I've just bought a 2005 Accord Euro Luxury with the 6sp manual here in Australia. For what I paid, it is a great car. Just under 200bhp (147kW) from the K24 engine, the gears are a nice set of ratios, and the shift is short, and has that nice Honda 'snick'. And add the luxury features - full leather, sunroof, climate dual aircon, cruise and a decent OEM stereo, and then throw in the 17in 10-spoke Honda OEM wheels, and it's a lot of car for the money. The first tank of fuel, it surprised by by using a full litre less per 100km than the 19 yr old 1.6l Golf it replaced! This is our second Honda - we have a 3l Odyssey in the shed, which I'm about to put back on the road. I think I've just become a 47 yr old Honda Fanboy...no more VAG!
Mine is a 2001 Torneo Euro R. It has a lowered driver's seat rail and with the coilovers and a alloy intake pipe with a pod filter it's just that bit more agressive sounding and handling. Had it for 12 years and done over 170,000km's in it (115-285k's). Still haven't found anything to replace it with.

Cl1 Euro R is a good car but the BEST generation of the Honda Accord Euro R is the Cl7... Best shape, power drive train. Now the next generation of Honda accord Euro R in the CU2 Is fading away from being a high performance and semi sporty to just luxury... So for me the Cl7 is the last Euro R right now.
Really love this car. Having a 6th Gen CG5 Accord, I always wanted this car. I also want EC5A (8th Gen) Mitsubishi Galant VR4 to fill my garage. But really not fond of 25 year rule in United States.
what I've always found confusing is that the JDM version of this gen accord is called the EuroR, and the Type R is made in Europe, UK, they should be the other way round right?
It was dubbed the euro r instead of type r because ( if i got this right) was because it wasn't good enough to be called the type r. Having owned one and have driven the integra type r, definitely not as good to drive, but a great car nontheless
@@Yuaaaur i had the same one in the video, but in the more common white, that generation euro r had no normal "euro r" and was quite different to the normal accord. The next generation accord the gap between euro and euro r was waay slimmer.
Allow me to educate you all. I own a Honda Accord Type R. The type R was based off the European Accord, and was built and designed by Honda UK and not Honda Europe (they are different devisions). They created the car in 1998. In 2000, Honda Japan realized there was a market for a performance saloon. So, they worked with Honda UK and used 95% of the same parts as the Type R. As a sign of respect, Honda Japan called it the Euro R, basically in honor of the European Type R. While they are similar, the Type R is the preferred performance vehicle. It is lighter than the Euro R as it has no sound deadening, no sunroof or electric windows etc. The Type R also has a little more power and a more aggressive LSD with shorter ratios. In short, the Type R was more of a raw typical Type R performance vehicle. The Euro R is still a quick car, but more of a daily with softer suspensions etc. Feel free to check out videos of my Type R :)
@@NathanFrench *> While they are similar, the Type R is the preferred performance vehicle. It is lighter than the Euro R as it has no sound deadening, no sunroof or electric windows etc. The Type R also has a little more power and a more aggressive LSD with shorter ratios* I call bullshit on that. Type-R weighs 1348 kilos, Euro-R is 1330 kilos. Euro-R had never had sunroof, and the little sound deadening that it has doesn't really amount to much additional weight. Type-R H22A7 makes 209bhp, Euro-R H22A makes 217bhp. Dunno about the Type-R gearbox, but gear ratios on Euro-R T2W4 gearbox are pretty damn short, and they're perfect for track use. Accord SiR-T gearbox T2T4 was a bit long and some gear ratios were mismatched for track driving, but the Euro-R ratios are just the sweet spot you'd want from a sports car. Overall, the Euro-R is better in every aspect than its european counterpart Type-R. That's why statements like these: *> It was dubbed the euro r instead of type r because ( if i got this right) was because it wasn't good enough to be called the type r* ...are factually incorrect. The Type-R is inferior to Euro-R, but it's still called Type-R. The Euro-R name may be a tribute to the european Type-R, but it wasn't called that way to show its inferiority to the "true Type-R". P.S. while doing some research i found some confusing info on the Type-R's curb weight. Most sources state that it's 1348 kilos, but i also found numbers like 1405 kilos and 1232 kilos. If it's the latter one, then i can understand how the Euro-R may be inferior to the Type-R. Can someone give me a clarification on that?
For me Cl9 its just a mad looking machine the front end just is mad !!! but in the end Hondas are just mean so many posibilities to go allmotor forced induction or just frankenstien them/Allmotor . the engines are just done properly :)) Greets from Finland!

The Uk spec Accord Type R Ch1 is one of the best looking Hondas. Standard speed line alloys and the huge wing on the back. The biggest Down fall tho is the 5 speed gearbox. It really needed a 6th ( Accord Type R uk spec as with the CL1) On the other hand the CL7 euro R with the Mugen spoiler and lowered springs looks even meaner. There are very few saloons that can handle and ride like the Accord R’s. Either way I wouldn’t say no to all three cars 🇯🇵🇯🇵👍🏻.
I daily a CL1 Torneo Euro-R which is exactly the same as the accord, just different headlights and taillights. Awesome cars for the money. Unfortunately the gearboxes are practically glass and they love to drink some oil. All worth it though.
Impressive power output when you consider that the USDM accord of that generation had a 3 liter V6 producing just 200 horsepower...17 less than the 2.2 liter 4 banger
There's also the UK spec sold in Europe too CH1 which is the same car different styling. Matter of taste which is preferred but yes in the beginning you mentioned the best Accords produced. The CL7 Euro R which produced 220bhp and was JDM only and had the K20a engine. A real beast of a saloon. UK and Europe never received it, that's Honda marketing for you.🤔

