    Don't think we have ever tried Rava fish before (or even heard of it haha). Is it a local Indian fish?

    • @LifetimeTravelmates
      @LifetimeTravelmates  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      rava is semolina, the "breadcrumbs". it's just a "batter" method. there are dishes like squid rava fry, prawn rava fry...whatever fish/seafood rava fry is coated on that semolina. nice and different than flour or breadcrumbs or tempura...
      apart from that, the fishes here have different since most of the restaurants use the Konkani names (the native language in Goa) or hindi. And we don't even know many fish names in English 😅😅

      We don't eat fish often because of the bones and all but yeah less bones better for us, too. 😆

    Love the vibe of the first place got the tropical Asian feel for sure. Goan fish Thali seems like a must try dish 🎣 The second place also looks nice but you know that saying you get what you pay for 😁👌 appreciate all the bloopers at the end its comforting to know we aren't the only ones getting stuck in our words 😂

    No samosas? Lol, that is very popular for Indian snack food! :)

    • @LifetimeTravelmates
      @LifetimeTravelmates  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      haha! Samosas here: th-cam.com/video/VMtj2R0wCvo/w-d-xo.html
      Fish Thali doesn't contain samosas. It's more made of "meal food" rather than with snacks.
      Of course, we love samosas!

    Chonak Thali is overpriced at both places I feel...My fav thali places are Ritas(Candolim), Vinayak(Assagao), Ritz and Spice Goa. Even their thalis are priced at max 300 including taxes. And smaller joints with homemade food...you get a yummy thali for 140 bucks

    • @LifetimeTravelmates
      @LifetimeTravelmates  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Later, we tried the one in Vinayak and Spice Goa and it was pretty decent! But it was not chonak but still it was good! We haven't tried the Ritas and Ritz. Thanks for the recommendation! 🥰🥰🥰 Which one is your favorite?
