The most important reason for Bangladesh's progress is here we are not discriminated based on gender (except by some sexual predators of course). I am a working woman & now pregnant. My in laws, husband & my parents also want a daughter because they know daughters are not burdens, they are assets. Progress can't be achieved with half the population being deprived of equal opportunities. Proud to be a Bangladeshi.

"Mukti Bahini" is not an armed group or something like that 😄 . . .In the 1971 war, normal people like students, teacher, police, Bengali army officers, doctors, farmer, basically everyone who can fight went on the liberation war called Mukti Bahini. As we named our war "Mukti Juddho", So the people came to fight with the "Pak hanadar bahini" which means Pakistani army we called them Mukti Bahini . . . I don't know how the naming happened but it wasn't any grp before 25 march 1971 . . .

Being a Pakistani, I am very happy to see Bangladesh doing so well and proving everyone wrong.
It was a sad state of affairs for Pakistan to lose Bangladesh but I believe this is what Pakistan deserved after treating bengalis such poorly.

I think Bangladeshi people are the most hard working in the world. They know how to struggle with natural calamities like flood, cyclone. And another factor that worked behind it's success is it's secularism. Govt. of Bangladesh is strictly controlling the fundamentalists where the India and Pakistan failed of. Overall maximum credit goes to PM Sheikh Hasina, the woman who sacrifices a lot for the country.

@ব খ তী য়া র ফ য় সা ল [BAN] my dear pakistani brother i didnt say anyone is superior or inferior. Everyone is equal in the eye of Islam. And yes iam from bihar now in jharkhand but aoart from urdu i also able to speak many languages , Arabic, hindi ,english & german. And dont say east and west bengal, it is unified bengal after british divided bengal in two parts and this creates tension within it. And bangladesh is liberated by only the efforts of bangladeshi resistence and Indian army. Pakistan army is abled to crush all rebellion brutally at that time. Only our country pm take tough decision at that time.
      So be thankful.
Now balochistan is also pleading indian govt to liberate them. You are jealous towards Indians. Do you whatever you want but you know one thing is that now bangladesh is not under develop economy and now bangladesh govt must pay custom duty for their exports and now their textile export become costly in EU and other western countries.
There is no more foreign aid now. And if you are a pakistani then your country must rely on CPEC project or business of Chinky china. Pakistan may not be survived by US aid. And last if you dont have a knowkedge about India then shut your mouth.
And yes offcourse iam better safe in my country India. It is far better than any muslim country in asia. Alhamdolillah, Allah is my Rab, and he is the saviour of you and me and all human kind in this earth.

It is important to mention that traditionally (till 1800s), India was the richest country (China was too a competitor) and Bangla was the richest province.
Thus historically this Bengal region has been the richest and most developed area for ages.

Do you think he will survive even 1 day in the politics? I doubt. Politics is very different than just developing. It's about getting the most votes. Let's see in 1994 the so called best PM rule vajpayee. He had to suffer coalition break ups and lots of back stabbing(one political party even said they would join him in coalition but next day during the actual vote they voted against). He was someone who couldnt stay in power, only because of 2 year emergency did he stay in power and brought progress.
Modi and Mota bhai recognize this and use Hindu Muslim agenda etc to get as many votes. Right winged agenda to divide people is very effective and requires less work than say governments like Kerela which actually work for people.
Basically Modi and Mota bhai's goal is to stay in power and pass economic reforms which no one can question. That way they hope to better the country.
Just remember every politician tries to make the life of people better be it RG or Mamata etc. They have different ideologies and ways about it.

Thanks for the video, Mohak. I am a Bangladeshi and I appreciate all the information you brought forward, some of which could be corrected though. For example, the climate change issue. Bangladesh is now the 7th most affceted country by climate change, but a decade back Bangladesh was the MOST climate vulnerable country in the world. And we have worked on that, we brought reform in policies, invested a lot on climate research and application and of course, our NGOs did and are still doing fantastic job. Well, climate change won't get any better for sure, but Bangladesh is doing its best to stay prepared.
Bangladesh still has a long way to go. We are still a young country and we are standing on crossroads of westernization and conservatism. Class disparity is still an important issue in the society. But there is one thing that has always been true, Bangladeshis are very resilient- be it against natural disasters or economic downfall. People are hardworking and patient. There is an inherent knack for perseverance and self-improvement in Bangladeshis. We might not become the best, but we never stop trying to get better than yesterday. I don't think we ever competed economically or geopolitically with India or Pakistan or with any country for that regard. We just wanted to get better than yesterday and here we are. Thanks again.

    1. To keep the military away from power

    4. Builds the young generation dependent on Information and Communications Technology

Read a comment below you about the media and social influence how bad it is and in long term how badly will affect the country you'll see it after maybe 10-20 years. You're being as short sighted as the current govt I mean even if your theory on North East and Siliguri comes close to anywhere near to real it still will be like giving more taking less type of deal. Let me give some examples like check deshi tv commercials then count the percentage of the Indian dubbed version ones, I even heard lately local commercials are being done by Indian productions, that's the power of lobbying. Textbook printings, passport printings to the local jobs are getting lobbying priorities and special quotas. So, it's the other way around. Let ask you another question adding the previous one of course, you still believe international cricket is still a global game not some rich scheme?

Bangladesh is the only country in the world in which a women was defacto leader of country more time than its male counterpart
Edit : Whole point of my comment is
You know what there is subconscious mind
There are many things which are not taught to us we learn it by just observing our surrounding
Suppose there are two child one is from Pakistan and one from Bangladesh
The child from Bangladesh is watching a woman leader leading its country successfully making its prosperous and many male officials working under her
    From his childhood
So his mindset will be more towards woman equality more liberal and open comparing to the child in Pakistan
You can see it from statistics too the percentage of woman who are working is continuously increasing in Bangladesh as campare to india , Pakistan
