My first ever fish curry rice was in Benaulim when Pedro`s had a sand floor and 4 tables. It was 12 rs. It was pretty cheap but it was 36 years ago. Last winter I was in South Goa for the 14th time in 36 years and the fish curry rice is still in my all time top 10 meals. Fortunately in my city in England we have a good number of mainly Gujarati ran Thali houses which are nearly as good as Goan ones....and about 12 times the price.
