the two bottom feet are supposed to go on the bumper not the trunk lid itself, it even says so in the manual, but cudos for nice rack, just got mine, by mistake i paid mine 34 canadien dollar becos pricing error lol ,,, sooooo worth it yes

I set mine up like you have it with the bottom feet against the trunk instead of the bumper. I thought the anti sway straps were for the front wheel to keep it from flopping around. Oops. After watching this and other video on the subject, I realize I might have done that part wrong. Anyway, nice video.

Think the MILLION DOLLAR question I have searched via google and TH-cam still no answer what are the holes on the straps for ? I currently own 2020 Saris 2 bones and older 3 bones and have no clue why the newer model strap in buckles have holes on the end

The holes are designed for your fingers to help pulled the straps tight.

You have to buy a false cross bar

You need to purchase a cross bar adaptor that mounts to the bike. It can then be put on the rack.

I have questions. So how far off the car is the front tire of the first bike? I have an exhaust that comes out just a smidge. Will small bungee straps keep the tire straight enough from touching? Also, one last question. How much paint rubs off from the friction, during the drive? I understand my high dollar bike is going to take some crashes, but just wondering if that's something to worry about.

@@tonysmith2082 honestly, I don't know how you get around it getting worn in transit, unless you have a quick release front wheel, and go with a roof mount. I put some AMS frame protectors on mine, so it's a little less noticeable. I'm not sure about the more expensive racks, but I kind of have a limit on what I am willing to pay lol. In my humble opinion, the pricing gets ridiculous.

I put some baby socks on all three legs and cut slits in the socks for and pulled them over the straps to protect the bike frame.
