Welcome to a new Vectornator Tutorial. Today, the amazing Soodabeh Damavandi is showing us how to draw a vector polar bear with a simple background.
Polar bears might look cute and cuddly, but this massive bear shouldn’t be messed with. For thousands of years, the white marine mammal has reigned as the fiercest predator in the Arctic regions. However, despite their power, polar bears are now considered a vulnerable species. Sadly, climate change is their biggest threat, but why not show your love for polar bears by drawing one in Vectornator?
It might seem a little daunting to try and render this majestic creature, but with some guidance from illustrator Soodabeh Damavandi, you’ll be able to draw a beautiful polar bear in just a few simple steps.

Can you undo and redo subtract shapes? I'm new into vector art

Hi! The action is destructive at the moment. But you can undo by tapping the canvas with two fingers until the action is undone ✌️

Thanks for this amazing tutorial! I'm having troubles however creating the shadow of the polar bear. Whenever I duplicate its shape and hit "substract", the polar bear disappears except for the fringes. I'm kind of stuck - can you help?

Oh I see what you mean! So the steps are:
1. copy the bear shape
2. paste it twice (this is something that it's not clearly stated in the tutorial).
3. move one of the duplicates to the left
4. select the duplicate on the left with the other duplicate
5 subtract.
This should do it!
