    Are you from Panama? Or have you tried Panamanian food before and liked it as much as we did? Is there a must try Panamanian dish, that we didn’t include in our video, that we have to eat while we’re still in Panama? Let us know, we love to hear from you!

    Those plantain that you love with cinnamon and sugar are called plátano en tentación - the fried green plantain are patacones 😉

      Ahhh nice, thanks for letting us know! We definitely love them and would be interested in trying the green patacones as well! Anywhere you might suggest or dishes that accompany them well?

    • @Etatdesiege1979
      @Etatdesiege1979 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KyleJess you can eat them with literally anything.
      Patacones are basically an accompaniment. It’s mostly carbs so you need to balance it with a meat like beef or fish. You can also throw in a sauce and eat them just like fries.
      You should also try fried yuca and carimañolas.

    Hello. I'm from Panama, Coronado area is more turistic place, you find more international food options or fast food type restaurant, at least you found one option. The "rose" name of the dessert is more about color and not because of the flower. The bread you tried with coffee, it is goog with the local white cheese.
    In Panama City, locals eats more in small restaurants called "fonda", those are not in the turistic area.
    Some of the restaurants you can eat local type food: El trapiche, Mi ranchito, Pencas.
    Local fast food type restaurant Niko's Cafe, they have normal panamenian food type. In some malls Asados Gaby Dana or El Asador have also local type food.

      Ahh gracias Oscar! We appreciate you clearing up some of that information for us! We also appreciate the insight on some other places to check out! We have come to realize that the Coronado area is much more of an expat community/touristy, but happy to have found Delicias Margot to have a true taste of Panamanian food! We will be sure to look into some of your suggestions, as we have plans to check out more of Panama City as well!

    1:54 - not even two minutes into the video and she already shows bad manners by digging into somebody else’s plate. And what’s up with knife and form in the wrong hands? You people are savages!

    • @KyleJess
      @KyleJess  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha well we are always sharing food together, and the point of that day and the video was to get a taste of all the local flavors, not just a single dish. Also, they were unfortunately out of right handed knives that day 😉

    No veo que disfruten el degustar los platillos... Solo simulan que les está agradando el sabor pero hay que actuar mejor...
