hell we got celebrities that are back on TV and they did a lot more worse
Jamie Carragher spits on teenage girl and carries on his cushy job on sky
Shame they couldn't have got Simone Nylander ( the black girl who followed Roly everywhere in the show ) "Ro-land ! What happened to your hair, Ro-land ?"
Me too. Hope she's doing well. Top comment.
The character was Janet St.Clair
Loved watching Grange Hill after school on australia 🇦🇺 when Jeremy drowned I was devastated.
Loved this.
This is brilliant! :)
OK, I get that this was lighthearted, but I’d love to see this redone without the bogus “challenge” aspect. We find out next to nothing about these people. How did the Grange Hill experience shape their childhoods and their lives since? What was it like, for those who didn’t pursue acting, to go back to “civilian” life? The sublime awkwardness of the initial encounters with the presenter is about the most genuine aspect-painful at times. And what was up with adding all those others at the very end? Would love to heave heard from the actor who played Emelda, for instance, but we got nothing.
George Wilson aka George Christopher 'Ziggy' has an autobiography out. You can buy it from Amazon or direct from him via Facebook and he will sign the book for you.

The whole schtick of this as a JLC 'comedy' vehicle unfortunately. That's why these weren't too successful I think.
@@kimchi_b every program with a comedian presenting is a comedy vehicle for them, and there's nothing wrong that.
Just say "no" ha ha ha.
I've known 5 or 6 people that have died of drugs and alcohol many under 50 lm clever enough to keep away from this stuff to stay alive. If you take drugs even one tablet can put you in the morgue l call it TTM tagged on the toe in the morgue. Keep away.
@16:38 - This guy, Gavin Campbell actually appeared in an episode of GH - He played the teacher of a rival school in the episode where the GH kids go to Chessington Zoo.
Remember these idents like no tomorrow
No one in the crowed had no idea who they were 😂
Gripper not being interviewed is such a mistake. Julie too
Bring Back Justin Lee Collins- oh wait
He was just keepin her in check, gettin lippy
rip joann kenny
That's so sad, I had no idea. She must have gone very young.
I have since learned that she passed away partly due to alcoholic liver disease. She was in fact only 37 at the time of her death.
James king what character did she play?
@@jaym-bu3cr Jane Bishop
Yea Terry Sue Pat, Benny Green died from alcohol abuse also. Alcohol is a true killer!
Not once in this did JLC use his infamous catchphrase; "You should just cream me right down!".
Did Erkan ( Roland ) just say at 47.11 mins '' some people who met tonight, been nice seeing you but lets leave it another 18 years'' ? i wonder who hes referring too!!
What makes you think it's him?
It was Gripper? He asked for all those 10Ps back dating for the last 18 years that he had missed.
Brilliant, Zammo barely looks any different LOL
it could be making a come back
yeah I heard that Jaz it was the best tv classic
Couldn't bring it back, it'll be like kidulthoid you wouldn't be able to show it on TV if they kept it true to times.
This and The A Team were the best ones they did, I think. Although, I'd have rather have skipped the fruitless wait for John Alford and used the time to talk to the ones that turned up at the end.
This doorstep interview style is really off putting. I’d prefer to just hear from the actors
LOL it was still on at this point but nobody was really watching it.
It's a shame the prick had to knock his missus about and get busted for it.
The show should've been bigger than it was
Indeed, JLC's abusive behaviour really sullies rewatching the Bring Back shows, knowing what a bellend he was behind closed doors.
Knew this bloke worked in causeway video back in early 90s
Ro Land!
Is Justin still working? It's going to be a difficult comeback !
Regrettably the series was axed and Justin is supposedly going through psychological issues atm
I wouldn’t have thought so after this, a shockingly bad host to say the least, typical of a lot of the hosts from the 90s.
Nope. Lol.
Hi. My name is Rhuben Williams, Chino Fats Williams was my father. You had a video on your channel with a bunch of clips of the movies that he was in. It looks like it had been blocked. I was wondering if you still had the video file and would be willing to share it. It would mean the world to me. I am in the process of collecting DVD's of all the movies he was in but it is a slow process. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Rhuben
I'm trying to help you row-land.
Someone needs to do a “Bring Back The JLC”, he’s a legend 👍👍👍
A legendary abuser. He deserves to be kept out of the limelight.
i had the biggest crush on trisha yates :D :D
Seriously ?? - She was a bow-wow ! Cathy Hargreaves/Lindy Brill was much hotter !