Best looking the CB7, and in America I think the tsx is really nice looking too.
Guys you should check out EDM Accord Type R CH1 model. Same engine with few ponies left, also looks awesome (unless I'm biased because that Accord model was my 1st car - non Type R tho)
The golden age of Honda TBH
The European Accord Type R is the best looking of that generation imo. I love the back end of those models.
CH1 is EDM version
@@lifemocker85 Yeah thanks for telling me I forgot lol. When I went to Japan I saw one imported and lost my shit that it was there
I would say the CL7 is the best.
The Euro R ones are great.
what do you prove?
Cl1 Euro R is a good car but the BEST generation of the Honda Accord Euro R is the Cl7... Best shape, power drive train. Now the next generation of Honda accord Euro R in the CU2 Is fading away from being a high performance and semi sporty to just luxury... So for me the Cl7 is the last Euro R right now.
JDM CL1 Accord accelerates better and turns than CL7. It’s also easier, so previous people don’t understand what they are talking about.
Those things are pretty sweet! Never got them here in the US
Yeah there like $4000 in my country
@@Legend-lc9bv Wow that's insane!
@@TheJMedia Toyota supra any thing with a 2jz all Honda's evos etc that is restricted in America we get them has standard in Jamaica
Really love this car. Having a 6th Gen CG5 Accord, I always wanted this car. I also want EC5A (8th Gen) Mitsubishi Galant VR4 to fill my garage. But really not fond of 25 year rule in United States.
This has always been my favorite accord, wish the states could get them already :(
what I've always found confusing is that the JDM version of this gen accord is called the EuroR, and the Type R is made in Europe, UK, they should be the other way round right?
I always found calling Europe and UK two different things. The UK is in Europe.

*> While they are similar, the Type R is the preferred performance vehicle. It is lighter than the Euro R as it has no sound deadening, no sunroof or electric windows etc. The Type R also has a little more power and a more aggressive LSD with shorter ratios*
I call bullshit on that. That's why statements like these:
*> It was dubbed the euro r instead of type r because ( if i got this right) was because it wasn't good enough to be called the type r*
...are factually incorrect.
I think I saw a Celica in the background that would be a nice one to see a review on.
For me Cl9 its just a mad looking machine the front end just is mad !!! but in the end Hondas are just mean so many posibilities to go allmotor forced induction or just frankenstien them/Allmotor . the engines are just done properly :)) Greets from Finland!
thats not a bad price for an imported unicorn. $7432 usd is a deal if i were able to drive it legally in usa...really nice
You need to come to a complete stop for the EPS to switch settings.
EPS is also on my 1997 Honda Torneo SIR
Take out the 110 Mark II next! Cant go wrong with an IR-V or if they have a 110 V25 Verossa!
Krafttworks turbo kit mugen suspension and full skunk 2 exhaust and and set of koning helium rims tint the windows and ad fog lights and you have something really sick.
This would be the coolest daily. I’ll probably buy one when they’re legal to daily.
I don’t know if anyone noticed but when he shows the rear seats you can tell that he has the driver seat “WAY” higher than the passenger seat! 😂
I don’t think he tried looking to see if the seats fully adjustable?
You're wrong in saying that. The Honda Accord CU2 is by far the best looking car Honda ever made.
There's so many good cars at velocity, I cant decide. Do a video on the Toyota Aristo V300 Vertex. I know, Automatic, but its got the 2jz-gte in it. That alone is worth checking out.
Nice. Thanks for turning me on to their website. Do the Mitsubishi Pajero they have. That’s a cool looking little truck.
Dream car for sure
i’m gonna buy one at the end of this year
I would love to see a direct comparison to the normal accords we have in the us I thought for sure the chassis is actually different and the front end
EURO R IS SUCH A GREAT CAR
I daily a CL1 Torneo Euro-R which is exactly the same as the accord, just different headlights and taillights. Awesome cars for the money. Unfortunately the gearboxes are practically glass and they love to drink some oil. All worth it though.
Man you’re just not shifting right.
@@paradigmshifter0146 wat
Impressive power output when you consider that the USDM accord of that generation had a 3 liter V6 producing just 200 horsepower...17 less than the 2.2 liter 4 banger
Yea those j30's didn't get good until the 7th gen, when they got the 6 speed manual transmission.
The Euro R is sexy and had more power.. But the Sir-t version revved higher with its f20b engine.. Both was 4 wheel drive
You should finally review a proper Prelude as well ;) very similar engine but much lighter chassis
UK and Europe never received it, that's Honda marketing for you.🤔
This must be a sign, I have only just been looking at buying an imported CL7 euro R here in the UK!
3:13 that girl walking backwards hahaha
90-93 Accord is the best looking Accord ever made.
I know this old post but I’m stoke to find a 2000 CL1 one here in Japan same gray color and stock with low miles.
Watching again for the second time and noticed this car has OEM Mitsubishi wheels on it. Those came on a 2G 99 Eclipse/Evo 4...
this is the ONLY HONDA I'VE EVER WANTED
Nah nsx is...
Honestly, it’s successor (1G TSX) is a better car in every way. But, I do love that generation Euro R!! 😎
This video went accordingly because it has a accord in the video
weak
If they did this to the 5th gem itd be an awsome car I'm an accord enthusiast but I absolutely hate the 6th gen body
The electronic power steering came from the accord and was introduced to the s2000 this shape accord started before the s2000
In the countries that got this shape its known as the Torneo shape Accord
The CL7 was the best and still the best accord
I like EDM Type R Accord CH1 better
We got these in New Zealand. We got a lot of jdm models.
