Nice video,I'm dreaming to do same for my wife's jeep tj never do like that before I think for me biggest problem wiring job not sure I do his that makes me scared to start all job
Those 3.0 eco diesels are not great motors. Watch "i do cars" teardown of that engine. Look like nighmares to work on. Dodge used them in their 1500. Class action lawsuit against chysler. Personally know a guy who went through TWO new engines, sued Dodge.
@@jimbote1968 It isn't an eco diesel its the 2008 Mercedes engine that was used for 2 years when Chrysler and Mercedes joined forces and were called Dalmer Chrysler.
You're obviously clueless on the capability of a vw tdi engine. Been driving a tdi swapped 4x4 tacoma for over 13 years and 200k miles. 190 hp 300 tq. 30+ mpg. Your corolla engine couldn't come close to the performance or fuel economy of the tdi. Not to mention the complete nightmare of getting parts stateside.
Getting closer every video 👍

I have a 2007 FJ Cruiser and would like to install an CRD Mercedes from my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Thoughts or tips appreciated.
Careful that's not a mercedes engine. It's a VM Motori diesel engine.

what motor is the starter from? toyota i assume?
Toyota or Chevy are the options I think
that engine is too small it can be good for a corolla but the corolla diesel engine is better than the tdi
