- We discuss a few things, including the recent sprocket mod and why it might not be working out on this bike. Apparently there is a glitch in the ECU, and has been, for over 10 years, that only kicks in with certain gear combos... Conclusion, despite the title, I don't recommend this sprocket change for THIS specific bike...
We also discuss why sometimes, what your owner's manual says is not gospel...

Ever come to a conclusion to the stutter?
yeah, the ECU has a glitch when you have certain sprocket combinations... The traction control system looks at the front and rear wheel speed sensors, but it also looks at RPM, and when it sees that the wheels speeds aren't what it expects for that RPM, it glitches. I confirmed this with several sources...

@@jdub264 nothing to do with the flash. It impacts both flashed and stock ECU bikes.
Hey, Dave on a few of the Q3+ tires it was difficult getting the tire to seat. Has this ever happened to you. I like the tire, but it has done this a few times. Thanks
The guys at Cycle Gear told me that they hate mounting dunlops on Kawasaki bikes... For that reason... Something about getting the bead to pop...
Dave you will really like the Q3+ Dunlaps especially when you get a rear flat which I have had on all my ZX14r's, and never on any of the 21 other bikes.
Yeah, the Q3+ is normally my go to tire for sportbikes, and so I tossed a set on a couple months ago, already did a track day on them. 🙂
They are not called "Dunlaps" they are called DUNLOPS !! Don't insult the Tire Manufacturer with your lack of 'knowledge' !!
