Defect cascading is a defect which is caused by another defect. One defect triggers the other defect. When a defect is present in any stage but is not identified, hide to other phases without getting noticed. This will result in an increase in the number of defects.
Defect cascading is when one defect leads to the discovery of other defects. This can happen for a variety of reasons, but often it occurs because the original defect was not fixed properly is called defect cascading.
defect cascading simply means one defect leads to multiple defects. example: there is a module which calculates the discount on products so if there is some defect in the module then the calculation will also be impacted thus user will not get the correct price for the particular item.

Hello I have an incoming technical interview on Friday for manual tester position I don't know what to expect and I'm a bit worried because I don't have experience in testing API bcoz for more than 4 years of being a manual tester I only have experience doing a mainframe testing that's all my knowledge of testing any tips or advise please? I already had an interview yesterday but I felt like i failed it becoz i wasn't able to answer most of the question I'm not so technical biut I know to myself that I can do very good at testing I just lack of technicalities.
@@tamillegendgamer4972 I got my job in TCS 2.5 yrs back. As a fresher you need to clear offline coding and aptitude test. When we were selected that time we did not have any information regarding testing. As a fresher they only ask few coding question in interview and they check your confidence and stress management simple.. nothing do they ask regarding testing.
