    I have bought tires on line and most of those sights have a local place to mount and balance tyres and tired dis & remounting is labor INTENSIVE. Why not save your time and let someone with equipment do it? Tim's cursing is coming along nicely.
    LOVE YOUR CHANNEL from the left coast

    I like the cooper st/maxx, but I am thinkin the bfg a/t ko2 is the best all around tire going, 365 days of the year. Have them on three trucks, and the new balancing beads out now are amazing, another great video Wes!!

    damn such a familiar sight ,, i just did this exact same thing to my truck today ,, 6 new tires
    and i did it the exact same way by hand with a flat bar

    Most tires have a paint dot, usually blue or red. If you line up that dot with the valve stem, and it makes it easier to balance with less weight needed

    Word of advice, when those glass beads are out of the bag and hit the shop floor they go everywhere and you will be finding them for months.

    Nice. I guess Ive never heard of balancing tires like that...interesting! I have bought several sets of tires online over the last few years....way cheaper than a tire store and they come within a day or two....I think the UPS guy hates me sometimes though. I take them to a local mom and pop type tire store a town over to get mounted because I have no way of doing it here.

    Interesting. I've never heard of these balancing beads, but I would really like to see how these turn out. The Mastercrafts on my truck are getting worn down and I would be willing to do this on my truck and save some money by not going to a tire shop.

    people with concerns about this balance method should not be concerned!! semi trucks have used balance powder for yrs! we will run a virgin tire out and then we sell the casings to be capped and the casings are fine!!! this method is better because if the tire or rim gets some slight damage the balance is changing to what it needs!! the old balance weights just sit there for the duration!! new car companies have been talking about switching to this!

    You actually get the info off the door jam? I am impressed! I have encountered a few people that read inflation info on the tire and inflate the tire to max...then wonder why they are replacing suspension components 6 months later.

    • @ducewags
      @ducewags 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steven Hardy Do you remember when SUVs had tire problems from ford? It all got blamed on firestone tires that needed 44psi, ford recomended 32psi. Never use the door sticker for tire psi, always use the tire psi specs.

    • @jdtractorman7445
      @jdtractorman7445 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steven Hardy That is correct people should use the door jamb sticker. The pressure on the sidewall of the tire is the maximum pressure that can safely be in the tire. A lot of people are misinformed on this very subject.

    • @srvafool
      @srvafool 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steven Hardy I think checking both the door and the tire specs would be a good procedure.

    • @onelonleyfarmer
      @onelonleyfarmer  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have to use the pressure on the door jam because it's the proper inflation for the weight of the vehicle over inflated tires cause all kinds of problems from premature tire wear to lack of traction and sliding hydroplaning and things like that

  • @RodHays
    @RodHays 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I take it these beads go in the opposite direction of the out of balance and causes the tire to be balanced? How can this be? I bet Tim can explain it for me,right?

    When you mount the tires on the truck do you use a Torque Wrench to finish the job or do you just ram 'em on with the impact wrench and hope you don't warp the rotors?

      +Central Iowa Farmer I'm kind of scared to that too...i'll stick with my bubble balancer...it suffices. I'm old school w/ even amounts of lead on opposite sides of the rim.

    • @onelonleyfarmer
      @onelonleyfarmer  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Central Iowa Farmer they save tires not ruin them. They last a long long time I have used this in steering tires for years and have gotten 100k+ out of them

    • @toddpetry7859
      @toddpetry7859 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +toddster772008 I use them in my motorcycle tires. Great stuff but you have to be carfeul not to get and lube in the tire that will cause them to clump up. They ones I use are called Dynabeads and are ceramic not glass.

    I used to think the same thing, but after watching them for years I realize it is all in fun. Wes loves to aggravate Tim. The more he gets under his skin, the more he does it. There's nothing to it really. RRrrright Tim?

    " right Tim " right Tim". Love Wes and the channel God knows these guys bust their ass, but he can be a jerk to Tim smile as that, and no I am not hypersensitive. He says it's all n good fun but dam I sure would get sick of being talked to like that all day. I am sure it's hard when it's father and son working together all day everyday.....maybe they just play it up for the camera, whatever I guess

    • @crabhab
      @crabhab 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Chuck Polhamus , That would get old after one or two days. I know Wes claims Tim doesnt mind and it is all in good fun but, I would throat punch Wes after the first week of that shit. I like bantering but enough already Tim is a loyal son and hard worker.

    • @jaybee848
      @jaybee848 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +onelonleyfarmer You can argue that Wes picks at Tim more than you like. Everyone has their own comfortable limit but I'll bet those of you that make this claim don't tell your son you love him as much as Wes. Now judge that.....
