I have had the Roborock S5 Max for a few years and it’s a workhorse. I now use it upstairs, replacing the downstairs robot vacuum with the Dreamtech L10s Ultra, which is a huge technological improvement over the S5. I am surprised to see that Roborock still uses vibrating mopping pads. This Black Friday, if the Dreamtech x40 is marked down sufficiently (US$1200), I will buy that and pass the Roborock along. All this is to say that these purchases are based on the content of this channel. And you have not steered me wrong. I truly appreciate the work that you do and I watch every Friday when a new video drops.
in the exact same boat as you! I love my Roborock S4 (no mop) but plan to finally buy another with mop technology and the X40 looks amazing.. just wish it had the auto clean mop like the S1 Pro roller where it cleans while it drives but im sure in the future all robots will go in that direction (mops a lot better so far) but rather have the X40 since its superior in every other segment for now
Your programs are great. Would like to see more comments on reliability. Who wants to spend $1000 or more on a robot that goes out in less than a year? From the comments on amazon, the sellers, (producers) do not stand behind their products. the internet is replete with stories of them not backing their products. Maybe some kind of ratings of manufacturers could be shown. I know that would be difficult but very helpful.
Same here. After 10 months, S8 went faulty sensors. I think they need to improve their water resistance specially that it mops too otherwise increase their warranty to at least 3 years
@@frankmccain1411 I think the need to extend the warranty for like 3 years as a standard! The machines are helpful in keeping the home vacuumed and clean, but they should be sold at half their prices or give 3 years warranty. For mopping I advice to get separate mop robot and keep the vacuum only for vacuuming
Just wondering, Dose the average include old dump robots? Like the first roomba if so shouldn't it be updated to include only the new current available smart robots?
You had Dreame X40 Ultra as #1 a few weeks ago (video crowned it as the new king), but I see it as #2 now. Anything change or you just decided Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is better?
AWESOME!!!! major tech differences . They almost look like the same robot. Bet one was not happy that it lost due to the other model being better! your friend and biggest fan Aaron
Wow! That was an interesting comparison! I knew the S8+ would excel at obstacle avoidance because it has a more sophisticated sensor on the front. But both are awesome picks, right?
Did you know that there is a canister vacuum called the Prolux Tritan? It usually retails for around 200$. But it has more cfm than the Riccar Radiance and the Kirby Avalir 2! Do you think you could review the Prolux Tritan?
Can you test the Daikin MCB50YSAU and MCKB70YSAU? They boast large SQFT air purifying cleaning capacity and have activated charcoal filters as well as UVC light filters.
I'd love to see a video comparing similar robots (top of the line, budget, price) from years ago to now to see how much has changed - suction, obstacle avoidance, navigation etc. I recently bought an S8 pro ultra over the S8 max ultra because of a deep discount that made it half the price. I went from a Neato D4 to the D6 (I didn't find much to be different) then to the S8 pro ultra. A lot has changed in only a few years.
Could we get full transparency? For example, you say vacuums were tested on how much sand was picked up. Could you show us how a short clip, removing the bin and dumping the sand from the bin? Or giving us measurements? Great channel! Look forward to the next one!
3 years with the s7, please dont forget to clean your mopping pad. your floor could become smelly because of the wet dusty pad. i have given up mopping function
I can get the Q8 Max at almost 1/3 of the price of the S8+ in Sweden, I guess this makes it a no brainer, right? Or the Q8 Max+ for about half the price vs. S8+ (but I dont see it being worth it?). Upgrading from a standard Roborock S5 should still be a huge improvement I assume :)

Tests need to include pet hair on carpet test since hair on hardwood is much easier
I wish there were reviews like yours for every type of product

This so true. No use spending so much money and it only works correctly 3-6 months.

What do you mean faulty sensors?
@@yoooei5792 the cliff sensors was sensing a cliff by mistake and that’s why the vacuum kept moving around itself for ever.

Love the videos on the 4K quality

Hey, is it possible that when you do your reviews to measure how thick the vacuum cleaner is?

Please advise which is better to take S7 maxV or Q8 max?

Just buy a bunch of pads. Change them every couple days. Wash them and don’t worry about smelly pads.
The problem is that the entire mopping component starts to smell, not just the mop. I have the same issue with my S7.
@@RaviGianni999 Smelly paaad, smelly paaad, whaaat are they feeding you
Doesnt irobot have a patent on the dual roller?
Thank you a lot for your very detailed reviews!
Glad you like them!
How do these compare to the roborock Qrevo S?
The S8+ did better at avoiding obstacles because of the more sophisticated sensor on the front. But, both are awesome, right?

Love the content! Will you be covering the new Switchbot vacuum/mop combo in the future?
I’m not sure if this Vacuum is available in the region but could you do a review of the LiteVak by Tineco?
@VacuumWars I would greatly appreciate it if you could test the new Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI. Keep up the good work!
We have a review of the new Samsung Bespoke AI out now right here: th-cam.com/video/qrTfy8E3Lz4/w-d-xo.html
Would love to see Xiaomi Mijia M40S review.
Love this channel. How about the Narwal? Every other channel there paid to review but I wonder if there is any good.
what about j7 vs q8 on carpets?
Xiaomi x20+ review please 😊
I have an S8 but no Auto-Empty Bin can I buy it separately?
No, they won't sell the auto-empty bins separately. Best you can do is get another charger (assuming it's not out of stock).
Finally, thanks
You should review the switchbot s10
Are the spare parts like brushes or hepa filters mutually compatible (s8 vs q8) ??
I would check with the manufacturer. We haven't tried that.
@@VacuumWars Thank you. The reason is that there is a lot of accessory for S8 but not so much for Q8 and usually more expensive.
Pls do a review on the Qrevo Master.
That's coming tomorrow!
Thank you, as always!
You're very welcome!
How can the S8+ have worse airflow than the Q8 even though it has higher suction power? They both got the same rollers
Can you review the new samsung jetbot ai+ robots?

My kingdom for a robot vac that can deal with long human hair🤞
Hopefully you can do 4K 60
My mom just brought the shark stain striker
We hope she enjoys it!
Don’t even have a spinning mop brush how can this be flagships 😂
Dual rollers are just crap.
Why?
Single roller makes all your time thinking you saved on the robot really makes you detangle hair from the roller
First?
yup! 🏆
