@Evitra Saldanha Have you also tried the Niyaaz Original Belgaum Biryani OMG 🤤 its simply amazing and during lockdown if you're unable to visit, then why not try making it at home 😀 I recreated the Niyaaz Original Belgaum Biryani recipe at home and it was delicious 🤤 Do give it a try👍😀
I think this is the first time I've ever seen Galmo cutlet, Parra and Bimbli curry being served in a thali in a restaurant in Goa. I'm definitely going here just to eat that Bimbli curry. It's been ages since I've had bimbli. And the owner just seems so passionate about his food.
Yes, he makes the curry himself. It's very rare to get those things in a Thali anywhere.

Very happy to see bimbli woodfire curry and para! No one strangely mentions para anywhere in goan food but its a regular at home if your from south Goa. Love that it was made and served at this restaurant. For anyone who does not know para is a salted dried mackerel soaked for months in a concentrated masala like rechardo but with addition of some garam masala spices like cinnamon and clove powder and tons of vinegar and its stored in air tight glass jars and fried when you want to eat it. It goes great with rice , curry, kanji, even with dal and rice. The only catch is that its extremely sour so 1 dried fish is enough as a pickle portion and its like a 2.0 version of rechardo masala. If you like that you will like this. U can buy marinated para from the food markets at mapusa etc. We usually buy and bring it with us to bombay on our way back and stock up so its always there at home. Staples of a goan diet. Warning though If your not a fan of sour food then please keep away. This Sour food lovers heaven.

Ooh woow.. our lovely goan food.. the fire wood cooked curry . So much goa has in food. Lots of our own food cooked has been lost due to outside people run restaurant.
My goal is to showcase our Goan restaurants and local food before it gets lost in history. And by doing these videos our local businesses will get support so they can continue our Goan legacy and share our food and culture with everyone.

Much awaiting video..the fish cutlet looking thing( chops) next to the King fish rawa fry is my favourite ..my mom learnt it from one of her Goan friend and she now makes it on special occasions..searched a lot of places for this..and finally found it here 😍