We only want to help you roland
I can't believe he'd find her in a shopping centre just like that lol she must've known
35:42 for the interesting bit
You are a legend. Thank you!
With the benefit of hindsight. It would actually take 45 minutes to gather these GH veterans.
What about the 90s grange hill
Anthony Barratt It were shyte.
@@WillScarlet1991 90s was ok but it's the 80s ones i remember best, i left school in 1991 but used too watch Grange hill while eating my dinner waiting on neighbours starting then i hit 17 found Detroit Techno/House bought decks loads of records and erm other things lol..
@@WillScarlet1991 Yea by then times were changing and Grange Hill lost its magic and was on its way to becoming prehistoric.
Ziggy looks like his name should be Charley..
Bring back Justin Lee Collins? Er
melissa wilks not approached?
That is a strange one. Wasnt even considered.... very surprised
She might’ve been, but she probably just refused to participate and declined to be featured. Even though Mmoloki Chrystie declined to take part in the reunion he did seem happy to give his reasons for not participating.
I noticed Ricky Simmonds didn’t participate either. He might’ve been in the same position as Melissa or wasn’t asked/unable to be contacted.
If someone asks bring back justin Lee Collins just say no
Love GH, but how I wish JLC wasn't involved (at least I never have to see him again after this).
Don't want to finish on a negative note... Here is to continuing to enjoy the show on BritBox. 😊
Erkan who was roland in the show is a great guy. I met him in whipps cross Hospital in 2017.
What were you both doing in Whipps Cross hospital in 2017?
@@op-xv3ui i have dialysis over there.. He was working for transport service.
@@jazzbollywood oh ok thanks for letting me know. Was he a bus driver?

JUST SAY NO!
Eventually grange hill did come back. So, technically JLC succeeded.
What happened with robbie?
he just said no.
no
Probably thought it was another sting so swerved it
@@TokyoJoe703 He called a dickhead when I walked past him in the street, looked like a right trouble maker, lol
He was always boisterous as a child in Grange Hill. I remember he also couldn't read properly or spell and use to gamble playing coin games on the Grange Hill coach. Inside Facts some people probably didn't know. 😂
I see Roland hasn't changed.
Apart from being bald now
Fun if you're a Grange Hill fan but a missed opportunity. This series was a rip-off of the American show Bands Reunited, with the "thrill of the chase" crap and getting them to sign the annual (rather than an album) and perform at the end. The trouble is it's 75% JL Collins running around streets and hotels which is tedious. It would have been far better and more interesting if they'd concentrated on the GH cast, had proper interviews with a bit more depth and also interviewed the cast members who appeared at the end like Imelda, Gripper and Banksy.
Didn't you bash up your old woman?
Justin Lee Collins women beating again
Yet here you are
I used to love Grange Hill as a kid, it sucks realizing it was awful.
it wasn't awful back in the day, it was good from 78 to say 2001 after that it was pants
mikey p nnbbbkkn
Dawn Skinner and what does that mean in English Dawn??
+mikey p Couldn't agree more, the genuine morals it had too is priceless!!!
Dawn Skinner And that means what Dawn lol
Bring back JLC. Oh, maybe not.
“Kids TV in the 70s was crap...”
I don't buy that Lee was just working a day job as he's been a working actor since the show
It’s genuine-he’s been interviewed elsewhere about it.
Has he ? - Apart from a small role in "THE BILL" , I haven't seen or heard anything from him since GH .
@@mistofolesHe also had a small role in Eastenders. He played a bus driver. The storyline was something about a radio competition with Michael Carter.
Embarrassing. A rip off of bands reunited. Justin Lee Collins... annoying and fake. Roland and the 'film' guy, such egos.
This JLC is so annoying. He makes Katie Hopkins seems almost bearable.
Just say its complicated but if yo really are wanting a substance through curiosity then dont go in willy nilly , just plan the experience after extensive research and cost /benefit analysis but that doesn't sound as catchy 😂
Erkan was the most wooden actor in GH history. Luckily for him, his chubby presence gave him storylines which didn't require much dialogue.
Makes me laugh that even now, in 2022, he's still trying to live off the fact that he was a fat kid that couldn't act in a popular TV kids show
Oh...and I'm pretty certain there are people that wouldn't wanna see Erkan again either, following his pathetically, childish, cryptic jibe 🥱
